This is like a boutique hotel. The portable floor air conditioner in my room did not work and it was hot in my room. The front desk staff came to push to buttons as I had done and told me they didn't have one to replace the broken one in my room. They have a note in the bathroom stating that you will be charged if you use the towels for make up removal or cause any stains on the towels, which is something I've never seen before, and I travel a lot. The hotel is right my the train station so I thought it would be very noisy but it was not so I'm really grateful for that. We were not happy that they didn't put our rooms next to each other even though I made the reservations a few weeks back. One of us was on 2nd floor and the other on 7th floor. The whole town is easily walkable and listening to the water going down the river/stream which cut through the center of the town is very nice.

The place is really nice and clean. However, the unfortunate thing happened beyond their control. There was a black out in the district and the hotel have no generator. Weekend in one night and arrived at 4pm. The black out occurred from 8pm to past our check out time which checked out at 3:30am as we have to catch a bus to Machu Picchu. It was a very uncomfortable experience that should have at least had a remedy or other special accommodations or some compensations for the guests.

Convenient hotel to the train station. We had a quiet room and the room was clean and comfortable. The only problem was the hot water took a very long time to come out of the shower. I shared with the front desk and hey came to look / then it didn’t take so long but I still had the same problem after. The cleaning staff were in a hurry the last day / had to ask for towels and return a bottle of cleaner as well as get a roll of toilet paper.

Las habitaciones son mucho más pequeñas de lo que se ve en las fotos, nos quedamos sin agua en la regadera dos veces, una por la noche y otra por la madrugada, lo que nos atrasó nuestro itinerario. En el desayuno se les acabo el agua natural y dijeron que ya no tenían más. Las camas fueron poco cómodas y el aire acondicionado era muy ruidoso y poco funcional. La ubicación es muy buena, básicamente es saliendo del tren y el personal fue muy amable.

Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was great. Hotel is right next to the train station so strong odor of diesel exhaust present and AC didn’t function well.

The staff can play with the lack of english speaking skills they have, I was caught with stopped water while I showered in the morning, they agreed it was maintenance issue and promised that they will refund one night as a courtsey and inconvenience, I wrote the complaint in their official complaint book and update it to ensure they fulfill their promise, later in the evening and upon checkout, upon asking status, they completely switched and punted the issue to each other in between 2 staff members. Not recommending this hotel unless you want to deal with unprofessional people who do not fulfill their commitment after you were standing in shower with shampoo on and they shut off water for 30 minutes for maintenance :(((

Infelizmente, minha experiência no Hotel Inti Punku Machu Picchu não foi boa. A única vantagem é a localização, bem em frente à estação de trem. Isso facilita muito a logística para quem chega ou sai de Machu Picchu, pois é possível deixar as malas no hotel antes do passeio e pegá-las facilmente ao retornar. Nesse ponto, o hotel é prático. No entanto, o quarto deixou muito a desejar: extremamente pequeno, com carpete úmido e cheiro desagradável, semelhante a mofo e suor. O ambiente é abafado e sem estrutura para um hotel que se apresenta como 3 ou 4 estrelas — na minha opinião, não merece essa classificação. Um ponto positivo do quarto foi o chuveiro, que realmente é muito bom, com água quente e boa pressão. Mas isso não compensa o desconforto geral. Além de faltar energia. Internet horrível. O café da manhã foi muito fraco, com pouquíssimas opções: basicamente um pão, uma fatia de queijo e presunto, poucas frutas, sucos ou variedade. Para quem vai enfrentar o passeio de Machu Picchu, o café da manhã é essencial — e este, infelizmente, decepciona bastante. Fiquei no quarto 202, e a experiência foi bastante desagradável. O cheiro era insuportável, e passar mais de uma noite ali seria impossível. Em resumo, só vale pela localização, mas não recomendo. Há opções bem melhores em Águas Calientes pelo mesmo preço.

A bit disappointed as I booked this hotel based on the review rating which I thought it will be a great stay in Aguas Calientes but turned out to be an disappointment. From check in, staff provided us wrong breakfast info, then the room was really damp and smelly. The mattress is worn out should be replaced. The bathroom shower is slow drain and with hair in the wall. I am usually not very fussy but all these added up to a bit disappointment.

Our ceiling was literally falling apart due to water damage. Party of the ceiling fell on the floor. Our bathroom started to flood in the middle of the night too. Out balcony was next to the train station so it smelled like gas the whole time

Absolutely fantastic location. Right next to the station and the main artisan market. People at reception is the sweetest and kindest. The property can really use an upgrade. The first room we got had extremely pungent smell and dampness and the lamp shades had what seemed like mold on them. The staff was sweet enough to move us to a nicer albeit smaller room and it was just one night so we settled instead of continuing to smell the bad air.

The property is very run down. Ceiling light fixtures were almost hanging from a cable. The room had a musty smelll. Also you can feel the springs from the mattress when you lay down.

숙소 깨끗하고 너무 따뜻해서 좋았습니다. 기차역 바로 옆인데도 방음이 잘 되는지 조용했어요. (전혀 안시끄러웠어요) 온수 완전 잘 나오고 숙소 따뜻해서 오랜만에 잘 잤습니다. 감사합니다. 강력 추천해요!!!

Great hotel for stop over in Agua Calientes. Despite being so close to the train station we didnt have any issues- we did wake up early to head to Machu Picchu. Highly recommend. Room was spacious and had a balcony.

This is a very average hotel but doable if you’re just looking for a place to shower and sleep. Rooms are very small, outdated and stuffy. The bed was horrible and the mattress was probably 10 years old. There is no AC, but there is hot water and good water pressure. Note, the hotel is RIGHT next to the train station so pollution smell is strong and overwhelming. Breakfast buffet was ok and had everything you need for average - eggs, potatoes, fruit, coffee, bread, juice. Would not come back but ok for backpackers - not a place for comfort and luxury.

Hotel justo pelo valor, porém quarto muito pequeno e vc escuta tudo dos outros quartos, paredes muito finasx não tem aquecimento e o ar condicionado faz um barulho absurdo. Cama pequena de casal, poderia ser queen ou até king pelo espaço que havia disponível no quarto, banheiro pequeno. Café da manhã justo.

Aclaro que el personal es súper amable, les di esas estrellas por que la primer noche nos dieron una ratonera (hablo de el cuarto) mi difícil hasta para ir a el baño por que le tocabas los pies a él de la cama, no hay espacio para caminar, el baño súper chiquito, no había espacio ni para las maletas, me hubiera quejado ese mismo día pero lo hice hasta el día siguiente y si, amablemente nos cambiaron a otra habitación mejor y me di cuenta que en la otra habitación no nos habían dado ni agua 😅, no se dejen dar la 401

Die Unterkunft war sauber und direkt neben dem Bahnhof gelegen. Die Zimmer sind klein aber ausreichend da man im Zug kein großes Gepäck mitführen darf und man meistens ja nur eine Nacht bleibt. Das Frühstück war ok, die Auswahl ist verbesserungswürdigaber es gab frisch gepressten Orangensaft 😅

This place worked perfect for a one night stay to see Machu Picchu! Right beside the train station! Short walk to catch the bus up to Machu Picchu. The Hotel staff was very helpful, kept our luggage while we spent the day at Machu Picchu. Breakfast was great. We had a suite which was great and roomy.

This hotel was honestly just an overnight stay before visiting Machu Picchu, however, was one of our favorite stays of our trip. The rooms we had were nice, clean, and had a balcony with a great view. The staff was very friendly and we were very grateful that they allowed us the next day to use a room short term to shower and clean off from our hike that morning even though we had already checked out. A+ service in our opinion

The staff can play with the lack of english speaking skills they have, I was caught with stopped water while I showered in the morning, they agreed it was maintenance issue and promised that they will refund one night as a courtsey and inconvenience, I wrote the complaint in their official complaint book and update it to ensure they fulfill their promise, later in the evening and upon checkout, upon asking status, they completely switched and punted the issue to each other in between 2 staff members. Not recommending this hotel unless you want to deal with unprofessional people who do not fulfill their commitment after you were standing in shower with shampoo on and they shut off water for 30 minutes for maintenance :(((

Infelizmente, minha experiência no Hotel Inti Punku Machu Picchu não foi boa. A única vantagem é a localização, bem em frente à estação de trem. Isso facilita muito a logística para quem chega ou sai de Machu Picchu, pois é possível deixar as malas no hotel antes do passeio e pegá-las facilmente ao retornar. Nesse ponto, o hotel é prático. No entanto, o quarto deixou muito a desejar: extremamente pequeno, com carpete úmido e cheiro desagradável, semelhante a mofo e suor. O ambiente é abafado e sem estrutura para um hotel que se apresenta como 3 ou 4 estrelas — na minha opinião, não merece essa classificação. Um ponto positivo do quarto foi o chuveiro, que realmente é muito bom, com água quente e boa pressão. Mas isso não compensa o desconforto geral. Além de faltar energia. Internet horrível. O café da manhã foi muito fraco, com pouquíssimas opções: basicamente um pão, uma fatia de queijo e presunto, poucas frutas, sucos ou variedade. Para quem vai enfrentar o passeio de Machu Picchu, o café da manhã é essencial — e este, infelizmente, decepciona bastante. Fiquei no quarto 202, e a experiência foi bastante desagradável. O cheiro era insuportável, e passar mais de uma noite ali seria impossível. Em resumo, só vale pela localização, mas não recomendo. Há opções bem melhores em Águas Calientes pelo mesmo preço.

I worried I wouldn't be able to sleep due to train noise. The hotel assured me it was a quiet room. It actually was very quiet! The location, the comort, and the room with a balcony made this place a winner. The breakfast was not our favorite. Eggs were good if there was any available. The room had a very unpleasant odor and there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Smells from outside, including train diesel fumes, cooking odors, and a strong sewage-like smell, came into the room and stayed. It became so intolerable that we had to request a different room. Cleanliness was also very disappointing in the first room. We found hair and small stains on the comforter and pillows. The bathroom window faced directly toward the windows of another building, which offered no privacy. I rarely ever write bad reviews but we will never come back and so glad to be out of there.
