Nice place. Pool no jacuzzi. Good breakfast. Clean comfortable beds

Hotel was average. Beds were comfortable and staff was friendly enough. Liked the larger than usual hotel table - it was large enough for four of us to comfortably play cards. The included breakfast was terrible to the point of mostly inedible. The eggs were nasty, the institutional sausage was greasy, the small blueberry & poppyseed muffins both tasted strange. However, the packaged yogurt, the orange juice and coffee were ok. This is a very large property with a number of buildings & many rooms. I liked the well maintained grounds. I wanted to get ice for the trip home but could not find an ice machine in the number of buildings I checked so I asked at the front desk. I was told there was only one ice machine and it was by the pool. I found the SMALL ice machine but it was behind a locked gate and a room key was required to access. (Picture attached) But the room key wouldn’t open the gate. The front desk clerk had to send the maintenance man to open the gate. It is also how you access the guest laundry, but the sign on the door said the machines were out of order. Anyhow overall a decent place to stay if you don’t want breakfast and will not need ice. In the summer that one small ice machine could never meet the demands of the many guests on even an ordinary day.

Needs little things--outside door opener not working, driveway flooded during rain storm , I staff, who was great, trying to keep up buffet for 59 plus people and room sercuxw once in 5 day stay.

Clean room and a very beautyful pool

The property is old and outdated. Key card entry to the buildings were non-functional. Anyone could enter all common areas. The gym is locked until 6 AM. The staff was nice. I would not stay here again.

The price (there was a promotion) for Hotel Picaldilly was less than half of an "all suites" hotel where I usually stay in Fresno when coming to town to visit family, which was the great draw. The room was at least as clean/comfortable as the other hotel (although the decor is a little bit dated), but the room even had a mini fridge (empty), microwave, and coffee maker which is what the all suites hotel has. There is a pool and a small fitness room. Neither of the treadmills in the fitness room worked perfectly (one had a faulty display, so you can't see how far you are running and the other had a belt that jerked and made me feel unsteady--a trip hazard), But not to worry if you run, Van Ness Extension is just across the street and is a nice place to run if you need to stretch your legs. The continental breakfast here is nicer than the one at the other hotel where I usually stay. I would stay here again, especially if they had the same deal and I only had to pay half the price of the other hotel.

This property was a surprising treat! We were pleasantly surprised and happy to have found you. From the rooms to the breakfast, pool, gym, bar and putting green. There was no place I would rather be! Lots and lots of things within walking too. We will definitely choose to stay with y'all again!!

Non hard service chairs or sofa need cleaning, they don’t look clean. Staff are wonderful. Pool is nice.

No microwave in rooms! No accommodations to a microwave on the premise. Big safety concern: Considering the hotel is located on a busy location, access to buildings were NOT locked! The hotel interiors are outdated and conflicts with the ambience of the hotel lobby.

Pros-budget friendly, decent free breakfast, comfortable bed Cons- could use some updates, fresh paint and fixing of minor cosmetic things (scratches on doors and etc) Cleaning-bed was nicely made and clean sheets and towels. However there were random stray hairs (not ours ) in the bathroom and a used toothpick on the floor of the room. I wish it would have been cleaner, however for the value and as a stop over to Yosemite it was fine

Staff is very friendly. Breakfast has changed since we came last year and seems to have less options but we still enjoyed it. Potatoes were good. I was hoping they would have OJ but it only had cranberry juice and apple juice. Room is very neat and clean. AC worked well. very quiet ac unit. Cool retro looking hotel, I really loved the look! very spacious. Hallway is very loud but luckily it wasnt too disruptive. We will stay here again. :)

The staff was great. We asked for a room change due to the bathroom in our room was not clean. The staff gladly moved us to another room. Though better in some respects, the floor hadn't been swept in a long time and fixtures hadn't been dusted either.

Bathroom was dirty, room smelled musky, furniture and deco is very out dated, noisy with doors closing loudly all through the night, sound echoed through the halls, found a huge roach in the bathroom. The staff was nice though.

Rooms are clean and quiet. The whole area is beautiful. Wonderful breakfast included.

The room was very clean, I was flea bitten and I brought no pets with me.

There are some "hairs" in the bathtub, and a used towel is hanging on the shower curtain rod

Property has been around forever so it’s got established grounds which is nice- location is easy to get in and out of. Pool is well maintained. Rooms are kinda dated. Bedding is white which is good, but TV is small, air conditioner worked but was a little temperamental, bathroom door was hard to shut and our toilet ran. Shower head was really good and water pressure was amazing! Walls are thin and doors are heavy so they slam and echo in the hallway. BUT the staff was very kind, and for the price, it was all worth it.

Staff was very pleasant! Nice to deal with. Room was loud with mechanical noises: refrig, air conditioner, other (unidentified) Pillows were the hardest most uncomfortable pillows I've ever slept on. Bed was comfortable.

Only problem was noise in hall, because of tile hall you can here everybody walking by your room. Need to soundproof door or add carpet runners to hall. Thanks William

The Wi-Fi connection in Room 349 was extremely poor. I needed to use the internet during my stay, but the lack of connectivity made that nearly impossible.

A little outdated and the beds were stiff. Place was ok otherwise.

Stayed in room #169, the shower took forever for warm water (dial opposite of actual); water trickled...was warm...cold...warm...cold...this was awful to get all the soap off.

No WiFi for the entire 5 day stay - and I was in an executice room! I went to the front desk daily. This was a business trip and incredibly inconvenient that I could not work in my room. I had to use the business office. I’ve stayed there a dozen times… If I don’t get some sort of credit back I will never stay there again.

everything was nice and clean, the bed was very comfortable and pillows, ac was a bit slow but it worked. The only thing missing was a microwave, this is a necessity especially families traveling with babies or kids. The area was clean and close by to stores, entertainment and shopping.

I have stayed here since 1975. I love the place. However, the NO morning hot water situation is getting worse. The wash basin water flow is restricted down to trickle in room 166 and no hot water for a shower from 6 AM to 10 AM. My other two recent stays in rooms 174 and 178 weren't any better. I am thinking about changing my Fresno stays to The Garden Inn so I will be able to take a shower.

When I arrived at the hotel I asked to be seated in the hotel restaurant.. it was about 5:00 p.m., the place was empty but they said they were full for the night and it proceeded to go downhill from there with bad attitude and not trying to be accommodating at all. I asked if it mattered if I was a hotel guest and they said he said no. When I got to my room as I was going to bed I noticed a bug crawling on my pillow- this was at about midnight so I called and had to move all my stuff two buildings down .then I got to the other room and when I woke up the other morning, I could see that the sheets were dirty so again I called the desk and I asked them to please change the sheet.. the nice young man came to the door with the sheets and said I guess I could put them on myself and I didn't want to so to his credit he did get a housekeeper and they did change the sheets for me.. the front desk didn't offer this help at all.. As I was leaving I asked to speak to a manager she came out completely stoned-faced I started explaining to her she immediately interrupted me and told me she'd heard about it from the restaurant and gave me all the reasons why they were busy and reservations and all that and never cracked a smile and never said anything and told me basically that I was lying when I told her the waiter said about being a guest didn't matter. I told her about the moving and the sheet issue and she had no reaction.. I could go on but I'm out of space.. Beware- uncaring..

Friendly front desk staff

My family and I were getting to Fresno way after the check in time of 11pm. They noted it and when we arrived, we were processed without any issue.

The staff are all super nice and efficient. The rooms are large and clean. We stay here every time we visit Fresno. Great place!

My daughter broke her leg and dislocated her ankle while working in the National Park. She landed at the hospital in Fresno. I flew in from out of town to help, having never been to Fresno before. Our stay involved last second changes, chaos waiting for the doc to decide when her 2nd surgery would be, and oh, so many pillows. The management and staff were so understanding, sweet and helpful. Can't recommend them highly enough! So grateful for their caring attention and understanding of our circumstances.

We have stayed her 4 times now. Different staff has helped us with some repeat staff. All the staff has smiles, is chatty without being intrusive they all seem to truely be enjoying their work day. Had an issue in a room at 2am it was handled in less than 30 min from Call to front desk to 100% resolved.

I have health issues and the staff was very accommodating.

Clean room staff was super friendly

We have been staying here monthly for the past four months. We will be changing to a different hotel. Check in staff was rude. Refused to take a credit card that I use the last time as well as no hot water and loud people above us at all hours of the night.

We have been staying at this hotel for years as we have family in Fresno. Good quality hotel and always with the best prices. Convenient location with restaurants nearby.

This hotel is in a very good location, and has good parking options. I felt secure there, and the room was in good condition. Hotel Piccadilly has a very good hot breakfast buffet. Also, there is a very good Italian restaurant two blocks east on Shaw Ave. that I can walk to and have dinner.

Proximity and good price

Had a lovely stay here. Quiet area. Staff were very helpful. Easy drive to dining around the area .

Your hotel is very nice; both the rooms and the grounds are very impressive, and I like very much the location on Shaw Ave. because it is very convenient to much of Fresno.

This was the fourth time we stayed at this property and have not been disappointed. The only element of our stay that could use some substantial improvement is the breakfast in the morning with is mediocre at best.

Lovely welcome at reception. Spoiled by news restaurant and bar closed Sunday and Monday ( no mention on hotels. Com) Pool pleasant but lacked sunshade umbrellas. Pool towels provided but clearly old room towels and some were shabby Room somewhat tired and dated and needed considerable updating. Bathroom black mould between bath and wall screen. Rooms only serviced every three days - a dreadful decision for a hotel Grounds good even in externally a refresh of buildings is necessary Overall difficult to see why it gained glowing reviews and wouldn’t return

We stayed 2 nights, days apart, in 2 different rooms and was very pleased with the service (even accommodating for a disability issue that we hadn't previously requested). The breakfast quality was hot and well-prepared; the rooms were comfortable and clean. If we need another stay in Fresno in the future, this will be our preferred hotel!

Good breakfast and good environment.

Great stay. Room was spacious with easy to use climate control. Comfortable bed and pillows with black out drapes. Shower pressure was above average with basic adjustable head. Front desk were informative and very helpful. Breakfast was comparable to most hotel breakfasts but slightly better then most. Bar and restaurant quality was superb. I will definitely be staying here again.

Great stay, and very helpful staff, though it would be nice if the breakfast was open a little later, it is only open from 6am-9am, most other hotels have it open till 10am or 11am. Other than that it was great!

Friendly staff. Restaurant is uncommonly good for a hotel.

Milk was sour at breakfast. Was exchanged for sour milk again. Finally after three asks, the milk was acceptable for consumption.
