I believe the rating on Expedia came from a different hotel. That owner purchased the hotel we stayed in. The rooms were crooked, walls slanted, floors, crooked. Room smelled of smoke from years. There was no ice machine, nor could the people called tell us where the ice machine was. There wasn’t one, but they said we could get ice across the parking lot from the lounge which is also owned by the same hotel company. Stay away from this one.

The rooms on the waterfront are spacious and comfortable with the added bonus of watching the seals in the morning. Having an excellent fish-food restaurant upstairs with views of the bay also add to the convenience of the location. I would gladly return again!

This tiny room was pretty clean and comfortable for just sleeping while exploring during the day. Menopause ladies please note! No AC, only a fan. If the weather had been a few degrees hotter I would have been miserable, as it was in the 60’s at night, it cooled down nicely. We felt very safe there and it was pretty quiet. For the price I was satisfied. The fridge freezer box even froze my ice pack for the drive home so that was nice. Check in was no hassle, all online and having a dog was easy with walking grassy areas conveniently near by.

The room was very clean and cozy. The balcony was right on the water and watching the otters play in the morning was a special treat. Many things to do and see within a short walk from the lodge. I’m definitely booking again!

Love this hotel! We stayed in a water front room so we had the harbor view. So fun to watch the fishing boats come and go and watch the sea lions, deer and birds through our binoculars. I gave a few things 4 stars just to give a through review,they are not deal breakers for me but might be for some folks. The room was clean enough but the last night we were there ants showed up. Not a ton but irritating to see a few at a time on the table. There are no cleaning services offered unless you stay 4 nights. But there are plenty of supplies so you dont really need anything. I did my check in/check out online and it was easy. There is a 24 hour # you can call if you need anything. I would have called about the ants if they showed up on day 1. I am an early riser so I was able to open the window blinds and sit at the table with my coffee watching the activities in the harbor. Hotels.com said pets are free but there is a charge for pets which is added when you check in. Over all we had a fantastic time and will be back. My daughter wants to make this our annual mom/daughter destination.

The house is a little old and everything is a little at an angle but the room was cozy and clean. I felt safe all the time and had everything I need. The area around is a harbour area and since I arrived late that night it was quiet. In the morning you can hear that work is going on. I didn't check out the restaurants around since it was late and I wasn't hungry. So, the Anchor Lodge is good for a convienient stop while driving up or down the coast. I can recommend it.

This was fine for a last minute one night stay. Location was good down at NOYO Harbor where you could walk around to shop and dine. We had 2 Queens.Rooms are older, and outdated but most of Fort Bragg motels are..no A/C just a fan that wouldn’t stop oscillating lol and the bathroom shower was so small I couldn’t bend over to wash my feet. Ultimately the beds were extremely comfortable and that was the best thing about the room.

The location is unmatched. It's literally over the water and we watched seals and boats in the morning! Seamless check in, we never saw anyone as we got in late and left early. The negative is walls are paper thin and we heard everything both next to and above us.

This motel is old and it shows. Bare bones kind of place but I was on a budget and they had the lowest price in town. Location is great down in the NOYO harbor. Bed was Amazing, very comfortable, nice newer TV and one of the coldest mini fridges I’ve run across. Harbor light just purchased it and looks like they are doing some updating .

Great location, walking distance to food, dog beach, and a fantastic view. Comfortable and CLEAN room. The walls and ceiling were a little thin, so you can hear your neighbors. There was a raccoon fight outside our room at 1am, and the raccoons kept scurrying around all night. Neighbors upstairs left, and made plenty of noise doing so. Nothing the hotel could have done about it. This is not a luxury stay, but met my expectations and absolutely had wow factor when walking in. Some TLC in the bathroom (replacing sink, counter, bathtub) would be a welcome remodel, but in no way affects the functionality at this point. The bathtub was long enough, but narrow.

The whole building itself appears to lean which is a bit concerning. The self check in was easy. The room was very basic but clean. The surrounding area had loud noises all night including a tone in the harbor that went off every 60 seconds.

Anchor lodge never disappoints!! We had a slight emergency & they were so prompt to take care of our problem & the owner Jim came to take care our emergency personally & compensated us with a gift card for their restaurant "Silvers on the wharf" We always stay here & always have an amazing time! The Harbor is the best place to stay in Fort bragg.

We had to wait 2 hours after check in time to get into the room. We watched one of the housekeepers just sit on a chair and stare at us for over 30 minutes. We were told we would be contacted by a manager in the morning for a partial refund/discount. We were never contacted. The hotel is dated. The door would barely shut and had a huge gap around it. Bedding had holes and burns. We ended up not staying and booking a hotel down the street.

I was a little worried that there wasn’t staff on hand to check us in…etc. but it went seamlessly. The room was comfy and location was great! I was pleasantly surprised and would come again. Letting us know where to get ice was the only small hiccup.

Self check in is a bust. If you arrive and there is an issue with your 4th email that has your confirmation number to the door, there is no front desk as advertised. Tv also comes off and on like clock work every 15 minutes. Had to find a maintenance man who literally just moves the bad cable box from one room to the other.

The location of Anchor Lodge in the Noyo Harbor is excellent with plenty of parking and walking distance to 5 restaurants and a fairly secluded beach. The sloping build style of the building was a little odd and the property is aged, however very clean and comfortable.

We love Anchor Lodge! The rooms are comfy and the view is amazing. The balconies, while lovely right on the water, are not very private. But the fun creatures in the river make up for it and it's worth the stay.

The rooms on the waterfront are spacious and comfortable with the added bonus of watching the seals in the morning. Having an excellent fish-food restaurant upstairs with views of the bay also add to the convenience of the location. I would gladly return again!

Older motel, but clean and very reasonably priced, especially since it is right on the Noyo Harbor. Great restaurant with a full bar right across the parking lot, with a great view of the harbor. I will definitely stay here the next time I visit Fort Bragg!

It was wonderful, we had a view of the water, the sea lions, and the ocean with a beautiful and sun set. The restaurant above had great food. All staff super friendly.

The harbor view room was amazing got to see sea otters and a seal. Lovely view of the sunset. Not to noisy considering the restaurant above the room. Would definitely come back. Plus the restaurant has a dog menu and outdoor seating to enjoy dinner with pups!

I booked the hotel through hotel.com was told one price and then when I got there we were charged a higher price. There is no one there to talk to and no front desk. I told someone at the restaurant who was supposed to pass on my info to someone who could help me, but never heard from them. The room was clean, but not worth the price I was charged (which was even higher than the prices advertised online). A lot of good restaurants within walking distance.

Comfort on the waterfront with a nice bar and restaurant upstairs. Parking is easy, the people are friendly and helpful and the seals happily provide photo opportunities. I would gladly return!

Great stop on our Vacation. Great view of Harbor. Dined at the Wharf, Awesome food. We stayed in room 20. The bathroom light / fan switch is loose. Had to wiggle it to get it to stay on. You should get a Handyman / Electrician to look at it. Loose wiring can start fires. Thanks

Absolutely amazing! Peaceful, relaxing, beautiful view of the river and all of the boats coming and going! And the restaurant was delicious!!! Everyone was very friendly! I had a wonderful birthday weekend there!
