Baymont by Wyndham Intl Speedway/I-95/Daytona Beach

lawn maintenance had not been done in some time, awning on building was being held up by 4x4s and the door to get into the building was busted and covered by a piece of plywood. didnt even check in, felt very unsafe. looked run down. not like the pics on expedia, wish they would send people out to secret shop the places they want is to stay at. thank goodness i didn't pay ahead

Asked about ice machine said there was a working one in 3rd building I was in first building and there was not one in any of buildings.. asked why no Internet and no tvs but it was not until 2nd day I stayed that it worked

The secondary door locks are removed on all room doors and the curtains don’t cover the windows properly so passersby can see into your room. The place looks dirty both in the rooms and corridors. The swimming pool was filled with everything except water! Do not believe the pictures, it really isn’t anything like them!! I felt so unsafe, I piled a chair and all my luggage in front of the door - it wouldn’t have stopped someone entering but at least it would give me some warning!!

There was absolutely nothing I liked. The pool was closed, no dresser for my cloths, the sliding door did not work, if there was a fire we were trapped. Took $100 deposit and was told I get it back at checkout and I am still waiting on it. Went for breakfast and there was no half n half for coffee no orange juice no bagels nothing but toast or waffles with no syrup. Woke up on our day to check out and my car was towed when my parking pass was clearly in the window. It cost me $200 to get my car back. I do not and will never stay here again nor will I recommend this place.

We needed a hotel for the Daytona 500 and this was the last room that was within walking distance. Paul at the front desk was excellent and allowed us to park early but the hotel itself was completely run down. The pool was emptied and filled with rain water and patio chairs. I considered not drinking at the race so I could drive back to Sarasota and not sleep there. We didn’t even shower because the towels were stained with black dirty marks. The AC unit clunked all night long so it was the worst sleep I ever got at a hotel. The worst part is we paid over $250 for our room. This hotel should absolutely be condemned!

Room door doesn't closed of the balcony bugs was on the ceiling and the beds are extra small....and they charge a deposit and don't tell you..then they lied they don't have a hot tub and the pools doesn't work

If Daytona Speedway is your priority, then this will do, but... It's not a hotel ! It's an old La Quinta motel that's had a coat of paint. It's tragically overpriced. The staff are friendly and helpful, but that's where it ends. The rooms are spacious and the bed comfortable, but not very of a 'hotel' quality. The swimming pool hasn't been open for some while, and breakfast is toast or dry cereal, and that's if it's open (times change on a day basis and may not even be available).

The hotel is being remodeled. Our room was clean with the exception of paint droppings all over the floor. When we first checked in, we had to push extra hard on the door from where the paint had dried the door shut. The pool was supposed to be open but closed the entire time we were there. Our room was never cleaned/serviced. Not concerned the beds were not made; however the shower towels never dried so we had to go find our own replacement towels in the hallway on the cart and additional toilet paper as well. Breakfast was cereal, toast, bagel and waffle maker. There are no phones in room to phone front desk and when you call from your cell phone, no one answered. Our room keys also deactivated everyday and we would have to go to the office to get them reactivated. We were there Wednesday-Sunday. Make sure you keep your parking pass in the windshield—tow trucks constantly do rounds to make sure you have them in your windshield and will tow anyone that doesn’t. Other pros: room was clean, close to I-95, beds were comfortable

Quality and condition inferior even for motels. Disgusting bathtub. Slippery and slimy hallway floor. Absolute ripoff for the price point. Hygienic conditions unacceptable for travelers.

I need a refund! This is the dirtiest most sketchy hotel I have ever seen. Homeless people in the parking lot. Doors don’t lock. DIRTY EVERYTHING! Walls, floors, linens, surfaces, windows it even smells of stink and dirt. The man offered me another room. “Renovated” I checked it out. Got even more scared by seeing the back of the property. Druggies, prostitution, and wait ….. I found a GIGANTIC BED BUG. It the first corner of the bed that I looked

Just an awful property, no towels, vomit on the front of the toilet when we got there, the carpet was wet and when are Barefeet hit the bathroom floor it was black! Just disgusting

I should have known when I walked into the lobby and saw torn and stained furniture that this place was not as it appeared in their photos. After walking up a smelly stairwell with stained and torn carpets and down the hall, I passed rooms with dirty sheets piled up on the outsides of each doorway. It was midnight when I checked in so I was tired and hoped the room was better. It wasn’t. The room smelled like cigarettes and mold; the bedding was stained, the balcony door wouldn’t lock or even fully close. Then the bathroom! The shower was blacked on the bottom, cracked and you could see where they poorly attempted to fix the cracks with caulking. However it was the flooring that took the cake, it was full of water. As we stepped around, water seeped from the crack in the laminate and squished around with any real weight put on it. We immediately grabbed our belongings and went back to the lobby where the young man at the front desk did not apologize, indicating to me that he was already aware the rooms were absolute trash, he didn’t even attempt to offer us another room. He cancelled our room and off we went to another hotel. It’s unfortunate and appalling that this place is caring the otherwise respectable name of Wyndham.

Stayed out of necessity. Room was dirty. Bathroom was dirty and tub wouldn’t drain. And tub was dirty. Visible mold on walls and baseboards. Beds sink in the middle. Wouldn’t even use the water to brush my teeth.

this place is disgusting what ever you do spend the extra money roaches, other peoples hair on towels floor and bath tub. human feces in the bed. food stains on the wall. black mold in the bath room cue tips on the bath room floor. looks nothing like the pictures over grown grass crack heads in the lobby. one of the worst experiences of my life. genuinely again SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY.

In the closet I found dirty and smelly towels on the floor. I saw a small cockroach on the door of the same closet. The tub spout didn't close properly and I slept listening to the dripping all night. The balcony was dirty and it even had water or perhaps urine on the floor or carpet... I think it was, I saw it through the screen, I didn't dare to go out. The main door opened without a card/key just by pushing, I was insecure. Bad experience 😞

When I booked they listed free wi-fi but there is no wi-fi. No phone in the room, very limited amenities. Entire property is run down and in need of some major upgrades.

The bath tub was filthy. The sheets had stains. And the door to the balcony was separated from the glass.

The first room we were given had a sliding door that would not shut all the way, nor would it latch. In the room we were then given, the water coming from the shower and tub faucet was yellow, and took hours for the tub to fully drain. The bathroom was gross, with caulk peeling away from fixtures and walls. The bathroom door could only be shut by slamming it closed.

The property outside, inside hallways, and rooms has been poorly maintained. It seems a young adult did painting of hallways and rooms as paint was applied and dripped all over floor, stair landing, room walls where paint brush markings were all over the floor and where the wall met the trim. No telephone in the room. The TV had to lines running down the middle of the TV. Even when trying to avoid the lines on the TV it only worked for about 3 minutes and then would go into a scatter screen as if the TV signal provided was sketchily wired. When crawling into the bed the middle clasped where you sleep in a hole all night long. I had to sleep with my feet at one corner and my head at the opposite corner to even begin to lay flat. The air conditioner did work good though. And, they charge me a deposit amount in addition to the room charge that was higher then the one night stay. I am hoping I get my deposit back. The breakfast they offered was very minimal where the toaster only cooked on one side of the toast. This hotel that has the flagship of Wyndham should be removed from having that flagship. That is the reason why I choose this place. It does NOT meet the normal requirements of a flagship Wyndham hotel. Shame on the owners...

The room was clean, but we found a hole in the wall, no safety lock in the door, looks like they remodeling the property.

Liked proximity to Daytona Speedway. Disike: first given keys to an occupied room, next keys to second room did not work, had to return to front desk, mold smell, poorly maintained building, new paint all over carpet, shower valve dripped a night, caulking missing all around bathroom, no drinking cups/ice bucket in room, no ice machine, TV did not work, light switches to nothing, two receptacles did not work, no coffee machine, no microwave, only one chair at the desk, no other chair in the room. Fridge not cold at all. And finally, at check in they said there is a $100 deposit required, not announced at booking time

Overbooked the hotel… 1-hr check-in process. Black mold on bad caulking job inside sink. Unswept floor. Stained bathtub mat. HVAC didn’t work. TV didn’t work. Most of the lights worked. Bed was comfortable, electricity was on to outlets… nothing else good to say.

There were no coat hangers no garbage can no plastic glasses in the room or bath room. There was a a patio area with a table and chairs but you can not use it because the doors are sealed shut. Also no alarm clock and no phone to call the front desk. One last thing there was a missing ceiling tile in the bathroom which leaked water. Ill think long and hard before booking with Wyndham again.

Waited 30 minutes to check in with another gentleman was waiting before me because of no front desk clerk.. then when I was charged at deposit of twice the room rate for one night stay which they took their sweet time returning my deposit to my debit card after saying they had responded it and beyond many minute and a couple of days over a week went by then 10 days I had to call corporate to get it put back on . Not to mention that the complimentary breakfast with not available and nothing site would be renovated all the rooms most of the parking spaces were taking up by construction Dumpsters close to the building at the park far away no handicap parking available... Went to do laundry on site and machines were all down... It was quiet at night but during the day all the construction noise they doing any type of work we're concentrating or even trying to enjoy a TV program and possible... I know things need to get done and I've got things to do but being nice and then to have posted online where I made my reservation and paid for prior to arriving that there would be a deposit that Services weren't going to be available like laundry complimentary breakfast and that construction would be noisy an intrusive... Eating all that I could have lived with but when you play with my money and don't return deposits on time and you make me feel like I'm begging for what belongs to me and treat me disrespectful.hung up. so I got a hotel suite across the street. Also a Wyndham Hotel

When I finally got a room 2 and a half hours after I got there it was clean. Person on duty said he would notify cleaning staff to make up the room. I told him I'd be back in an hour. I was gone 2 1/2 hours and the room still wasn't made up or cleaned. The new manager on duty later gave me another room that was ok.

Check in was horrible. Was charged more than the $100 hold, which has still not been put back on my card used. Once checked in, we couldn’t sleep bc of doors slamming, which caused dogs in rooms around us to bark, kids running up and down the halls and people yelling. Impossible to sleep. We ended up just leaving and driving home. Overall wasn’t a Baymont type hotel at all and we were very disappointed.

The guy at the front desk denied we had a reservation and wouldn't look at the confirmation I had on my phone. He said there were no more rooms like the ones we had reserved. We needed them to be accessible with two beds. He tried to switch us to inaccessible rooms that were impossible for someone who is mobility impaired to get to and they were all one bed each. This was during an impending hurricane that we were trying to have a better place to ride out the storm. We had to cancel it. He even denied knowing about Hotels.com but the cancellation was sent via Hotels.com. Liar.

waited over half hour in line - then told early checkin not available anymore. computers supposedly were down which is why the wait was long? (which we understand the line because it was a race day) later came in to checkin and line was long again! lobby itself was dirty, holes in the wall in the dining area, and not very welcoming. seeing how bad the lobby was we figured the room was not going to be much better and decided to cancel and drive the 3.5 hours home.

During my stay at the Baymont Wyndham Daytona Beach FL, I was unfortunately assigned to a room that was already occupied. This posed a safety risk to my family, so we decided to leave and find alternative accommodations.

Staff was friendly

We arrived at the Hotel, there were multiple customers upset with front office due to sending them multiple times to taken rooms. To make it worse they were limited in their language ability. No on my behalf I booked a family room and they had given them all out for the night. They had no rooms left and assisted the front dest on deescalating customers that were very fustrated with hotel. It was very run down and looked very unsafe.

Front desk was awesome. Helped our stay in any way they could.

Beware. This is not a typical Wyndham property. This old building hasn’t been taken care of. The overwhelming smell of cigarettes and marijuana was nauseating. Homeless crowd hanging outside. Did not feel safe leaving at night and will never consider this place again.

They could a renovation and some new paint and other aesthetic upgrades, but overall it was clean, felt safe, and we stayed during a busy festival weekend and the noise wasn't too bad. We walked to restaurants and the speedway. Took us 30 min. to get to the speedway.

Buyer beware! This hotel is a dump . We booked in july on expedia unaware of what we were walking into . The pictures online seemed nice and the price was right . We wrongly assumed the lower price was because of the 30 min drive to the beach (not 16 like what was listed on the web site). We were shocked at what we saw. There was trash everywhere, homeless people with cardboard signs, prostitutes and people using drugs. It appeared people were living there as well. The rooms stunk of mj and the hallway carpets were the nastiest ive ever seen in my entire life. Random men approached us in the parking lot asking for money . I felt so unsafe that i could not stay there. They promised us a refund that was never given. I could understand if we actually stayed there, but for them to charge us for a two night stay when we did not is totally unethical. Im so disappointed that Expedia would have this type hotel on their site. Will never use Expedia or Wyndham ever again..although i doubt either cares.

It was a convenient location for the Daytona 500. Everything was fairly good about the room, except for blood splatter on the ceiling in the bathroom.

Where do we start... We stayed at the Baymont for The Daytona Coke Zero 400 on 24 August 2024. The hotel is around 25 - 30 minutes walk from the speedway. At the time of our stay, the check-in area is the only part of the hotel that has been renovated. As we were checking in, another guest came in and refused the room and found alternative accommodation. The pool area was closed (not sure why), the outside door to our block was unsecured, the air conditioner in the common area hallway was broken and the covers off the unit. We walked into our room and it smelled of cigarette smoke, with cigarette butts on the balcony. The sliding door 'lock' was a piece of square tube to keep it from being opened. The room itself is in dire need of refurbishment - the AC unit was noisy and ran constantly, but at least it ran. The bathroom still had hair in the sink and the tub was dirty. The area itself did not feel safe when we walked back after the race at around 11 - 11:30 at night. We went to the race, walked back, locked the door, woke up early for breakfast and left. For the inflated price we paid because of the race, we felt like we had been taken advantage of. For the price charged, we expected a clean, safe and comfortable room. Until the refurbishments are completed, I suggest this place is AVOIDED LIKE IT WAS THE PLAGUE!! DO NOT be fooled by the picture of the web site, it is only that part that looks like that! $30 - 40/night, OK... $400/night - Definitely NOT!

Great location, nice sized room but building unclean.

Believe the reviews when they tell you it is bad. Dirty, smelly, and all around bad. Only good thing it was miss Lupe, they don’t deserve her. Also breakfast was a joke, and if you want anything to eat make sure you wake up early before the long term resident take all of it to their room. They are very slow to refill even if is with the breakfast hours. If you are with your family STAY AWAY.

Besides the registration and breakfast area, the common areas are severely neglected. The room itself was decent for a good price. The breakfast was surprisingly good with a nice choice of offerings.

This was a horrible experience. I booked a cheap deal with breakfast. When I checked in I realized that: The place looks like a cheap motel, workers are NOT happy or welcoming, trash cans are full, trash on the ground, doors and glasses are broken, my room had a broken patio door n curtains, NO complimentary breakfast as promised, broken bathroom light and more..... Not coming there ever again!!! Shameful!

Not many breakfast options, did not answer the phone when called had to walk to retrieve things to make my tv work.

Ok stay at DAB nothing fancy but good value for price. Breakfast was pastry’s, cold cereal, muffins etc.

hallway reeked of pot. did not have cups for coffee. waffle maker and microwave kicked breaker when using.

This place was severely lacking in maintenance. The shower had rust and mold. There was an extremely large gap under the room door. The hallway smells of mold, the pool and hot tub have been inoperational for years. They really need to update their online listings to reflect this. As terrible as the hotel was, the staff was friendly and helpful.
