Great central location. Friendly staff and wonderful breakfast. Just one issue with the parking. Property is advertised with parking, but the day before check-in we received an email saying it is on a first come, first served basis. Lucky it was mid week and not too busy, but it was stressful thinking we would not have anywhere to park

Only stayed here overnight on the way home from a road trip. Perfectly located in town. Rooms clean however because I have asthma I always notice dust and it was dusty behind bedside drawers. Shower overflew even when not run on full force - this needs to be addressed by management. Beds comfortable.

The rooms are a good size, but are really dusty. I believe it could be from the construction next door. The curtains are really old and created heaps of dust when ever you opened or closed them. The breakfast is average but great for what you need. Overall good stay, just needs a good clean!

Pool was kept well/ and towels available. Overall stay was nice. Very plain facilities, daily cleaning was good, but opening curtains caused dust to go everywhere (& layer of dust down full bed head area. So could use a good spring clean in the room we were in.

The bed was way too soft, I felt like I was sinking into the ground. The worst part of this stay was the adjoining room. Whilst the door was locked it was not at all soundproof. At 1 am and again at 3am the occupant of the room continued taking to someone very loudly. Through the door I could hear every word. It woke me up and only lessened when I banged in the door asking for quiet. But it didn’t stop! If you’re staying at this hotel ensure you get a room without an adjoining door ATURA MANAGEMENT you should soundproof these doors. I paid good money and got a restless and nearly sleepless night.

Took a while to check in as they could not find the booking at first, difficult to wait for so long with a toddler. Then they said apparently I had already been checked in and gave me a key. When I went to the room there was already another family in there which was extremely embarrassing. Then we had to go to reception again, we’re given another key and no apologies or compensation for such a big blunder on the hotels part.

We booked our hotel a day ahead and unfortunately my computer was still on the American date so I inadvertently booked it for THAT night! So, our bad but, after talking to the front deck multiple times at the time we checked in and at length the next morning, we were told by the hotel "You'll have to take that up with Expedia." After chatting with Expedia, they said the Atura would NOT do anything (and we were literally standing at their front counter watching it unfold in real time). Absolutely no one would even begin to talk to us about the problem - each blaming the other - and no option to talk to anyone at Hotels.com. Plus add to that, the dismissive treatment we got from the blonde woman at the front desk we were talking to got even worse when she walked around the counter and proceeded to check us out at the customer screen, quickly breezing through the opinion of our stay (as 5 star) WHICH IT WAS ANYTHING BUT!!! The manager behind the door was on a phone call and wouldn't be off 'for an hour'. So even though we were not loud or combative, we were silenced right from the get-go. This is how Atura's management treats their customers.

After check out, I advised staff that there was a noise in aircon fan we could not turn off. nothing resulted from it, really just ignored me. It kept us all up over night and I drove back to Canberra Very Tired.

Stay was lovely. Staff were friendly and location was perfect - could easily walk to shops, cafes, restaurants, Botanical Garden & Murray River Precinct. Room was great - it was clean, but unfortunately a little bit dusty but we found keeping the window opened helped alot. Breakfast was great value and the staff in the restaurant were very accommodating & helpful. Will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the years, under different management. The reason I choose this hotel as is a nice bar and restaurant downstairs. For me is convenient. I found out sadly both are closed Sundays. I was politely shown the commercial Club across the road. But if I was planning to have a drink and dinner there I could have stayed in a normal motel.Thus quite disappointed :-(

An overnight stop on our way home at The Atura was fine. A fan in the bathroom is needed and I felt the mattress in room 114 sloped towards the centre. SoI had a somewhat uncomfortable night’s sleep. Two very small things, would love a biscuit or two with my coffee/tea; most hotels generally supply those and the mugs could do with an update, as they’re not very nice to drink from. Ordered the “ragu” pasta in the restaurant. Dreadful! NOT a ragu! It was minced meat over pasta. Very fatty in flavour and not in a sauce. Extremely disappointing.
