Very central to all, and room was beautifully appointed, and quite spacious The air conditioning worked well, bed was just right to our liking, not too soft, not too hard. You have amenities in the bathroom, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, soap that all smell heavenly “verbena”, as well as you are provided robes, a coffee station and bottled water. The hotel had bikes (4) and one motorized scooter for guests, did not use since we had a car. The “parking” is arranged with a 3rd party, and is around the block. However we did not use. Fortunately we were able to leave our car right in front of the front door (only one spot for loading and unloading) since we had a 5:00am departure. We would definitely return to this hotel, with one caveat, a room in the back that would be quieter.

Great location, located downtown. Lots of restaurants and shopping near by. The cafe in the hotel is delicious and great prices. The rooms are adorable and great a/c! Free water in the rooms. The shower is amazing! Customer service was excellent. You can rent bicycles. The fresh bread is delicious. I highly recommend.

El hotel es muy céntrico, la atención es bastante buen del personal, te dan un mezcal de bienvenida sin embargo si llegas de las 22:00 en adelante ya no hay servicio de bar para que lo puedas pedir. EL estacionamiento esta a la vuelta con un externo con el que tienen convenio, es a veces algo tardado pero el auto queda bajo techo y seguro. La habitación (3) es muy silenciosa, descansas bien, pero tengan MUCHO cuidado en la escalera, es muy baja al subir y puedes darte un golpe en la cabeza, seria bueno tratar de solucionar este tema o al menos hacerlo notar claramente para agacharse al subir.

We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there. Their menu is excellent and the food is delicious. Their mole is superb. Eating at the courtyard next to the water fountain was relaxing, comfortable and amazing. Shops, banks, farmacies, convenient store, cafes, the town square, churches, etc, are all within walking distance. This hotel is in an excellent location. We did not drive however this hotel does provide guest parking. The staff is above excellent! Ricardo and Juan Carlos are true professionals who immediately made us feel like home. Both explained in detail the process of making their mole and other menu items. They provided direction as to where to go and how to get to the places we wanted to visit and they did it always with a big smile. My family and I visited for the first time and plan on going back again. The entire staff was excellent and friendly. The hotel itself is something out of a beautiful dream.

Ok let me start by saying that the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. A big thank you to Ricardo who kept sharing with us great meal spots around town, tips, etc... the rooms were clean and comfortable, AC worked just fine and the hotel is literally inside 3-4 blocks from the Zócalo downtown park area. Plenty of great restaurants to visit inside waking distance. Make a note that the hotel closes its main doors facing the street at 9pm which made us feel secure and they reopen in the morning. Noise was never an issue at this hotel, and we slept very comfortably. I was traveling with my wife and two teen girls, and never felt uneasy or unsafe at the hotel or walking around this beautiful city.

Overall it was a good stay. I found the rooms to clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable but I wish there were more covers. The bathroom was very nice and updated. The food at the restaurant was superb. If you don’t speak Spanish then make sure you have a smart phone because almost nobody speaks a second language. I don’t expect them to speak English as I’m a guest in their country so this doesn’t factor into my evaluation. The only reason I can’t give this a 5 start is the noise. There’s a beautiful courtyard which is also the restaurant. Most of the rooms of the lower level face the courtyard and the staff makes no or minimal effort to suppress loud conversations at the crack of dawn. Forget about sleeping in if this is something that you like to do.

Staff were friendly. Our room was on the main floor right off the bar and so the noise was definitely a problem. It felt like we were sitting out there with the guests. Our AC unit was able to block out most of the noise thankfully. Our room was clean but musty smelling.

The hotel grounds are beautiful, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and kind. The hotel is located in a great walkable area and when we went out for the day, our room was meticulously cleaned and straightened up. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again when I come back to Oaxaca.

Excellent hotel in the heart of busy Oaxaca. A great location to explore the El Centro on foot, close to all the top dining. Staff is friendly and helpful. Some of the rooms, those which open onto the courtyard are not as quiet as they should be and the plumbing is iffy.

I can’t emphasize enough what a gem this boutique hotel is! We stayed in room #2 which was spacious, private and quiet. The food at the restaurant was 5 stars! Drinks superb! Loved everything about this spot.

We love this hotel! This is our second time staying here and both times they have exceeded our expectations. From the friendly staff to the amazing drinks Gabriel made for us (the tamarindo and maracuya mezcalinas are 10/10). The room was exactly what we needed and the outdoor area was perfect at night. Overall we’ve had amazing experiences and would continue to stay here every time we visit Oaxaca.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel everything was on point. Cleaning everyday on time and pristine. Services at the front always there and attentive, they got us even private taxis to visit near by áreas. The bar is just wonderful, cozy and the staff is so nice and warm. The property is a jewel couldn't be happier to stay here and will definitely come back !!!

This hotel is in a great location near downtown at walking distance for a lot of great spots. The staff was phenomenal and always made us feel at home. We made friends with a few of them and we were sad when we had to leave. Our room was quaint and the AC unit worked perfectly. The beds are a little on the harder side but other than that we enjoyed our stay. We’ll be back again to this hotel in the near future.

I didn't eat breakfast, but I had dinner and the food was incredible! Super delicious with the traditional Mexican flavors that I was expecting and longing for! The hotel is beautiful, cozy and small enough to provide a feeling of being in your family's home visiting. The staff is extremely friendly, kind and always attentive! I really enjoyed this hotel and plan and going back as soon as I can. Thank you to all the wonderful attention that my daughter and I received from the staff at Casa Sierra Azul!
