3 important things to take note to future guests: Location: it’s one of the farthest hotels if you are coming from the railway station (close to the hot spa) and it’s a walk uphill so be ready. Water: shower water was my main issue here—i struggled rinsing because water is poor.. And I only mean shower water- becasue the lavatory is okay. Wifi: maybe true to most hotels, you almost don’t get anything but buffering. FYI: i stayed on the “1/F” (2nd floor). I wonder if it is true to other floors above me. On the positive side, the staff were very accommodating, the breakfast for me was superb! Got to store my luggage for 7 hrs and they even offered me to deliver my luggages to the station.

It’s a nice, clean, modern hotel. We stayed 2 nights. Our room was big with a view of the mountains. Only con was the bathtub was difficult to step into. Breakfast was plentiful. We got 5 kilos of laundry done for $20. Best bargain ever. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because of the location. It was up a very long and steep hill at the top of town. Although when we arrived at train station the hotel sent someone to meet us and he very kindly pulled my suitcase up the hill. There are some nice restaurants located close by so no need to go down the hill. Also it’s very close to the hot springs. If you don’t have mobility issues, you should definitely stay here. Oh. They have good TV access. We were. Able to watch the Super Bowl in our room.

Greatly enjoyed my stay at Taypikala Boutique. Scenic location in heart of town, conveniences and train station within easy walking distance. Excellent breakfast. An unexpected, pleasant surprise was a drinking water machine in the lobby, saving me from going out and buying plastic water bottles. I don't see this very often and it was very much appreciated. I highly recommend this beautiful, cozy hotel.

Front desk staff, Nancy and Miguel were kind and helpful. As for the property itself, it left a lot to be desired...rooms were small and nondescript. No AC or heat, just a fan and a very loud dehumidifier? Breakfast was ok but lacking many choices like oatmeal, breakfast potatoes or scrambled eggs (hardboiled only). Location was good, though you should be in good shape as it is at the top of a steep hill along the river. Would chose another place with more amenities if I were to return to Agua Client. Thanks

The view was amazing. Bed and linens were super comfortable! We wanted to stay an extra night, but they were fully booked so we were sad to go. Jacuzzi tub didn’t seal fully because of stopper so we never could get the jacuzzi tub completely full. The water also wasn’t scalding hot like I like, just warm. The elevator also broke while we were there so we had to climb 4 flights of stairs with the luggage, but you have to walk everywhere anyways so it wasn’t that big of a deal. We would definitely stay here again. The breakfast just okay, but it was nice to have something to start the day with. The view tho was top notch! 💜💜

The hotel is located up the hill in aguas caliente - 10 min walk from the train station. A staff member greeted us when we arrived and helped carry our luggage to hotel. We had a nice suite, but it seemed like they took down the second tv near our bed. They have portable heater and dehumidifier. No central heating. They have a nice jetted tub near bed and our room had a nice bathroom with 2 sinks and shower. The furniture was okay. The food offered was not great.

Hotel bom. Infelizmente quando estivemos lá o banheiro estava com a pia entupida e o chuveiro não esquentava. Como foi apenas uma noite não trocamos de quarto. Café da manhã muito bom! Gardam as malas e mesmo depois do checkout utilizamos o espaço comum a vontade. Tem água disponível pra encher a garrafinha gratuita.

Property was in a good location, away from some of the busier parts. If walking uphill to your room from most the food restaurants, this might not be your place. Otherwise it was safe, quiet, and clean. No AC and misquotes were a problem so this made the room a little uncomfortable.

The room was okay, Amazing view from the room but the bathroom could use a deep clean due to some mold. The highlight of our stay was definitely the breakfast and the great service. They even helped send our bags to the train station for us.

Floor was dirty, my white socks got black in an instant. Also, the amenities are very dated. First morning they served me omelette with a long black thick hair inside. Absolutely disgusting.

We were upgraded to a suite at the Taypikala Boutique Machupicchu. The room had access to balcony with breathtaking views of the mountains and Aguas Calientes. The property sits almost at the top of the town so you have amazing views. Nancy, and the staff were incredibly helpful, patient and gave us insights on how to navigate our visit to Machu Pichu. Definitely would recommend. Five Stars across the board.

La habitacion estaba bien aunque los sellos de las ventanas no eran tan buenos para bajar el ruido de una fuente que se encuentra fuera del hotel, la atención del personal muy buena, se pusieron en contacto conmigo previamente para recogerme en la estación del tren, solo el internet en el piso 5 presentaba intermitencia. Sin duda volveria en mi próximo viaje.

Staff was very helpful! So nice to be met at the train station and get help with our bags up the steep hill to the hotel which is located at the cry top, quite near the thermal springs. The hotel connected us with a guide who met us the afternoon before our visit to Machu Picchu for a briefing. He helped us get cash and our bus ticket for the last leg to Machu Picchu, in addition to pointing out where we could get the Machu Picchu stamp for our passports. The hotel staff gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner - Chullos by the train tracks.

I had a pleasant stay at Taypikala Boutique Hotel. The staff were welcoming and generously upgraded me to a suite, which was a lovely surprise. The room was comfortable and exceeded my expectations. The only downside was that the hot water in the shower ran out after a few minutes, turning slightly chilly. Still, it was an overall great experience, and I’d happily stay again.

The hotel is located in Aguas Calientes, with NO cars, NO bikes, and NO means of public transportation. This was told to us by the staff at the hotel in Cusco (to travel light). I cannot imagine visiting Aguas Calientes with anything besides a backpack since it is all located on a hill. This hotel is at the top of a hill, so be ready to walk... a lot. Thankfully, after a day in Cusco, we managed the altitude and did not get sick. Anywhere you stay in Aguas Calientes is within walking distance from shops and restaurants, the bus stop to Machu Picchu, and the train station back to Cusco. It’s a nice, clean, modern hotel. We stayed 2 nights. Our room was big with a view of the mountains. Only con was the bathtub was difficult to step into. Breakfast was plentiful. We got 5 kilos of laundry done for $20. Best bargain ever. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because of the location. It was up a very long and steep hill at the top of town. Although when we arrived at train station the hotel sent someone to meet us and he very kindly pulled my suitcase up the hill. There are some nice restaurants located close by so no need to go down the hill. Also it’s very close to the hot springs. If you don’t have mobility issues, you should definitely stay here. Oh. They have good TV access. We were. Able to watch the Super Bowl in our room.

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. The suite with Mountain View was so gorgeous I just never wanted to leave. Bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. The jetted tub was luxurious, as were the fluffy bath robes that came with the room. You could hear the nearby river as you drifted off to sleep. The staff was incredibly accommodating, friendly and enthusiastic. They let us leave our luggage with them until check in since our train arrived early, then let us leave the luggage again after checkout and sent it down to the station for us when our train was set to leave so we didn’t have to walk up the hill again to retrieve it. The breakfast was better than any hotel I’ve stayed in. Overall, one of the best experiences I’ve had in a hotel. Well worth the price.

Wonderful hotel!! Our room was so beautiful and the view was amazing. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Yes, this hotel is up a hill but I would highly recommend it for the views, clean and comfortable rooms and helpful staff. They carried our bags for us all the way down to the train station. The breakfast was good too!

Greatly enjoyed my stay at Taypikala Boutique. Scenic location in heart of town, conveniences and train station within easy walking distance. Excellent breakfast. An unexpected, pleasant surprise was a drinking water machine in the lobby, saving me from going out and buying plastic water bottles. I don't see this very often and it was very much appreciated. I highly recommend this beautiful, cozy hotel.

Front desk staff, Nancy and Miguel were kind and helpful. As for the property itself, it left a lot to be desired...rooms were small and nondescript. No AC or heat, just a fan and a very loud dehumidifier? Breakfast was ok but lacking many choices like oatmeal, breakfast potatoes or scrambled eggs (hardboiled only). Location was good, though you should be in good shape as it is at the top of a steep hill along the river. Would chose another place with more amenities if I were to return to Agua Client. Thanks

The location was good for food and shopping. The breakfast was wonderful. However the bathrobes were a little ragged. When we checked out, the staff stored our baggage while we visited Machu Picchu, which we appreciated, but were unable to walk it down to the train station with us when we returned. It would have been nice if they had helped us get our bags to the station.

When we booked the hotel the distance from perurail station was shown as 280m. What was not mentioned was it is uphill slope with grades from 30 to 40 degrees. We asked the perurail conductor for directions and he came out with us at the meeting point and shouted Taypikala many times for no response. We could see people from other hotels standing for offering luggage assistance. We were exhausted pulling 50lbs of baggage and reached up drenched in sweat. For me with my heart condition this could be dangerous. While returning we asked the front desk if they can provide luggage service but they said they don’t have it available so on return we had to walk with the luggage downhill. The staff on the front desk did not give satisfactory response. The breakfast service was good.
