Rixos Bab Al Bahr

This time it exceeded our expectations in service, activities & quality of food. We are regular customers at Rixos Bab Al-Bahr. It rarely disappoints us. This time was one of the best if not the best. Extra activities - all day long - that engages the family and kids at the pool, kids area, at the beach, inflatable bouncy castles. Staff were very helpful and service oriented, and service continues till very late at night with same passion and dedication. On top of our mind few names that were really attentive, Sinawla, Subash & Ismaiel. Yet we have couple of concerns, we aways request adding the stay points to our ALL account but every time we get disappointed. The hotel has shared ownership and we don’t get the stay ponts 😆. Another issue is the flexibility at check-in and out and the free upgrades. Late check out & early check ins are common requests, but hotel is very inflexible with this. Thanks to Redha at front desk for trying to help. Anyways, thanks for Rixos team, keep the high quality service all year long.

Activities for kids

Très grand hôtel, beaucoup d'espaces mais aussi beaucoup de monde, surtout des familles avec enfants. Le logement en appartement était très agréable et spacieux. On a apprécié le service en chambre, au buffet et dans les restaurants. Spa et massages parfaits. Et une dédicace spéciale pour les équipes de la salle de sport qui ont accompagnés toute la famille (boxe, yoga, RPM, TRX...) , merci !

Excellent hotel. I have stayed here twice now and the staff are exceptional, the hotel is gorgeous, food is unbelievable and activities are just great. Cannot wait for our next stay

Excellent location and layout of resort, good entertainment and very attentive service with to seat and lounger drink service in every bar/location even on the beach. Food was to die for particularly the daily indian and seafood options but every taste catered for. Only complaint was the booking system for the Al-la-carte restaurants the app system just doesn’t work but I reckon they will fix that in the next few months. They seemed to listen and acknowledge the problem.

Evening entertainment was very high quality. All staff were so friendly and helpful. The people made it a pleasure to stay here

We enjoyed our stay. Pluses: entertainment, selection of foods and drinks, pool areas, friendly and helpful staff. Areas for improvement: room needed updating, shower pressure is low, balcony is very small, main restaurant is always crowded and noisy. Would we stay there again? YES

Staff were exceptional, food was great, especially the Indian and Italian food options. It's not as well manicured and grand as say the sharm el sheikh Rixos, but actually because most of the facilities are very close together, it's just a few minute walk to access anything. Also, if you have teenage kids, then they can do multiple things whilst you have a central base at one of the pools. One annoying thing is no one respect the pool policy of not reserving beds with your belongings, this makes it essential to get up early and leave belongings on sun beds. I hate that, prefer a first come first serve basis. Some people are literally putting down their belongings at 8am and not returning back for 3 hours, making it very unfair on all. They should really have a look into this. The family suite was great, two fantastic size rooms backed onto each other. I would say the a la carte restaurants are not as good as Sharm Rixos or others. They all feel similar in style, and the seafood restaurant was a Mish mash of random dishes. The infinity pool area is great for adults, the bar their is lovely. Some of the bars they put little effort into the drinks others they make the drinks really well. Overall though, I would recommend, but Sharm Rixos is probably a better option.

Stay away from this hotel. Because it is not a hotel it is a refugee camp. They are accepting nearly double hosts above their capasity. Everywhere was crowded. There was lines in restaurants and bars mostly. Biggest issues were about swimming. Most of public pools are possibly visiting by less amount of people. It was full with human. Sea was terrible too. Especially afternoon its coluor is turning brown. We checked out one day earlier.

Over booked .. not prepared for this number of visitors .. lines for each meals in the heat for over 30 to 45 minutes!!! Then to be offered only a table outside in the heat at 40 degrees!! Pools are durty and pool floors filled with sand .. over rated .. never again

This hotel was fabulous. The variety of food was great, however I don't eat breakfast. There was a sink leaking across the floor in my 1st room. The second room I had a leaking sink from the faucet, the bathroom was not very clean especially the shower, and 4 lock doors that would not lock. The locks were repaired but the sink continue to leak. However, the beds were comfortable, the staff was very nice and helpful. The facility had lots of fun things to do and enjoy. All in all Rixos Bab A Barh is a beautiful place to spend your vacation or holiday. T

Service and people were good. Employees are so nice and helpful. The towels were clean but there was a smell on the towels. The shower head was falling down during the shower.

Chanbre qui ne vaut clairement pas son prix. Buffet répétitif. Piscine pas très propre.

Very elegant beautiful resort. Staff are very professional and friendly. Very clean environment. Food is also great. Overall a great experience.

When i checked in to the hotel the room I was first given had mold on the air conditioning vents and the furniture was falling apart. Room was nice and clean, but very noisy due to evening entertainment till 11pm. Staff at the restaurants were wonderful and attentive. Some Reception staff were a little forgetful and had poor communication with restaurants regarding food allergies.

it was in general so good but there are some rooms are really very old and need to be refurbished , bit also there are some rooms which are recently refurbished and they are really nice and the stuff are very helpful and professional specially the main open buffets and the chef

This Rixos Bab Al Bahr is not a 5 star luxury hotel. Too many people everywhere, too loud and not comfortable, too expensive for USD 500 paid per night. A clear misrepresentation. We know Rixos in Abu Dhabi which is really a great resort and service for 5 star.

Poor check in experience. Had to collect my bags myself. Never got dinner reservation. Broken bath door handle. Key card broken. Always was seated at the back for dinner. No accountability

The staff especially Burka in the food hall, Emad from the Spar and Polino at the front desk were very accommodating, friendly and always available to help with anything. Great asset to the business.

My stay was very good, the place is delightful, and most of the staff are very friendly and polite. I say most because the guy who checked me in (unfortunately, I don't remember his name) was rude and inattentive. I informed him that I had two separate reservations for two consecutive days and wanted to stay in the same room without needing to check in again. However, due to his lack of care on the second day, my room was blocked, and I had to go to reception to resolve this. Thankfully, I was perfectly assisted by another staff member (whose name I also don't remember) who quickly and very politely resolved my issue.   Another issue I find serious about the hotel is that despite using the term "ultra all-inclusive," the à la carte restaurants can only be used from the second day onwards, and I only found this out at the hotel reception. I checked the entire website and found no mention of this information.   There are also times when it's impossible to get any kind of complimentary free food because all the restaurants are closed, and there is no area where you can get any kind of snack.   The operating hours of the self-service restaurant do not match those stated on the website/check-in because half an hour before closing, there was hardly any food or utensils left for us to serve ourselves.   Overall, I enjoyed my stay and will definitely return to the hotel, but I believe that information regarding the use of the restaurants should be immediately included on the website.

Especially the team at the Isla bar - so friendly as are the breakfast team which takes some managing. The hotel is comfortable and well kept. Where the operation falls down - the food throughout is poor, uninspired and not the quality expected of a 4 star hotel. The exception is the breakfast omelette chefs - they're very good! Although the team are great, they lack training and taking ownership. If the hotel can get to grips with this, it would become a great hotel.

Avoid! We were a group of 6 couples that had booked separately for birthday celebrations, only 2 couples had an easy experience upon arrival. We booked a premium king room with sea view, received a small twin room with view of a car park A couple booked pay on arrival room but as they didn’t arrive at 3pm their room was given away AND the hotel couldn’t source them another room and also DIDNT care, they didn’t even try and contact them to see if they were arriving - this is unacceptable. Another couple booked a room that had been made up for a family and was not clean on check in Another couple were told they had no reservation despite having email confirmation from the hotel and the obligatory ‘we are looking forward to you staying’ style email they received the day before You can’t use A la carte restaurants until your second night - this was not made clear All in all, really poor service and care from the management team who didn’t care because they knew that the hotel would sell out regardless Imagine flying in with a young family and having any of the issues we did

We were intrigued by the "All Inclusive" offering, and our expectations were certainly met. Upon arrival, the sheer size of the place was hard to miss – it's massive! Although there was a minor hiccup during check-in, where our reservation wasn't initially in the system, the check-in staff efficiently resolved the issue. However, it did cause a bit of a rush for us because check-in starts at 3 pm, we were delayed by 15 mins or so and then the lunch buffet ends at 3:30 pm. Even without the delay lunch ending just 30 minutes after check is something I found a bit disappointing. After enjoying lunch, we proceeded to our room and decided to explore the premises. Our visit to the Isla bar was a warm and enthusiastic experience, with Rafael taking excellent care of us. We also made a reservation for dinner at Fish Bone, and we were impressed by the diverse menu options. The staff at Fish Bone were not only attentive but also very friendly, with special mentions for Abassi and Krishna. Following dinner, we extended our evening on the outside terrace, savoring our wine and enjoying live music. The breakfast and lunch buffet consistently maintained a high standard, and the staff continued to be exceptionally attentive, with Seemab providing excellent service. Finally, check out was super smooth, with a team member with a tablet there was no need even to go to the counter and we were checked out in seconds!

This is our second stay at this hotel. Perfect for a family beach holiday. The staff are excellent. The food in the buffet is of a very high standard - recommend going a little later (8pm) to avoid the rush and sitting outside. Restaurants can be a little difficult to book. Recommend calling when you arrive and making a couple of bookings in advance otherwise they book up very quickly.

Property is beautiful and staff is amazing. We had to travel an hour in half or 2 to do things.

I recently stayed at this property with my family and overall had a pleasant experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the property was very clean. They also had great entertainment options for both kids and adults, which is a nice touch. However, I was a very disappointed with the food and drinks. While there was plenty of variety, we all found the taste of everything was very bland and the brands of drinks were of cheap quality. It would be great if they could improve the quality of their food and drinks to match the high standard of their staff and property. Overall, it was a good stay but the food and drinks could definitely use some improvement.
