The property was very nice and very well up-kept and beautiful. The staff at breakfast was very helpful and friendly. One of the two elevators was broken the whole time we were there causing huge delays and backups. Other than that and the parking being $32 a day to park on the hotel property the hotel is beautiful and very nice.

Great location. Walk to all downtown dining, shops, pier, beach... Nice pool and hot tub area. Eye masks and ear plugs provided due to location on the train tracks. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast set up. Parking is $40 but otherwise reasonable rates. We go there every year.

We will definitely be coming back. This is a great staycation destination. So clean and organized. Great staff, super friendly and helpful. Awesome pool and jacuzzi. And so cool to have the live music on sundays. Amazing view of the pier

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, water stations on every floor. Breakfast in the morning was just what you need to start the day. The hot tub has a beautiful view and the pool is warm too so kids don’t hang out in the hot tub. I like having a couch in the room to to spread out.

Check in was great. The room was beautiful and spacious. I had trouble connecting with the hotel’s internet. The elevators were extremely slow and only one elevator goes to the parking level. Very confusing

There was many things wrong with this hotel. There was a puddle of urine in the bathroom, the elevator to the parking was broken, the elevator that was working was taking more then 10 mins to pick you up and take you down or up, you have to pay 35$ for parking when the parking outside was 25$ . When I went to get a different room it seemed to be a hassle for them. Over all won’t be staying there again.

Had a good stay overall. The facility is clean and generally safe and quiet around the area. The only noise we heard is the train as the hotel is right at the west side of the amtrak railway. It is very close to the beach and oceanside pier.

Nice clean room. Easy check-in. Only complaint is in the morning, housekeeping opened our door at 930am while we were laying in bed. The sleeping/Do not disturb sign was on the door and it wasn’t even close to check out time.

Booked a double queen room with balcony when I arrived on property, all they had was a king with balcony. They switched me to a room with no balcony on the backside of the building where the train goes by. Shower drain was clogged and body wash dispenser was empty.

Comfortable bed, quiet room, great location and many defects that management should have resolved. No bedside USB outlets, a bedside light lacking an on/off switch, desk had two USB outlets but they lacked power, shower soap dispensers mounted at six-foot level making them unreachable for anyone under 5’ 8” and a person of 6’ could not use the dispensers without getting their face blasted with water. Breakfast was included but grossly insufficient seating availability that required us to carry breakfast to our room (333). At this price point management should have addressed these fixable defects.

Spacious and comfortable room. Love the couch trundle, even though we didn't use it. Only note is the back side of hotel is against the rail tracks. We used the white noise machine that came with the room, but if you are a light sleeper, you may need ear plugs or ask for front of building.

This hotel was wonderful. Great location. The room was cute and larger than expected. Hotel staff were lovely. Rooftop has a great view. As close as you can get to the beach without being on the sand. Gym could use an update but it had everything I needed. Modern. Easy check in.

We had such a lovely, peaceful stay in this hotel! We loved that it was a block away from the beach and pier and we had a peekaboo view of the water. The room was clean, well appointed and the bed was very comfy as expected at a Marriott hotel. The front desk staff were great and I can't remember the name of the younger gentleman who helped place us in room that was quiet but he went above and beyond and we're so grateful. You can hear the train at times but it was in no way disturbing. We also liked the secure underground parking and updated, modern feel of the hotel. Breakfast time was cut off too early for us late risers but maybe next time we'll have the chance to try it. We will definitely be back and 100% recommend this hotel.

Would have given 5 star 🌟 only issue i had was i was given a room with no balcony and was supposed to have a view instead they put me in a room with train tracks and the train for the view and no balcony went up to try and resolve and they had no more rooms as they were all booked... my reservation was a room with view and balcony.

Staff was friendly, but overcharged me by $200 when I checked in. I immediately brought this to their attention and was told that the additional charges would be removed when I checked out. I was given free self-parking for the inconvenience, but couldn’t even take advantage of it since the only gate into the garage was broken (ended up paying $25 to park in the lot next to the property). The hotel has a big relaxing fire pit in front of the lobby, which I enjoyed until about 7:30 or 8pm when they turned it off, knowing that people were still enjoying it. That was rude. When I received my final bill after checkout there was still $100 overage. I returned to the hotel and the lady at the desk apologized that I was mistakenly charged a resort fee which they no longer charge. I can understand 1 mistake, but twice? It left me feeling like this hotel is dishonest in their billing practices.

Within walking distance of everything - beach, food, shopping, entertainment. Hotel has lots of great common spaces. We traveled with our 9 year old son and there were lots of families out and about. Can’t beat the location.

You can't beat the location, close to tons of shops, bars and restaurants. The property was very clean and luxurious and the staff was super professional and accommodating. The rooftop pool is beautiful and has a view of the ocean. The only thing I'd note is its right on the train tracks, so don't stay here if you're a light sleeper or want a more quiet neighborhood.

The SpringHill is always very nice, comfortable, and has a great location close to the beach. We have stayed several times and will continue, but were a little surprised by the $35 fee for services we did not use (beach item rentals-we bring our own, and a free drink-we don't drink). I think it would be fine if it was something you used, but a lot for something we don't use. Valet parking went up as well. I'm OK with the parking but the $35 added up and was not explained well when we checked in. Also, the free breakfast is nice, but the quality has gone down with the breakfast food choices since our last stay. Otherwise, a great place to stay in Oside.

Family trip to oceanside to kick off the summer with our 14 year old son and 17 year old daughter. Room had more than enough space for 2 teenagers, my wife, and myself. The live music was amazing and really set off the summer vibes. Breakfast was crowded but only because it was very good for a complimentary breakfast. The staff was very responsive.

I placed an order at the restaurant and it took thirty minutes to receive an incorrect order. I then waited another thirty minutes to receive the correct order. Like a fool, I went back to this restaurant for a drink and sure enough, the bartender forgot about us and apologized profusely and said the first round was on her, then we ordered the second round and she forgot about us again. Awful restaurant service and the staff at the beach rental section made it evident that we were not welcome as well. I could keep going on and on about the elevator and the restroom in the room and more but point is, I’m never going back there.

Bait and switch on the room. We booked last minute (one day before) due to a death in the family so beggers cant be choosers. Due to being mid summer and the same weekend as comic con rooms were difficult to come by. Our room was supposed to have a roll in shower and a balcony. When we arrived late in the evening we were given a room and being tired and stressed we just made do with the assigned rule. The next morning when I asked we were told someone needed the roll in shower so we were given a room with no roll in shower and no balcony. Understandable, but so did we. They had no other rooms except one with a balcony but no roll in shower and less beds. We ended up getting a room for our daughter at another hotel but it was about 20 minutes away, causing lots of driving. I asked for a discount since we didnt get the room we needed/booked and was told since I booked through a third party they couldnt offer a discount. Other issues: There was shampoo but no conditioner or body wash. There was a space for both bit no bottle. The elevators are slow and hot. Expect to be in with a lot of people. Once, the elevator was supposed to go from the lobby to 5 and went Lobby, 3, 2, Lobby, 5. An employee got on when we were at the Lobby so I explained and he said it is not uncommon. The food is not very good and super limited variety however it is very popular and busy. There are several other small things. Those wouldn't be anything in a normal visit. We will not be back
