Stayed four days at Tamarindo Boutique Hotel and honestly, it was a serene little slice of paradise. Marie, the host, is super sweet and always just a WhatsApp away. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was wonderful , refreshing and clean. The extra little things like filtered water and bottles in the room to have whenever needed. Peace and quiet, cant do anything about the roads, but that parking was sufficient and right next to the entrance.

We had a great stay at the hotel and all the staff was extremely friendly. There is a nice pool to soak away with hot coffee and a mini fridge with cold drinks next to the pool. If you dont speak Spanish that is no problem as the staff speaks good English. Best part there is no party or bar noise which is common in beach towns. We walked to the beach each day, walking around after dark is very safe and secure. You cant go wrong if you pick this hotel.

This is the most beautiful, peaceful and well designed property. Maria and Bathsheba were both so kind and helpful. I stayed in two different rooms, and each one was immaculate. The pools were both beautiful and the grounds were peaceful and perfect. The kitchens in both rooms had everything I wanted and needed to cook meals. I cannot say enough good things about this lovely hotel, that is just a few minutes walk to the beach and to town.

Absolutely outstanding! We stayed in villa 17. It was amazing. It was a free standing unit with tons of windows and the most gorgeous outdoor shower. Very well appointed with lots of supplies in the kitchen, full sized fridge, washer/dryer, close to the pool, and supremely clean and spacious. The staff here is wonderful. We got in late and it was so easy getting in and to our villa. Super close to lots of restaurants, bars, coffee places, and 5-10 min walk to the beach. We rented a car, and the parking was safe and easy as well. We will definitely be back.

Our room (villa) was beautiful beyond imagination. Absolutely 10 stars. But the workout area was on the opposite end. Although it was a few minutes walk away from “downtown”, it was a pain to walk to get even coffee, because of dirt roads and no side walk.

Very quiet spot, does not feel like the rest of Tamarindo. Walking distance to shops restaurants, and beaches. My wife and I were kicking off a month in Costa Rica and it was an excellent transition spot. The apartment felt very homey with a very comfortable king bed and a very nice kitchen area with a table. The bathroom was also massive. A full coffee maker with coffee was provided. There was a full refrigerator and all the utensils we needed. They had a filtered water dispenser that served up cold water. They also had a nice little pool. Would definitely stay again if we are ever in Tamarindo.

Nice quiet place in the heart of bustling Tamarindo. Minor criticisms: Microwave and/or toaster/oven would have been convenient. Also, the metal "glasses" provided in the rooms are not conducive to drinking wine.

This property is a quiet, peaceful haven in a very busy beach area of Tamarindo. The property is beautifully maintained, the staff was outstanding, and the comfort and security of the guests is prioritized. The hotel is a short stroll from everything you could want locally-- beach and restaurants -- and the staff is very knowledgable about the area and happy to help. We had a wonderful, restful 4 days.

The property was very clean and the staff were friendly, however this is not a 4 star hotel as advertised. If you're expecting 4 star quality and service this is not it. It is definitely a 3 star hotel and I do believe there are better ones in the area. The place is very small. There's about 3 people on staff (not including the people that clean). Breakfast was okay. They placed me in a room where construction was being done in the back area every morning which was very loud. I don't understand why a hotel would place someone in a room where construction is being done (and not offer some type of discount). There was also issues with the TV in the room (and I eventually had to be moved to another room which was inconvenient because at that point I was already settled). Also there was no microwave in my room or in any common areas. Overall, the staff was friendly and the issues I had were minor, but as I said this is not a 4 star hotel which is what I expected.

I highly recommend this hotel if you like a serene & tranquil environment. The place was beyond relaxing. The only suggestions I could make for improvement are newer, softer towels, an ice maker and maybe a little more variety for breakfast to break it up a bit. Overall staff & service were exceptional.
