I thought it was ok- it works for the night. But if you’re staying several nights this isn’t the most comfortable. The bathrooms are tiny and only have showers unfortunately. There is no ocean view, only a parking lot view. The beds were fine, we didn’t really partake in breakfast. The fireplace was nice and used it all night long. There is no spa or hot tub either. If that stuff is important to you than I would look elsewhere

It needs to be stated. This property does not have air conditioning. That seems like I small thing. It is cool enough to leave the windows open. However, you can hear EVERYTHING from everyone. People yelling from room to room. You name it. Additionally, the beds were not comfortable at all. The positive is that you can park your car in front of your room, and the price was right for the location.

The property is not like the photos! Property is dated but kept up well. There is no a/c which i found strange and definitely a missed amenity. The staff was friendly. Overall it was underwhelming.

It was a comfortable place to stay. no a/C which wouldn't be so bad being on the coast, but the room had no circulation, only window was next to the door, and the ceiling fan was useless. So it got stuffy at night. Everything else was good

I didn't expect the room comes with a suite, with a sofa, a desk, and a small corner table. The room has good cozy lighting and an electric fireplace heater. Both windows have blinds depicting beautiful scenes in the vicinity. The overall ambience far exceeds an average 2-star motel. The free breakfast also exceeds my expectation, better than most other places. The staff is friendly and is willing to help. I plan to come here again with my friends.

It was okay people were nice it was clean and quiet they had free breakfast and they were very polite gave lots of extra towels for showers I just wanted a pool but there was none or hot tub but over all it was fine!

This hotel was not safe to stay in and you should avoid this place at all costs. Black mold in the bathroom, dirty sheets, bugs, old cigarette butts in room, broken window, hole in wall, hair in the shower and sink, people doing drugs in the parking lot, and on and on. We opened the door walked through the room and walked right out. Decided we would be better off losing our money and sleeping in the car down the road. Front desk was unwilling to help with anything and customer service would not help either. I will never stay at a Wyndham property again.

The place was a dump. The online pics have been heavily doctored. They do not represent the condition of the actual room. The floor in the room was filthy. I kept my shoes on while in the room. The headboards on the beds were filthy. Ick factor was through the roof! I checked in at 3pm and the breakfast area in the office was still dirty. When I checked out the following morning the breakfast area had not been prepared and was still dirty. There was someone with a bbq grill in the parking lot and a drunken party going on too. I also feel the need to mention there was a broken down van in the parking lot that someone was living in. I did not feel safe parking/walking in the lot.

The floors of our room were very dirty, which caused us to have to wear shoes the whole time except while sleeping. Our bathroom had a light out, the hot and cold water were switched on the faucet, the shower was rusty, and the bathroom door was damaged in numerous places and did not close.

We booked because it was affordable. Not a dump, but could use some changes. The bed was nice and the sheets were clean, however the towels smelled of cheap detergent and were not soft. The room was mostly clean, but not totally. The floors were awful. We booked here because there was not carpet in the room, but the floor appeared to not have been mopped in a long time. It felt super gritty and it made my socks black instantly. The shower was ok, but the soap and shampoo was obviously the same thing. It smelled like a combination of Pinesol and ant spray. Needles to say I had to buy soap and shampoo for this trip. Oh and they did not come in to replace the towels, and there was not a note saying they only did on request. When I mentioned this they did apologize.

The photographs associated with this listing is significant inaccurate. The property along with the room was outdated, poorly maintained and most disappointing of all unclean and dirty. I was unsettled by the conditions of to the rooms: dirty walls, towels and blankets, bathrooms poorly maintained, lighting and desks were almost falling apart. I settled for a night there as we were tired from a five hour drive. However, I do not recommend this place to any one whose standards of cleanliness are high. Had I truly known the conditions of this hotel I would not have booked a stay. In addition to the cleanliness and conditions, the people staying in the room next to us were incredibly loud in the middle of the night. There was a lack of respect, sense of care and consideration, and that exacerbated our already deflating and disappointing, and perhaps disgusted experience at this hotel. Room was not cleaned at all. Walls in our room are really dirty. Bathroom was also dirty. Rooms was advertised with “ocean view” but all you can is their dirty back yard full of stuff. Glad we were only there for one night. We had the “suite”.

Our room was small, but came with an extra "lounge area" that was a bit weird. Several of the electrical outlets did not function. The heating unit included baseboard heat and a strange wall-mounted fake fireplace that did not stay on when required (it was 48 degrees on June 12).

Felt like our room was a box, got stuck next to the office where management lived extremely loud at night, expected an ocean view room, our ocean view was painted on the shade, also was suppose to have a balcony we did not, couldn't open shades or windows due to lack of privacy! Very highly disappointed

The Baymont Hotel fits into the reasonable / comfortable category. The rooms were updated with the wood laminate floors, which are always better than carpet. Beds were comfortable and not overly soft, which seems to be the trend with hotels. The location is right in the middle of town, so you are close to the main areas with a short drive or a reasonable walk. Overall, if you need a room to sleep at the end of a fun day, the hotel works. Worth the stay and would stay again. Now, the gripes on the stay that are minor. The room lacked power outlets. That may seem like an odd one, but there was only 1 plug in the bathroom and a rather precarious power strip in the room. The 1 outlet on the lap was finky, and we stopped trying to use it. The breakfast was rather sparce and not really more than a snack offering. The internet is horrendous, so don't bother connecting. Last is more on the issues still around covid protocols and not having the room cleaned each day. That is not the hotels fault, but it is still an annoyance to be aware of.

The first room we had, the bathroom fan was not working properly- the staff immediately switched our room for us. The 2nd room was nice, however the desk chair was broken. They advertised a continental breakfast but when I went over to get coffee at 7am, the front door was locked and another guest had already rang the bell and no one came.

What a great place. The owners were friendly and greeted us with chocolate chip cookies. The room was super clean and the grounds well taken care of. You can tell the owners take pride in their property. There was a bar/grill next door with a gorgeous view of the ocean, a convenience store next to that and I'll will stay with them next time we go thru San Simeon. This place is a gem and highly recommend staying here.

I was charged for a no-show although the reservation was never confirmed and a confirmation email was never received. A reminder to check in email was received the night prior; much too late as I had to make another reservation at another hotel for the same night. Maria was patient and helpful upon both check in and check out. We really appreciated her taking a little extra time with us after we arrived while another guest was causing a scene. She was also incredibly patient with that person. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the small electric fireplace was a charming touch. It looks like steps are being taken to upgrade this hotel, and so far that's going well.

Booked for a room, and expected a good trip. To start, it took 30-45 minutes to be checked in as nobody was at the front desk. The woman working the front desk was also cleaning all the rooms. Finally getting checked in, we were offered a different room than what we booked to “offer more rooms for people who want two beds”. We accepted to see the rooms, and upon getting the key card for the room we chose, I opened a door that goes to the boiler room which has another door leading outside. We were told we can only lock the door that connects to our room… Which locks from the outside, meaning there is no security for the room to be locked and anybody could come in if they wanted. Why put people in a room that cannot be locked? We were offered the two bed room, but I did not want to stay nor felt safe staying after being put in a room that they did not allow to be locked.
Booked for a room, and expected a good trip. To start, it took 30-45 minutes to be checked in as nobody was at the front desk. The woman working the front desk was also cleaning all the rooms. Finally getting checked in, we were offered a different room than what we booked to “offer more rooms for people who want two beds”. We accepted to see the rooms, and upon getting the key card for the room we chose, I opened a door that goes to the boiler room which has another door leading outside. The motel is within easy walking distance to downtown, it is clean, and with a friendly and helpful staff. It has all the basic necessities, and we have returned their several times. It's not a five-star high-end type of motel, but considering the price, four stars are definitely deserved.

Our room was clean. Beds were big and comfortable, bathroom was also clean and spacious. Location is also great, close to restaurants and nice beaches. It was quiet at night so we got good sleep, easy and plenty os spots for parking.

Motel is outdated. Price did not match value. Difficult to find parking. Limited parking spots. Paper thin walls. After review, there were several other accommodations that were more affordable and higher quality.

The Baymont Hotel fits into the reasonable / comfortable category. The rooms were updated with the wood laminate floors, which are always better than carpet. Beds were comfortable and not overly soft, which seems to be the trend with hotels. The location is right in the middle of town, so you are close to the main areas with a short drive or a reasonable walk. Overall, if you need a room to sleep at the end of a fun day, the hotel works. Worth the stay and would stay again. Now, the gripes on the stay that are minor. The room lacked power outlets. The first room we had, the bathroom fan was not working properly- the staff immediately switched our room for us. The 2nd room was nice, however the desk chair was broken. They advertised a continental breakfast but when I went over to get coffee at 7am, the front door was locked and another guest had already rang the bell and no one came.

No frills hotel, ok for an overnight stay. Staff was friendly upon check in and check out. When we first got into the room we noticed the floors were a bit sticky, not sure from what. Also to note, there are also metal plates under the beds (I believe to make it look more like a permanent bed structure) which wouldn't have been an issue except when you are walking near the bed your feet keep hitting the metal and it sounds like a loud gong noise every time. We did it about 6 to 8 times in our overnight stay. There was also a sign upon check in that said breakfast from 6:30am to 9:30am but when we went to the lobby at 8am the doors were still locked.

I didn't expect the room comes with a suite, with a sofa, a desk, and a small corner table. The room has good cozy lighting and an electric fireplace heater. Both windows have blinds depicting beautiful scenes in the vicinity. The overall ambience far exceeds an average 2-star motel. The free breakfast also exceeds my expectation, better than most other places. The staff is friendly and is willing to help. I plan to come here again with my friends.

The bed was comfortable. Location was good. They had very basic breakfast, not a lot of choices. There's fridge and microwave which is a must for a family travelling with small kids. I just wish they had a bigger table and chairs and the base of the bed was not made of some kind of tin. Every time we accidentally hit the base of the bed, it makes such annoying sound. Would also recommend to fix their outlet on the lamp for charging phones as it was non-functional. There was also a broken telephone just sitting on the shelf. Overall, I would stay there again if I'm travelling on a budget.

I’ll be honest, once we walked into our room we did not feel safe. There’s no real lock on the doors. And then the bathrooms tile was all messed up. Doesn’t even have a curtain for the shower. Janky is all I can say. Never coming back.

Inexpensive motel. we were able to check in early. Partial language barrier. Person that checked us in appeared to be sick..Beds were comfortable. Breakfast consisted of apples and small waffles only. 2 tables with 4 chairs for 8 people to sit and it was served in the small office. Would not stay again. Would spend more money for a nicer place.
