Breakfast was pretty good the first morning except the pancake machine was not working. The 2nd morning there was hardly any food out. No sausage or bacon, no omelets or eggs. We waited about 15 minutes and no one ever brought more out. The elevator was not working so it made it very difficult going up and down the stairs several trips with kids and luggage. Ice machine was broken down. Pool water was cloudy. Overall it was not a pleasant stay. We did enjoy the shops across the street and Dubs Pizza was excellent.

Parking was not good. We came in in the evening and no spots were open. There were 4 large trucks each taking up 2 spots that were the issue. We were traveling with young children and walking from a parked car a distance away in 3 degree weather was not good. Also. We had 4 in the room. Only enough towels for 2 people and no bedding the the pull out sofa ( the bedding on the sofa was dirty)

Decent stay. Biggest perk is the very convenient location - within walking distance to all the Frankenmuth shops, right across the street from the River Place Shops & the Bavarian Inn. Beds were comfortable, we slept well. My only real gripes are that the parking lot and pool are both very small.

The Bad: Upon arrival we entered our room, and it was still dirty. Bed was clean, however, could tell the room itself wasn't properly cleaned, let alone vacuumed. Parking is very scarce, be prepared to have to park across the main street at the River shops center which is not ideal if you have children with you and many belongings. The Good: Breakfast was actually one of the better spreads we have seen as far as hotels go. Pool is a nice size, clean and hours are great for adults and kids. Not the worst place, however, needs to be cleaned better between occupants.

The hallways were very dirty. Walking to the elevator there was used dental floss in a pile of dirt and other debris. Then a similar pile was outside of our bedroom door on the 3rd floor. Room was comfortable as far as the bed, temp, tv, etc. I did have to use some Clorox wipes on the table/end table they were dirty. I also wiped off some other things since that stuff was dirty.

The room was not cleaned very well, had to wipe everything down myself. Hairs on the toilet etc. The parking lot was a mess with snow that had fallen a day before i even arrived. Hotel was very lax when it came to cleanliness and safety. I won't stay there again.

We liked the location; proximity to shops and restaurants was great! Our room was not very clean and very dusty. The staff member at check in was not friendly. Much friendlier staff member upon check out.

The staff at the front desk were very nice. The lobby and outside looked great. Our rooms were not cleaned properly though. There was crumbs on the floor, a rubber glove under the vanity, mold or mildew in the corners of the handicap shower, and hair on the bathroom floor still.

Breakfast was great! Room cleanliness was not very good. Our room had definitely not been vacuumed prior to our checking in as there were crumbs on the floor. Front desk personnel was not extremely friendly but breakfast personnel were super!

Great location and friendly staff, but paper thin walls. We could hear the people in the room next to us talking. It was busy when we were there, so it was constant opening, closing of doors and kids running up and down the hallway. The people above and beside us stomped around nonstop and I swear moving furniture around.

Many things stood out during our visit here - the staff were all super friendly and very accommodating, we had the pool to ourselves which was great since we were traveling with our 8 month old, rooms were clean and spacious, and the breakfast was very nice. Great location, quick walk to Zenders and shopping. Very glad we chose to stay here rather than the Bavarian Inn or other more traditional hotels. This was perfect for a quiet weekend getaway with my husband and baby. Highly recommend.

Hotel is beautiful but the walls must not have any insulation because we could hear every word from people in other rooms, the hallways, and from the lobby. Also people walking around sounded like a herd of elephants above us. I was disappointed that the guy working the front desk allowed a group of people raising ruckus in the lobby and halls until 1am! We called asking for it to stop several times over two hours before it finally stopped. Would not stay here again for these reasons.

Loved the pool, don’t change a thing, not the temp or chlorine! Breakfast was very good, location is great and within walking distance of most places. The only complaint is the noise level of the hotel doors always slamming automatically without an ease close, and because it is right by the road, it needs thicker windows. Otherwise, I can’t wait to be back!

Situated centrally near all of what Frankenmuth has to offer, this hotel is affordable and has rooms for our larger family. It had great continental breakfast options. However, it's the people that make this property. Everyone, day and night, was kind and helpful. We will visit again.

We arrived at the hotel around 3:30 and we were unable to check in because their computer system was down. We were not very happy as we had driven five hours to get there. We went for a walk around town and came back and we were still not able to check in and it was 7 PM, by this time we were exhausted. The only compensation was them giving us an extra hour on Sunday before checkout. We couldn’t stay the extra hour anyway as we had a long drive also our room was not cleaned while we were there and we had to go down to the front desk to get extra towels and toilet paper , the front desk staff were quite nice, but unfortunately, not being able to check in and not having our room cleaned was not great. Location is awesome though.

Staff was very nice. Breakfast was very good. Cleaniness of room was average. Carpet needs to be cleaned. We stayed on first floor because my mother is handicapped but the ice machines are on the 2nd and 3rd floors which was inconvenient. Other than these things i would stay there again.

We always stay at the Frankenmuth HIX when we visit there, annually. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. And, we love being able to walk across the street and shopping in the River Place shoppes.

I am being charged for 3 rooms when I only had 2. I was told the additional charge was a hold. I was told it would come off after 3 business days. It didn't. Called back and was told it could be between 10-30 days. My bank said that is not correct. Someone was supposed to follow up with me, I never got a call back.

Our stay at the Holiday Inn in Frankenmuth started off well, thanks to the friendly and welcoming front desk staff. However, our experience with the breakfast staff significantly brought down the overall impression. On the morning of checkout, I asked one staff member (Caucasian lady) if there was more coffee available. She didn’t acknowledge me or respond—she simply grabbed the coffee canister to change it. When I said "thank you," she continued to ignore me. Similarly, my mother-in-law asked another staff member (darker-skinned lady) for a couple of basic items and was met with rude responses and even eye-rolling. It’s shocking to feel like a burden for asking for essentials like utensils, which is, after all, part of their job. The hotel amenities were fine, but the rooms and common areas feel outdated and could use a refresh to bring them in line with modern standards. While the friendly front desk staff made the check-in experience pleasant, the poor service from the breakfast team left a bad taste. What could have been a 4-star stay unfortunately drops to a 3-star rating due to these incidents.

Property was in a great location to the shops and downtown core. Staff was friendly and very courteous. Room was spacious and tub was fabulous to soak in after a long day of walking. Carpet was dated and we would have liked a refill on the coffee pods in the room for the second day. If you want to enjoy the free breakfast I suggest you get there by 8 am. We went down first day at 8:30 and only items left were apples and coffee. When asked about will more be coming out we were told no.

Housekeeping forgot to clean a few things in our room before we checked in. And since they start removing breakfast items at least a half hour before breakfast ends, make sure you go down to eat early or you go without. Location is great!

Loved the convenient location. Parking was ample and felt safe. The continental breakfast exceeded expectations - great variety of eggs, fruit, pastries, yogurt, etc. Would stay again just for the breakfast ! The receptionist Britany who checked us in was professional, friendly and efficient and made us feel welcomed. The staff with breakfast service was friendly and helpful and kept the service bar refreshed. Coffee was great too ! Plan to come back!

Our stay was great! I see there are mixed reviews, but I really don't understand why. First, no problem with reservations. We arrived and the hotel was very clean, and the staff were very professional and friendly. Our room was spacious, clean and well supplied, everything worked. One of our biggest surprises was the continental breakfast. My wife and I have traveled many different places, and I have to say this was the BEST continental breakfast we have ever had!! It was a full spread that would make anyone happy!! I must say, I am a veteran Marine Sgt. and very picky and this place is at the top of my list!! Enjoy your stay!! We did!!

Very clean room, well stocked with towels. We had the room with jetted tub, so nice to have towels for that as well. Walk in shower was nice as well. Bathroom very clean. So convenient and easy to walk to shops up in Frankenmuth. After we checked in we walked up to shop and have dinner. Breakfast was very good. Wide variety of choices for hot foods. Cinnamon rolls were delicious!
