Excellent, out of expectation. The room is basically equipped, enough space for moving around. With desk and chairs, window with street view. Train station is 3mins walk and bus stop is less than 1min walk. Breakfast is so good many choices. Charge £3 for luggage storage (per piece) .

The hotel was in a good location for access to everywhere . The room was a good size and very clean. Staff accommodated our request to switch from a double to two single beds. Plenty of breakfast options at a reasonable price and in the evening the bar was a nice spot to relax with a drink after a busy day.. The luggage storage was perfect for us on our last day but a £3 charge per item seems a little unnecessary. The kettle in the room was a bit temperamental and there was no decaf tea option. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Only one person at check-in and she was covering the bar and checking in people. Made this process very slow. Room was alright however, it was evident it had not been cleaned thoroughly as one of the coffee cups had been left used. The beds were very lightweight and the double was made up of two single beds that kept coming apart in the middle of the night. There was a switch to turn on all lights in the room right where you lay your head on the pillow so sleep was interrupted a lot for that as well. There were not blackout curtains only this set of shades that still let a lot of light in. The bar staff was friendly. I think it is offensive that the hotel charges to store bags (£3 per item). The breakfast was good and the pizza was very nice. Bathroom was prefabricated and had cheap fittings.

Overall we had a good stay here, however, don’t rely on the parking. It’s a small multi-story and it was full the day we went. There is an NCP car park the next road down which is larger and still walkable to the hotel.

WiFi was dodgy, especially in lobby. Very convenient location. Whoever thought to put the main light switch in the center of the bed at pillow level is an idiot and probably same idiot who decided not to fit power sockets on either side of bed where most people charge their mobiles.

I stayed in room 310 and it was clean and smelled fresh. The room was bright and even though it was overlooked by a building it seemed like an office so was fine for a weekend. The bathroom had enough room but it did feel a bit like an airline bathroom as it was like one big plastic cocoon but I was fine with that because it was clean. The car park was full when i arrived at 3pm Saturday, im guessing it was more busy because of the good weather. But by the time i did a circuit around the one way, loads of people were leaving and we got a space with no problem. To register your car, you tap in your reg when you get to hotel and the discounted rate for 24 hours was £20.40 The staff were helpful and friendly. I had breakfast from the buffet, toast poached egg, sausage and beans and it was good quality Its a great hotel if you need a convenient location.

No parking or even waiting on street is the major disadvantage. You are less than 100 yards from Brighton station and buses stop right outside. Good base to do discover the City. Rooms are clean modern and well maintained. Didn't try food but there is no need as there are loads of food options within walking distance

We stayed for 1 night at the hotel so we could use my partners experience vouchers I bought him for his birthday. The hotel is close to the train station and easy to drive to. We decided to drive because of train strikes and used the North Rd carpark nearby to park. They have a 50% discount available for guests staying at the Ibis. Parking cost us £15 for 24 hours. Breakfast was lovely and it also offers food in the evening but we opted to eat out. The hotel is within walking distance to the seafront.

Very close to train station, which is why I chose to stay here. But there is a bus stop right outside so if you are on the street side, it is quite loud and starts early! When I checked in and went to use the toilet, there was diarrhea on the toilet seat! When I went to use the shower, there was NO water pressure. Have never seen water pressure so poor anywhere, quite frankly. Bed not very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Then I checked out and was charged £7.95 for who knows what since I prepaid for the entire room. Stayed in room 515.

Room was dusty next to tea tray when we arrived. Room wasn’t cleaned properly, table was sticky. Everytime the toilet in any other room was flushed we heard running water for at least 20 mins. Room was dark and dingy. Sheets weren’t changed.

No bedside plugs, besides the bed, the room was quite dirty with dust all over the place, sticky leftovers on the bedside tables and hair in the shower. The sink didn’t look cleaned properly as the overflow was covered in grime and lime. Housekeeping should be advices to be more into detail and less into fast cleaning. Besides that, it was a very nice stay with easy access to the train station as well as the complete town

Despite the good location and easy parking, the room condition was not up to standard. There were urine stains around the toilet, and dust was found on the floor and table. There was water left in the electrical kettle. Quality of toilet paper was bad. TV remote control was very dirty.

The location is perfect, very close to the central station. Friendly staff. Great breakfast with many options. Spacious room. The only thing I can comment about is the bathroom which was small, old and felt dirty. No toilet brush and I found hairs on the floor and doors to the shower. The toilet made constant noises even after being flushed and the water in the shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold, no inbetween. The door to the toilet didn’t have any door handle, just a knob, so you needed to push it shut to not hear the running toilet all the time, which was not so convinient when you needed to use it duing the night since it made quite a loud noise closing. Apart for the bathroom however I’m very happy with my stay and the rest of the room and hotel felt clean and tidy.

Nice enough rooms, beds are really small, like they are not twin but some kind of custom job. Room was missing a blind, so no way to fully block light etc. The bathroom... kind of like it was out of Moon Base Alpha lol.a circular raised area which I stubbed my foot twice and almost tumbled down first night. Food... ok. Pizza hardly any cheese. Tomato soup was some kind of homemade attempt, which was not bad but was not what was expected lol. Staff were attentive, and helped when needed. Very polite.

Beds comfy, air con working, clean room, tea making facilities, friendly staff, luggage left at no cost outside of check in time, breakfast had a nice selection of cold and hot foods and good coffee, able to fill up water bottles for out and about. The only downside was the shower water pressure is very low (8th floor). Other than that it was a very pleasant stay overall. Many thanks

I was in a. Room 306 and I got 3 hours sleep at best - first my room was near the entrance door so I had to listen to everyone returning and separating to go to there rooms… then my room had a down pipe to a number of rooms so any time someone used the toilet. Shower and sink I heard it like the pipe was next to my head! The windows had not sound proofing nor did the room. This was the worst nights sleep I had and I stay in a lot of hotels.

Room was basic but functional. We were up on the 7th floor overlooking the main road and noise wasn’t really an issue. The pod bathroom was a little strange but perfectly functional. Similar to other reviews thoughts the bed was firm, but not too bad. Close to the station and the RCP car park reduced cost was really useful.

Idiosyncratic bathroom pods work reasonably well but are not especially "roomy". The toilet flush in our room did need repeated pressing to ensure that it not continally dribble water. The room was rather cold and required running the airconditioning heater on it maimum setting to heat up the room. The views over office blocks from our room on level 4 were unappealng. The bed was on the hard side and we coud only find one spare pillow in our room. There were no USB carge points in the room.

We got a room with a lot of noise from the toilet/bathroom, but as soon as we "complained" about this we were moved to another room and the staff gave us free breakfast.

My weekend was going amazingly well prior to my arrival at the Ibis Brighton City Centre. I was in Brighton for a wedding, I was in good spirits and feeling jovial, until I entered your premises. I wasn't greeted, I was welcomed, I was actually berated for being friendly and happy. First impressions are so important when working in hospitality and front of house staff should always have the emotional maturity to make your guests feel welcome. I didn't deserve the reception I received, I believe Ibis hotel guests deserve better. To add insult to injury shortly after checking in I returned to reception to find Chris complaining about their experiences with customers to a colleague, in ear-shot of other guests. I find these toxic traits very harmful in all areas of life, as an employer I feel sad that this is the best you can offer visitors to Brighton and the Ibis hotel chain. A hotel stay should be more than just a bed to sleep in. Your team should be making guests feel comfortable, guests should be encouraged to relax and enjoy all of your facilities. I couldn't even join you for breakfast on the Sunday morning after being humiliated during check-in. The spitefulness of your employee ultimately cost you money - 3 x breakfast, 3 x coffee, 3 x orange juice, 3 x water, snacks and candies etc. It's not always possible to enjoy your job but it is possible to be kind, I wish you staff had been kinder to me.

Firstly our room was cold when we arrived when we turned on the heater it made a terrible noise and it was far too loud to keep on. When we went to reception they said they were having problems with their heating units ! But would look at it and if it couldn’t be fixed they would give us a heater. This never happened. Secondly, On Saturday evening we went down to have dinner and were told by the young girl at reception that she was on her own and that meant that the food would be delayed by about 30mins but that we could take a look at the menu anyway. We picked food and went back up to order and she then said it would be an hour before we could get food as she was still on her own and couldn’t go to the kitchen ! So at that point we left and went to a restaurant down the street from the hotel and were served dinner straight away. Lastly, On Sunday morning we had breakfast there and it was absolutely horrible, Everything was cold, the eggs were a horrible taste and the bacon was so salty we couldn’t eat it. The descriptions for the sausages were all mixed up and therefore it was pot luck as to what you ended up with, pork, chicken or vegetarian ! When I asked if there was more mushrooms coming out, I was told bluntly that they were coming now ! It was all so bad that we both ended up having toast ! There was no one at reception on our way out to complain about it or I would have asked for a refund. It wasn’t worth £5 never mind £12 each All in all not a great experience !!!

Really reasonable price for a Sun to Mon stay. Fab location - close to the station and North Laines, friendly staff, nice bar/restaurant area, we can drop our bags to go shopping on check in/out day, rooms are clean and comfortable. We love this hotel!

Terrible. I would never stay here again. Having completed the London to Brighton 100k I knew despite the price I would only have a few hours before checking out. all I wanted was a shower and a few hours sleep - this hotel was a 100km disappointment! I had informed the hotel of my late checkin but upon arrival at 8.30am (where checkout was midday) the receptionist said the booking was closed due to a no show. She opened it eventually and gave me a key to a room which when I opened the door was clearly already occupied judging by the items scattered around. This is a serious breach of security and safety if someone can just walk into your room. My friend had the same issue and walked into a room where she found two people in the bed! The receptionist wasted an hour of the time I would have had in the room in sorting out these issues. She was not at all sympathetic or in any rush. The facilities are basic, the staff don't care and I would have serious safety concerns staying here again. I would have contacted Ibis customer care directly but good luck trying to find a number of email address for them!

Yes, room was clean and tidy. What really stood out was the friendliness of the staff, especially at reception, and they were so helpful, pointing out things to see. Even the cleaner smiled and said hello as we got out of the lift.🙂

Live the location, easy walk to and from station and seafront. It’s Brighton so outside is busy and vibrant at night, calm and quiet in the early morning. Inside the room it’s quiet even when other areas of the hotel are filled with chat.

Very convenient location near Brighton railway station. Well insulated from street noise so a good nights sleep. Reception staff very helpful with information and answering questions. The room was spacious and clean. The room itself needs updating though. No electrical sockets near the bed or USB sockets to charge a mobile phone. As a city centre site on a lower floor the window view is of the street. I added a breakfast option which was good.

I could not fault the service that was provided by the hotel. Unfortunately, though, I found the area around Brighton Station to be an intimidating environment, frequented by drug users and drop-outs. I would, however, use the hotel again if ever I have reason to visit Brighton in the future.

No parking or even waiting on street is the major disadvantage. You are less than 100 yards from Brighton station and buses stop right outside. Good base to do discover the City. Rooms are clean modern and well maintained. Didn't try food but there is no need as there are loads of food options within walking distance

Breakfast was disgusting on both mornings of my stay- egg was like rubber, mushrooms tasted bad, hash browns very soggy, bacon hard as rock, apples very bruised- Worst breakfast ever. Great staff though, let down by the very poor breakfast.

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice big room which was surprisingly quiet. Discounted parking available a couple of mins away and proximity to the station make this a great option for business travel. Also the breakfast is good.

Lovely place next to the station and bus stop right at front. A few minutes walk to the beach and surrounded by quirky and colourful shops and restaurants. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choices. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I recommend it.

Poor meal experience .Having ordered a curry , I did not receive the rice or naan bread .I had to ask at the front reception for the missing items . On the plus side the breakfast was nice . Bedroom at the front was noisy , claims to be noise proofed .

The hotel was OK. The room was fine but the shower barely worked , it was a real let down , they said they would do something about the water pressure but did not. Had to wait quite a while for food to be topped up for breakfast on Saturday morning.

We chose the Brighton Ibis because of its proximity to the train station, and it was ideal for that reason. The rooms are extremely modern in design (probably easy to clean, and it did feel scrupulously clean - but decor not to everyone's taste.) My only major irritation with this hotel is that they have a cafe/dining room on the first floor, but it was unavailable for evening dining all three nights we were there. They had a tour group in, so they roped it off and gave them priority. (We were told we could possibly join the buffet, but the cost was more than we wanted to pay for a light dinner.) This was a problem for us, because there were almost no restaurants open in the immediate area - just pubs with no food. And I was travelling with a senior, who didn't want to walk 20 minutes in the dark in an unfamiliar city to find dinner after a long travel day. So be warned that you'll be in a bit of a food desert - take a taxi to the Lanes or something for dinner.

Great locating near the station, clean room with comfortable bed and staff welcoming. Slight le5 down was the buffet breakfast was badly stocked (especially the hot selection) seemed like bacon was rashioned! Didn't mane to get any plus cutlery ran out. World stay again but maybe id skip breakfast.

Air Conditioning & Water———— I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights for 3 people. The air conditioning in one of the rooms was very noisy and not acceptable. Reception gave us a fan but unable to fix the air-con, not acceptable due to the heatwave. Air-con on in the 2nd room broke down the next day. Once again we were given a fan and nothing else. On the morning of the 2nd night there was no water in taps or shower. Reception apologised as maintenance was being done which they did not know about. The staff were not very well informed and unhelpful. It would be very difficult to recommend this Ibis hotel as a place to stay.
