Very disappointing experience – serious concerns about lost property handling I am extremely disappointed with my experience at OZO Hotels Arena Amsterdam. After checking out, we realised that we had accidentally left our hair straightener in the bathroom of the room. We are completely certain that the item was left there, as it was not taken with us. We contacted the hotel immediately and also spoke with reception in person. We were told that housekeeping would investigate and that we would receive an update. Unfortunately, after several follow-ups, the only response we received was that housekeeping “could not find” the item. Considering that we clearly explained where the item was left, this response was very unsatisfactory and raises serious concerns about how lost property is handled at this hotel. We expected a much more professional approach, including a proper investigation and clear communication. Instead, we felt that our concern was dismissed without genuine effort to resolve the issue. The staff also showed a lack of urgency and empathy when dealing with our situation. For a hotel that welcomes international guests, the level of customer service was disappointing. In addition, the restaurant being closed between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM was inconvenient and not clearly communicated, leaving guests with limited options during those hours. Overall, our experience was negatively affected not only by the missing item, but mainly by the way the situation was handled

Basic but fairly clean. Nice staff both the front desk and in the restaurant. Breakfast was good and the one dinner we had was very good. Comfortable beds and good location if you are going to a concert at the big arena.

The room was good, the staff was very kind and accomodating. We had some pretty severe issues with our keycards where 1 of 2 constantly wouldn't work, despite multiple visits to the front desk to fix it. Eventually they issued us 2 entirely new ones which seemed to fix the issue. We encountered an issue with the shower on day 3 of our stay, where it would fill the bathroom with water due to the drain not draining water fast enough. We talked to the front desk who told us we could either get a new room or they would fix it during the day tomorrow. As it was very late(after 23) we decided that we were fine waiting. When we returned the day after we found that the shower still wasn't fixed, and when we asked the front desk they said no note of the previous conversation was made. This felt pretty rough, as this would be our last night and swapping room now would make no sense. Beyond the issues with the keycards and the shower, which are both unfortunate, we would highly recommend this hotel.
