The bed was comfortable and there was a small kitchenette and a washer/dryer combo that was handy. The location was super convenient.

Considering it’s Japan and hotels tend to have small rooms, the rooms here were spacious. We had a double bed, our bathroom with a tub, washing machine that also drys, a kitchen sink, microwave, water boiler, mini fridge, tv and a balcony. Wonderful room. We had wifi connectivity issues on one day of our stay but that’s about it. Everything else was good. Thank you to the staff they were really kind.

Great location in a quiet street, but a quick walk to Shibuya Sky, the crossing and the shopping. Loved that there was a combini close by and a cafe for breakfast in the morning. Big plus having a washer/dryer in the room. Very handy in the hot, humid weather we had in July.

This hotel was really nice! The rooms were soundproof so you never heard any outside noise. There is unlimited free coffee in the lobby which works great for long days. Everything was clean and the staff were great. They have luggage forwarding which made moving to the next hotel even smoother and less stressful! It’s also located near multiple convenience stores and close to the subway station.

The hotel is hard to find and then they send me to 2 block for the other section . It was too small and the tub and shower had mold . I would not Recomend it

The staff was really nice and welcoming, and the location was convenient — though we could hear the train from our room. Unfortunately, the room wasn’t very clean. There was dust in the corners, stains on the chair and carpet, and a grimy sink with a strong mildewy smell that permeated the whole room. The washer/dryer added to the damp odor, and a cabinet by the doorway had a rotten smell. The hallways also had a heavy smoke smell and stained carpets. Lovely staff, but the cleanliness needs major improvement.

Booked this hotel due to its good location and the fact it had a washing machine in the room. What’s good is that Shibuya station is about a 7 minute walk and there are lots of food options around, including a family mart right next door. Unfortunately this is where the positives ended. The hotel seems to have undergone a refit, where the common areas and facade seem nice and modern, but the rooms themselves (particularly the bath and shower area) have been missed out. The cleanliness of the room was particularly poor. There were a significant number of flies coming out of the bathroom drains on a daily basis, and the bathroom itself smelt terrible with a smell coming from the drains. Inside the room, something had been spilt in the wardrobe/clothing cupboard, and allowed to dry, which made it smell terrible and was unusable. With this hotel you have to pay extra to have the room cleaned, so naturally this wasn’t fixed. For the price and the cleanliness issues experienced, I would not recommend the hotel and would not return. I have read in other reviews that customers have experienced cockroaches in their rooms. Whilst I did not experience this myself, I did notice one on the street immediately outside this hotel. This was the only one I saw in 2.5 weeks in Japan.

Small room, but had a washer/dryer (two in one), small fridge (had a crack on one of the side shelves inside the fridge), not entirely clean - found some hair in the bathroom and scratches/mark stains along the wall behind the waste bin and somewhere else I forget, but did not matter that much to myself as I just threw out the hair and the stain was not a big deal either Utensils cabinet - was unsure if the glassware/utensils were cleaned before I checked-in as I saw a bit of dust inside the cabinet, again not a big deal, I just cleaned it myself before using it

Location was very confident. Close to Shibuya Station and an easy walk with luggage. Room and amenities are basic but nice and very comfortable. Air conditioning was excellent. Only complaint was smell of mildew from the bathroom. Not excessive but noticeable. It looked clean and cared for. Perhaps plumbing or ventilation related.

The hotel staff are helpful and can communicate in English, which is helpful for foreigners such as me. I do want to share that my poor experience with this establishment is due to the cleanliness of the hotel room. For example, there were stains all over the carpet and walls. In addition, the washroom had a foul smell that did not dissipate even with air fresheners.

Rooms need to updated. The bathroom we had you can see black spots and it needs remodeling.

The room was not clean at all. I had a lot of hairs behind the toilet like it was never been cleaned. The room did not look like in the website description.

The cleanliness left a lot to be desired — not just by Japanese standards, but by any standard, and I’ve lived in NYC. The bathroom had noticeable black mold and widespread stains, and to top it off, there were two hairs left stuck to the bathtub wall—almost like a warning that it hadn't been properly cleaned. They have chairs and tables in the lobby, but oddly, you're not allowed to eat there, which felt unnecessarily strict. The room itself was small, which didn’t bother me, and the bed was wide but short—my feet stuck out a bit, but again, not a dealbreaker. What did stand out was a dead cockroach on the hotel steps that remained there for six days, untouched. You’ll also spot live ones roaming the streets around the hotel at night, which is worth noting. The location is fairly convenient, especially if you’re okay with a 10-minute walk to the nearest station. I definitely made the most of the Family Mart next door—it practically lived off my snack runs. As for the service, the staff keeps to themselves. They don’t take out the trash or replace towels unless you specifically request it, though that seems to be increasingly common these days.

The room was ok, small. Only had one type of PowerPoint so make sure you bring the right adapters (2 prong). The bathroom drain absolutely stunk and the mold in the grout was disgusting. Would not stay again.

Quick 10 minute walk to Shibuya Station. Nice quiet street with a family mart right outside. Hotel staff lovely and friendly. Bed and pillows are uncomfortable at least for myself and my partner, both woke up multiple times in the night and with stiff necks.

The hotel was a short walk to Shibuya station and the scramble, however the area it was a bit more peaceful as not in the middle of all the chaos. It was nice to have a little balcony, as we were able to have a cool breeze one evening and turn off air con. Was a bonus having washer/dryer in our room and google translate on the phone. Would definitely stay here again if staying in Shibuya.

This might be the perfect distance from Shibuya - you can enjoy a little quiet while being less than 10 minutes walk from the scramble! Hotel itself is very clean, lobby is delightful and at least some rooms (including ours) had a modern washing drying machine that worked very well. Bed was comfortable, wifi was reliable, AC/heat unit in the room was responsive, and we got to try a few very good restaurants within one block. Annex building was perfectly fine for our stay, essentially the same but lobby is one block away.

Awesome economy hotel for long stays. Located on a quiet side street (!) just a few blocks south of Shibuya Station, it's a sanctuary from the insanity that makes the area so fun, but the shopping and nightlife are still right around the corner. The in-room washer/dryer was a key feature for our two-week stay, and the price was fantastic considering the amazing location and time of year (we stayed during Golden Week). It's not super glam, but for folks on a budget, it's a perfect option. The room was very small but super functional. Even our huge suitcases slid neatly under the bed, and there is tons of storage everywhere. (Open up those cabinets!) The bathrooms might not look like much, but the shower is surprisingly great with excellent pressure and hot water. The little balcony was great for getting some fresh air, too, although the trains across the street are noisy when the balcony door is open. The trains were much (much!) quieter with the door closed, and not noisy at all in my opinion. I'm from New York, though, so folks used to *complete silence* might not love it. (If that's you, I recommend staying in a less noisy and chaotic neighborhood like Koenji.) The one drawback is that the "Queen" bed is equivalent to a US "Full-size." The mattress was also a bit hard, and so were the pillows. (We managed.) Tokyu Stay is a reliable budget hotel chain with locations all over Tokyo, so even if Shibuya isn't right for you, you can find one just about anywhere you go.

Great location and comfortable bed. We were disappointed that the bed was against the wall making it difficult to get into as a couple. The picture on Hotels website showed a much bigger room. Even feet along the bed would have been better. Staff friendly and helpful. It was expensive for the quality and space but we made it work. Maybe on check in make sure you say bed must have 2 sides for entry

I really enjoyed my stay, very good location and just a 10 minute walk (maybe less) to both Shibuya station and the famous crossing! Staff were friendly and helpful, and I felt really comfortable in my room :) Would definitely recommend!

Staff and services was fantastic. I arrived early and stored my luggage. When I returned to check in, staff had already taken my luggage to the room.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is located very close to the Shinbuya station which is ideal to get anywhere in the city but is located on a quiet street away from the crowds. The room was very clean and not a bad size by local standards. The room had a washer/dryer that worked great. Nice have clean clothes for our next stop. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good free coffee in the lobby!

We arrived at det hotel 21 minutes earlier than check in at 15.00. They said the room was ready, but we had to pay early feed to get it. Toilet are dirty, and you can see the poor cleaning over time. It was a curtin in the shower and that is not nice knowing the poor cleaning. The room altso smeIls like mold. We complained and got a new room, simular, but slightly smaller and 4 stories lower. Not we are sorry and lets give you a complimentary breakfast or anything like that. Location of the hotell are excellent, as it is close to the tubes and shopping. If you are a light sleeper, you will maybee be annoyed be the train passing the hotell. For me it was ok as i was very tiered. The beds are hard, as thay normally are in Japan, but we slept comfortably.

Location of this hotel was perfect as its a 10 min walk from shibuya scramble, great restaurants and shopping near by. As for the hotel itself, one of the staff was very very accommodating. He helped us upgrade to a room with many amenities (like microwave, laundry, balcony). However, another one was the opposite and she didn't give us a grace period of an extra 15 minutes for checking out. She said we had to pay half an extra day which upset me. Most hotels have some sort of grace period. Besides that, hotel was nice and glad I chose to stay there.

Great location. Clean rooms. Plenty of plug ins. The staff were very kind and were extra helpful with baggage transfers. I would definitely stay here again. It was great to have an easy to use washer and dryer combo in our room as well as a microwave. Even the complimentary coffee downstairs was excellent!

Tokyu Stay Shibuya was a great choice for our time in Tokyo. The location is excellent—close to everything, but in a quieter area just outside the busiest part of Shibuya. The room was small, but it had everything we needed, including a washer/dryer and fridge, which made our stay really convenient. Perfect for a short or longer stay if you want comfort and practicality in a great spot.

It is conveniently located within 5 mins of shibuya station - with food options everywhere, Family mart next door and yet it is in the quiet part of shibuya. Room was compact but have everything we need and very comfortable and clean.

All excellent and great except breakfast

Location is excellent, very close to Shibuya Station. Staff is very helpful. Room was very clean. The hotel states “breakfast included” but there needs to be more information provided. There are 2 “breakfasts” available, Japanese & Western. The “Western” is a frozen ham & cheese sandwich with one thin slice of ham and a blob of cheese on top. Very doughy concoction. This is offered every day, no variety. We had booked other Tokyu Stay hotels on our long trip but cancelled all because of the terrible breakfast. We did not redeem our breakfast coupons the last two days and instead opted to purchase food elsewhere. We travel a lot and have never encountered this before. Please ask the hotel to be much more specific in their description.

Very close and convenient to the New South Entrance of Tokyo Station. Rooms on the small side but sufficient. The breakfast situation was pretty odd for a westerner (microwaveable croque monsieur sandwiches and soup that you brought back to your room to prepare). But it was food.
