I would classify the Highland Manor Inn as a nice mom and pop hotel. It's been owned and run by the same owners since new, and the staff is super friendly and low key. The continental breakfast is good and the pastries/muffins are home made, which is a bonus. Right across the street is a couple of restaurants. The rooms were clean and comfortable. No complaints. Coming in from SoCalifornia, this took me back to a time when things were easier and people were friendlier.
