Beautiful property with fantastic views of Sintra. Newly renovated and appointed. Our bed was very comfortable. The room was fantastic, replete with tall windows and shutters, a marble bathroom with a stunning tub and shower. Located just a few minutes walk from center city Sintra where there are bare, restaurants, and shops galore. The only issue is getting into the hotel. The street be is busy in front of the hotel door. If you have a lot of luggage or bags, you’ll have to carefully manage getting them across the street from the parking area. And you have to be very careful not to miss the hotel as you drive the loop to Sintra’s most popular historical sites — the Moorish castle and the National Palace.

the most beautiful view in our travels in Portugal. Breakfast was amazing. Grab a bottle of wine and sit on the terrace but keep the door open it will lock being you. Fantastic location close to the entrance to the 50 minute walk to palace. "pay a cab driver to Bring you up 20 euros" and 12 minutes from the regalaria. parking is tricky and be careful getting in and out of the hotel roads are tight

When you first arrive at the hotel you think “hmm seems a bit close to the road maybe” but once inside and once you see the views and the vibe of the place (and the wonderful friendly staff), you see why it has such good reviews. An ideal location for discovering the magical Sintra by foot. We will be back. Just one note of caution: make sure you park in the spaces on left just before the hotel. If you drive past the hotel then you have to spend 35 minutes going all the way back round to get back to the same parking spaces.

Warm welcome from the owner and comfortable bedroom with amazing views over Sintra towards the National Palace. Well appointed bathroom with powerful shower and standalone bath. Klein, aber fein. Viele Geschäfte/Restaurants zu Fuss erreichbar. Die Villa Bela Vista hat nur 2 Parkplätze zur Verfügung. Einer war extra für uns reserviert, super und danke. Wir können einen Aufenthalt hier nur empfehlen.

Amazing hotel. Gorgeous views. Clean and comfortable. The bathroom was large and eye catching. Breakfast was nice. Staff extremely pleasant. The hotel was at the top of the town so there is some climbing involved. But the steep street right down into town starts 100 feet up the street. Not too bad even for someone walking with a cane. We found an amazing restaurant right around the corner where we had one of the best meals we have ever had-Tacho Real. A lovely interior. Highly recommend the sea bass with almond sauce and mixed salad(was enough for two). We were very glad we stayed here. Small warning: Ubers and other cars from outside the town are not allowed on the street by the hotel. When we arrived we had to walk about 200 feet and when we left we walked down into town to call an Uber.

Absolutely beautiful property and wonderful stay. We booked the "exclusive double room" - a gorgeous room that has the sitting balcony. The view was amazing - the local tour people stop just before the property to admire the view as part of their Sintra tour - it's that spectacular! The parking is challenging, and the property is on a loop - so if you overshoot it you have to go around. We dropped off our rental car before we got to Sintra - easy to walk around to cafes, shops and restaurants The hotel helped us with a local tour guide (Fernando was AMAZING), and a local driver to get us back to the airport. Their breakfast was lovely and the people of Sintra were so warm and friendly - just a fantastic stay!

If you are lucky enough to be able to get a reservation here, grab it! The newly renovated building is stylish and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent. The staff are extremely helpful. And…the view is unparalleled. Best advice: take the train from Lisbon and get a Tuk tuk, bus or Uber up the hill(you can Also walk, if you have good knees and not too much luggage). But please don’t bring a car. There is no place to park and you’ll end up walking everywhere anyway. Try to stay more than one night; there is simply too much to do in Sintra. And, finally, get a nice bottle of wine and enjoy the terrace.

The Villa Bella Vista was wonderful! The room was spacious and spotless. There were very few other guests so we had the terrace all to ourselves. The view could not be better; a perfect place to watch the sunset and listen to the busker playing in front of the palace.

This small boutique hotel was recently built And is beautiful inside and out. Spotless, great location just a short walk to the Centre of Sintra. Awesome views of the surrounding areas including castles and scenery. Highly recommend!!

Basement room. High humidity that was not ameliorated by the HVAC system Spotted some black mould in a corner which was disturbing. Had a hot shower in the morning after a clammy night. Fire alarm went off, noone came and all the staff said was "it nevet happened before". They seemed to suggest that we were smoking or vaping, which we were not. Breakfast start at 830 is convenient for hotel but not for travelers with a train to catch. Beautiful view. Will never be seen again.

Wonderful one night stay in Sintra. Villa Bela Vista is a gorgeous hotel. The owner does a great job & seems to work very hard to make things pleasant for the guests. The rooms are immaculate & the breakfast is amazing. If you get a chance to stay here, you will not be disappointed.

We have our own private Terrace With an incredible view Of the valley below The Castle of the Moors. Our bathroom has heated marble floors! Everything about the room is comfortable and useful. Free bottled water, and a mini fridge with beer and other stuff available for purchase. The breakfast was excellent and we were served coffee, and helped ourselves to the rest of the buffet. The location is very convenient for shopping in Sintra or dining in casual or elegant restaurants. We were only going to stay one night but we're thrilled when our room was available for one more night! It has a nice kitchenette with big sink and coffee maker. The bathroom is modern and has a great shower. We love this hotel!

This property is truly amazing, the view is second to none. Bed, linens, towels are top notch and the free standing tub is just what you need after a long day of walking. Many good restaurants near by and the Breakfast at Hotel is great, loved the fresh fruit and croissants. Staff is very friendly. Check in/out was fast and easy. They have a lovely patio area. Close to city centre, sites and hop on hop off buses. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion provided. Quiet and modern design.

The property staff go out of their way to assist with your needs. The room was wonderful with the added bonus of a beautiful balcony with an exceptional view. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully displayed. A first class experience!

The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms were surprisingly modern and comfortable, without being minimal. The bathroom was large and gorgeous and had a heated marble floor. And the staff was so friendly and helpful and accommodating. Plus a beautiful breakfast service, despite there being fewer than ten rooms total. Altogether, the nicest stay I've ever had in Europe for under $200 euros per night! (Stayed in April, so maybe shoulder-season cheaper rates?)

The property is beautiful and beautifully decorated, and our room was spacious and very comfortable. Our suite included a mini-kitchen area with a refrigerator, microwave and dishes and utensils, together with a small fold-out table and chairs which came in handy for storing food for our departure before the breakfast hour started. The breakfast was outstanding so we were sad to miss it on our last morning, and the property manager was very pleasant and provided lots of recommendations of restaurants and things to do and see. I highly recommend Villa Bela Vista. Its one drawback is that it is a little difficult to reach from the town, due to Sintra's system of one-way streets. It was about a 7 euro cab ride from the train station. When leaving, we rolled our suitcases down pedestrian streets to the main square in the old town and were able to catch a taxi there. We didn't have a car for which we were grateful: traffic is heavy and I don't know if the Villa has any parking available.

I highly recommend Villa Bela Vista. Its one drawback is that it is a little difficult to reach from the town, due to Sintra's system of one-way streets. It was about a 7 euro cab ride from the train station. When leaving, we rolled our suitcases down pedestrian streets to the main square in the old town and were able to catch a taxi there. We didn't have a car for which we were grateful: traffic is heavy and I don't know if the Villa has any parking available.

Our stay at Villa Bela Vista was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Portugal. From the moment we arrived, Eva and her sister Melicia went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Their hospitality was unbelievable — truly some of the best service we've ever experienced. One very helpful tip: the villa reserves two parking spots just up the street (look for cones on the left-hand side as you're driving in). If you miss the parking, you'll end up driving all the way up the mountain and having to loop back down — so keep an eye out! When we had trouble, Eva literally stood in the spot to help us park. She was not only helpful but incredibly friendly and gracious. The rooms are beautiful, with elegant touches and very comfortable beds. We were lucky enough to have a room with a gorgeous view of the Royal Palace — it felt like something out of a dream. Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious: a lovely fruit tray, scrambled eggs, fresh bread, and yogurt with toppings. Everything was beautifully presented and prepared with care. If you're planning a trip to Sintra, do not miss the chance to stay here. Villa Bela Vista was easily one of our favorite experiences in Portugal, and we would return in a heartbeat. I’ve never used the word exquisite to describe a stay, but exquisite perfectly describes villa Bela Vista! Alexandra, the owner and host, has prepared a truly lovely place to stay in Sintra. Our room overlooked the center of the city snd was spotless and comfortable in every way. The bathroom is fabulous with beautiful gray and white marble. Because our planned tour started before the normal breakfast hour, Alexandra provided breakfast early to meet our needs. Breakfast included a variety of fruits, breads, scrambled eggs, And freshly squeezed juice. Truly a delightly stay!

Location is great. It’s just steps from the bus route to bring you to all the castles. And easy (but hilly) walking to all restaurants. The staff is amazing. It was our first time in Sintra so we had some questions and the staff was so helpful! They made suggestions, ensured we knew where to go and ordered our taxis for us. The included breakfast was AMAZING! The orange juice was fresh squeezed, the fruit was fresh and presented beautifully. Definitely a high-end breakfast. Our room was perfectly clean. It seemed like it was renovated fairly recently. Highly recommend this place!

Everything was perfect. The receptionist lady was so nice and helpful. Guided us on tours. Made parking arrangements a breeze. Room was so beautiful. Portuguese marble everywhere and upscale fixtures. View was beyond amazing. They also made us an individual breakfast. Fresh fruits, delicious eggs, bread basket, fresh juice and more! Wish we could have stayed longer!

If you are lucky enough to be able to get a reservation here, grab it! The newly renovated building is stylish and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent. The staff are extremely helpful. And…the view is unparalleled. Best advice: take the train from Lisbon and get a Tuk tuk, bus or Uber up the hill(you can Also walk, if you have good knees and not too much luggage). But please don’t bring a car. There is no place to park and you’ll end up walking everywhere anyway. Try to stay more than one night; there is simply too much to do in Sintra. And, finally, get a nice bottle of wine and enjoy the terrace.

This is an ideal hotel when visiting Sintra. It is a short walk downhill to the town center and a short walk to paths up to the Moorish Castle and Pena Palace. The hotel is immaculately clean and our room had a very comfortable king-sized bed. The view out our window overlooking the palace in the heart of Sintra was lovely. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. The concierge was exceedingly helpful with directions and advice. Two considerations, neither the hotel’s fault: Sintra is an old town built on the side of a hill. The streets are narrow and parking extremely limited—I suggest you take a Bolt/Uber to the hotel and not bring a car. The beauty of Sintra is most easily enjoyed by foot, which means climbing up and down steep streets or paths. You can certainly get around by tuk-tuk or other means, but wear your walking shoes! I highly recommend this hotel.

This location was perfect! Only a 5 minute walk to downtown historic Sintra, and walking and hiking distance to Pena Palace, the Moors Castle, as well as Quinta da Regaleira! Great Breakfast too! (Only wish they started serving a bit earlier!)

Great property, great staff and great complimentary breakfast. Room was modern, clean and quiet. Easy walk to heart of tourist area in Sintra. Easy walk to Moorish Castle and Pena Palace trailhead (if you plan to walk to those sights.) If not walking, bus stop is 300 meters from hotel. 15 minute walk from hotel to train station. Very happy with everything and recommend highly. We cant speak for those driving as we rode the train in.

Amazing hotel. Gorgeous views. Clean and comfortable. The bathroom was large and eye catching. Breakfast was nice. Staff extremely pleasant. The hotel was at the top of the town so there is some climbing involved. But the steep street right down into town starts 100 feet up the street. Not too bad even for someone walking with a cane. We found an amazing restaurant right around the corner where we had one of the best meals we have ever had-Tacho Real. A lovely interior. Highly recommend the sea bass with almond sauce and mixed salad(was enough for two). We were very glad we stayed here. Small warning: Ubers and other cars from outside the town are not allowed on the street by the hotel. When we arrived we had to walk about 200 feet and when we left we walked down into town to call an Uber.

Absolutely beautiful property and wonderful stay. We booked the "exclusive double room" - a gorgeous room that has the sitting balcony. The view was amazing - the local tour people stop just before the property to admire the view as part of their Sintra tour - it's that spectacular! The parking is challenging, and the property is on a loop - so if you overshoot it you have to go around. We dropped off our rental car before we got to Sintra - easy to walk around to cafes, shops and restaurants The hotel helped us with a local tour guide (Fernando was AMAZING), and a local driver to get us back to the airport. Their breakfast was lovely and the people of Sintra were so warm and friendly - just a fantastic stay!

Wonderful breakfast with eggs made to order and bread basket/fresh fruit,coffee,fresh squeezed orange juice brought to the table…many other options at a self serve table.. my room had 2 walkouts. Lots of sitting areas to admire marvelous view and kitchenette. Walkable to many tourist attractions and just a couple hundred feet from shops and restaurants. Be prepared to walk uphill downhill everywhere and there’s no sidewalks. Many people use those Trekking or Nordic poles… if you have any balance issues or just like that style of walking, it’s a great place to apply it.

Rarely you get breakfast made to order with freshly baked basket of bread, and freshly sweets juice as most hotels let alone a boutique premise. I have to do zoom meetings and the Wi-Fi is blazing fast ( It was during off season so I am probably the few guests at the time). Alexabdra have us amazing restaurant recommendations that are already within the list of places I have decided to find within my one week in sintra (Incomune and Romarico de Baco we're the top two restaurants all within 5 minutes and 13 minutes waiting distance).

Basement room. High humidity that was not ameliorated by the HVAC system Spotted some black mould in a corner which was disturbing. Had a hot shower in the morning after a clammy night. Fire alarm went off, noone came and all the staff said was "it nevet happened before". They seemed to suggest that we were smoking or vaping, which we were not. Breakfast start at 830 is convenient for hotel but not for travelers with a train to catch. Beautiful view. Will never be seen again.

Outstanding setting and beautiful furniture and design. Very spacious everything brand new and the breakfast was memorable. Don’t stay anywhere else in Sintra. This is unbeatable.
