The hotel was nice and clean. My only complaint is after checking, while bringing our bags up to our room we noticed a sign in the elevator saying the pool was closed. This was very disappointing because i chose this hotel specifically for the pool. It didnt say anywhere online and wasnt mentioned to me at check in. Nothing else was offered for the inconvience. Finding another hotel on such short notice was not an option because i had two (very disappointed) children with me. Otherwise staff was nice and friendly. Lobby and room was clean and well kept. The complimentary breakfast was good and had a large variety. Parking was $20/night in private garage. We would stay here again IF we was guaranteed the pool would be open.

Their swimming pool was closed for maintenance and my daughter was disappointed at the check in. The staff felt sorry for her and gave her little snacks and they waved our parking fee. Great place with outstanding staff and service. Better than some of the 4-5 star hotels I have been to!

Clean and quiet hotel and walkable to a lot of restaurants and the lakes. They also have laundry for guests at 4 bucks a load (2 to wash, 2 to dry). The room was a little smaller than other Hampton Inns we have stayed at but still very comfortable and new. Parking was easy and 25 a night.

boyfriend and I were in town to go ski ,wanted to stay downtown and this place did not disappoint!!! The price , the location, the parking, the amount of places around the hotel and the pool / hot tub. restaurant/bar connected to the hotel with awesome food and amazing drinks and complementary breakfast in the morning with an awesome spread. The room was perfect size and the bathrooms were so nice ! The shower head pressure is so impressive usually I go to hotels with crappy showers!! The only down side was how loud the AC unit in the room was , and the walls are alittle thin but besides that, super worth the stay and the money!! Highly recommended .

Nice hotel in downtown Madison- construction in the area is very noisy but the room was absolutely lovely, with the exception of the very very small bathroom/shower with the curtain that was small enough water leaked all over the floor from either the back or the front. Parking is a fortune in Madison so I wish that with the big expense, there was a shuttle to spots throughout the university.

We had a group of 18 people and 5 rooms. Our stay couldn’t have been better! The rooms were so clean and comfortable, the lobby was a perfect place to gather and have fun late into the night and the breakfast was awesome. Robin the manager was extremely helpful and made sure everything was perfect for us. We will be back for our annual trip next year for sure!! Thanks for the outstanding service!

The staff were SO AMAZING, so accommodating, and very helpful. We have a dog and we felt so welcome and supported, the staff were the friendliest we’ve ever met. We were able to check in early and check out late so we could maximize our trip. We’d 100% stay again, this hotel stays was one of our very favorites - ever!!!

The property was great. The only issue I encountered was at check-in. I spoke with the hotel in the evening to let them know we would be arriving at 12:30 am as my flight didn’t arrive until midnight. I was assured that would not be a problem. Upon arrival I had to wait 45 minutes to get a room. The Wi-Fi was down but the registration person had a printout with my name and room number assigned but they would not issue the room. It was very frustrating after a very long day and a late hour.

I booked 2 rooms hoping to be close together. I tried to check in early online and I was only able to chose one 1 room. I had messaged the hotel and was told it would resolved at the hotel in person. When I got to the hotel I was told that the rooms would be on different floors and I shouldve contacted the hotel 3 days in advance to get rooms next to each other or even on the same floor. The girl that check me in was less than friendly and I was not impressed. The digital key didn't work half the time and it made it difficult to use the elevator.

Parking ramp on site with direct access to rooms from the ramp was a bonus! It was very quiet when we were there— hardly knew anyone else was staying at the hotel. Walking distance to State Street and UW campus. Lots of construction around the hotel which was the only negative. Breakfast was great!

Great place to stay in Madison. The rooms are large and a great value. Parking is $10 per night, with easy in/out. But everything you need is within easy walking distance. Our sole complaint is the free breakfast. There are some good options, such as fresh waffles, but the scrambled eggs were dry and the chicken sausage was cold. The attached Basset Street Brunch Club is a MUCH better option.

Solid option for our University-focused trip. Older building with a definite lack of ventilation in the room: no bathroom fan was tough for sharing with family! And no windows to open. Phew! Good, walkable location near the university, albeit definitely lots of construction in the area, but that's kind of all over Madison right now. Sysco-type "food" for breakfast, but we found a few things that maybe seemed like real food that worked. Location is definitely the plus for this one. Good parking option too!
