Ora Luxury Rooms are immediately opposite the main bus station in Dubrovnik making it a perfect location for airport transfers (€15 euro return) and buses every 10/15 minutes into the Old Town (€5 return or included in €40 Dubrovnik day pass). The host Luko was an absolute gentleman, meeting me at the bottom of the steps (only about 10 of them) to carry my suitcase to the accommodation and the same on departure. Just let him know what time you are arriving. The rooms are immaculate and well equipped with kettle, glasses, hair dryer and fridge. The accommodation is in the port area but it felt very safe and there are cafes seconds away. I felt it was the perfect choice for my needs.

The owner, Luca, was very welcoming and friendly. He helped carry my bags up the stairs from the street to my room. The room and property was very clean and comfortable.

The check in time says 2:00 pm on hotels.com. We arrived at 2:30 pm and the host (who appears to be the owner) said that he messaged me asking what time i was gonna arrive but i didnt answer. So he wasnt sure what time to make the room ready. I told him i was on the plane for 8 hours and didnt have reception but the check in is at 2 pm so i thought i didnt need to tell him what time. He kept questioning and complaining that he wasnt ready. Then i told him that we don’t mind waiting if the room is not ready. He checked the room and he said it’s fine then he took us to the room. He stood in the room and he said he needs to explain everything. It is a literally small room with just bed and a small closet and the bathroom. All I wanted to do is have a cold shower and relax, and he kept saying he needs to explain to me the room. When I told him we will figure it out don’t worry he told me that I have an attitude and he doesn’t appreciate his guest to have an upset face. This might be a cultural issue but i didnt understand why he took things personal. Then when my husband tried to ease the situation, he started complaining about me to my husband. Super rude, unprofessional, and sensitive for some reason. The bed uncomfortable and the room was basic anyway. More important things to be proud of to improve for sure.
