This was our third stay at Rondel Village and we still consider it to be one of the best spots on Seven Mile Beach. The location is excellent and the grounds are well kept. Our housekeeper made beautiful flower arrangements with bath towels, adding a touch of class. All of the staff members were professional. However, some maintenance issues were annoying. For example, whoever painted our bathroom did not bother to stay within the lines. The door trim was rotted at the bottom. The shower door was difficult to open. One needed two hands to open the room to our door. We enjoyed meals at the restaurant but the quality was inconsistent. The servers were excellent though. Jamaica has no shortage of nice people.

Rondel was a great choice for us. It’s not glitzy, but had everything we needed. It’s close to a grocery store and there are tons of restaurants nearby while walking 7 mile beach. The on site restaurant was really good. Employees who stood out were the bartender, DelRoy, lifeguard Duran and housekeepers Melissa and Donna. All the staff members were friendly and helpful. Great beach!

The room was very clean, the staff was pleasant and accommodating, there are a few food items that the bar/restaurant was out of because of the hurricane but that isn’t a fault of the staff, just Mother Nature’s effects. The bartenders were fun and made great drinks. We thought we would spend time in the pools but the ocean in front of Rondel is so perfect, we never had a reason to use the pools. To make it even more perfect, to get to the beach you walk through a path filled with gorgeous flowers and plant life. The water in the hot tubs was pretty low but at night it was really nice to warm up in them. The location is perfect if you don’t mind walking the beach a little. Reggae right next door everyday from 2-7. Minimal people walking past because you’re far enough down the beach to be away from the floods of tourists. Close to a delicious cafe and smoothies at Woodstock. Close to live music at Roots Bamboo and Woodstock most nights. And restaurants all over in either direction. Please try the banana bread and juices from the juice lady that stops by everyday. And the mangoes and patties and sugarcane you can buy on the beach. We stayed at an all inclusive earlier and it was great but we didn’t have access to these foods and they are so so good. We’re already planning our next trip!
