The breakfast was delicious with lots of choices, water doesn’t stay hot very long. The lighting in the room is horrible. The beds were wonderful. The hot tub is really small and so is the pool. Too close to 65 hwy, was hoping it was more off the highway.

Really great ADA compliant rooms! Fantastic shower that accommodates shower chairs, etc. Clean property; very friendly and helpful staff. Gummy worms were the absolute best! Could use a little more handicap parking; but overall was awesome for the price.

There was only one working elevator during our stay. The hotel seemed to be at capacity so there were long waits going up to the 4th floor. The elevator that was in service slammed down between the 3rd & 4th floors then continued going up to the 4th while we were on it. My husband has had back issues ever since and has been seeking medical treatment. I reached out to the property and have heard nothing back from them. All they did was file an incident report. There has been no resolution or follow up from them or their affiliates.

As a professional cleaner this property was exceptionally clean. Only complaints are that the pool/hottub have so much chlorinator we couldn’t use it for more than 10 minutes because our eyes were burning. Both the pool and hottub are very small and the hottub is not hot at all. Other complaints, breakfast ends at 10am which seems very early on weekends. We had to wait over 20 minutes for food to be added to the buffet because everything was gone when we got downstairs at 930am. The staff is not super interactive or welcoming. The Tall Tales restaurant/bar next door closed at 11pm which was also a bit of a disappointment for a weekend. We would definitely stay here again because of cleanliness, it’s pretty quiet and the beds and pillows were so comfy.

Charges an extra resort fee when you check in which was nearly $30 for a resort that is approx 1/2 hour away. Pool is small and all of the pictures of the outdoor areas are fake. It was a mess outside and the putting green is in pieces with tables upside down from wind and lack of care. Restaurant was closed and we were simply told it would reopen Thursday… it was Tuesday. Furthermore hotel is under construction. Room was spacious but beds are very small.

Stay was fine except for the barking dogs and had to contact the front desk twice to get the problem resolved. Will not be staying in a pet friendly hotel again. Your add shows a restaurant, but was not open except Fri, Sat and Sun. Not very convenient.

When I made it to my room I noticed a layer of dust everywhere! It was very think on the counters and tv. The quilts on the beds had large stains and there was dirt in the beds. There is no sound barrier between floors and hotel staff booked an entire baseball team of college aged boys above me making noise and jumping around for hours when I was trying ti sleep. Staff refused to speak to the coach. When I tried to get a new quilt the front desk gal rolled up the dirty one I gave her and gave it back to me like it was a fresh one…same fricking stains!! Gross!! Front lobby is sooo dusty I wrote clean me on the surfaces. The mattresses are worse than sleeping on air mattresses on the ground. For $219 a night you would think you would get a higher grade mattress for a good night sleep. Nope. Spring loaded with terrible give which didn’t allow for a comfortable evening of sleep at all. I do not recommend staying here! It’s overpriced.

Not nearly as nice as expected for the price point and a 'big cedar" property. We didn't utilize the pool or adjoining restaurant, so can't speak to those amenities. Cons- Smelled a bit like urine and feet tbh. The room was super damp feeling, even our toddlers were asking why the blankets felt wet. Cob web on the lamp, dirt in the corners to name a few additional misses. Pros- The included breakfast is a good touch with lots of options to suit anyone. They have security rounding all night which is appreciated.

This hotel must be super old cuz the design of rooms, hallways, eating area are very small. The bathrooms in our room was super small and awkward shaped. I have vision issues and was very very hard for me to navigate in hotel room as lighting was very scares and dim and few lamps. I have night blindness, don’t stay here if you have vision problems.

Overall this is an excellant hotel. My only complaint is the room was tiny. We had the double queen for my wife and I and our child. There is a big space outside the bathroom that is wasted. Would definately stay here agan though. Great location, close to everything

We loved Anglers for a lot of reasons. Great amenities and close to EVERYTHING! I do have a couple complaints though. The technology really lagged when checking us in along with hotel/personal WiFi. There was a big group ahead of us and by the time we got to the desk and after the system crashed and had to be rebooted it had been over an hour. I think we would stay here again, especially if golfing at Big Cedar again, but my biggest complaint was not being able to get the room cooled down enough. My husband also agreed with me that the room was VERY humid. The sheets and everything else had a strange damp feeling about it. Our room was next door to Tall Tales (which is a quick and good spot to eat/great bar-kinda pricey) but the music from their outdoor patio speakers led to our room. So it was a bit noisy at night. Cleaning staff very nice and do an excellent job of keeping the property clean.

I stayed here on business this past April and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating! I had an early flight to catch one morning and left around 4:30am and the staff member at the desk opened the breakfast area for me so I could grab a few things on my way out. It was much appreciated. :)

Our check-in experience was very poor. It took about 30 minutes to check into our rooms. They did not have the Expedia rate in their system, so I had to show them my receipt to change the rate which took way too long. Plus the lobby was very cold which made the long wait even more uncomfortable.

Check in was easy and hotel was clean. We got back from a concert around midnight and noticed our AC was not working. A call to the front desk and they had us in a new room in just a few minutes. Services was great and breakfast was good. Was also nice to have access to Big Cedar amenities with our wristband.

Nice staff and property was clean. Only downside was breakfast was almost out of food every morning and it was loud neighbors next door but we kept getting calls asking if we were the ones being loud and if we had our dogs barking from staff. The issue was we had no dogs or small children so it was kind of annoying but hotel otherwise was great.

Staff; breakfast; cleanliness - Excellent Area: Disappointing - industrial/business Marketing did not ‘clearly’ define what the area around the hotel was like. The pictures showed a combination of Bass Pro properties with surroundings more like Big Cedar, etc. The staff and inside helped in offsetting but we would have probably stayed @ Big Cedar is we knew in advance.

If you’re looking for a slim down version of Big Cedar Lodge, this is a lovely place to stay with many of the same perks that you can share by visiting. It’s only minutes down the road Staff is quite lovely to deal with the ambience. Reminds you as if you were at the lodge. The rooms are spacious clean. The beds are very comfortable.

The hotel was wonderful. We had our dog with us and the area for ger was ok, it could have been better. The restaurant at the next to the lodge had was expensive which wouldn't be a issue but the food was bad. Out of 5 of us who had dinner, bit one of us liked our food and didn't finish it. Other than the food the lidge was great the breakfast at the lodge was the normal and ok, but they did need more tables. Overall though we had a really good two day's there.

Everything about this hotel is exceptional. The uniqueness adds to the charm. Staff was excellent. Rooms are standard sized and comfortable with high quality furnishings. Breakfast provides some local varieties like thick smoked bacon, excellent biscuits and gravy and more. Would like a waffle option. Would love to stay there again.
