Couldn’t get into the building. It was a terrible neighborhood. Attempted to contact management, they only spoke French. There is no management on the property. **Do Not Stay Here*+

Stayed 2 nights

My friend and I weren’t able to access our room; there isn’t anyone on-site, and doors are operated by code. We got in the front with no problem, but our room door code didn’t work. We called and were told to try a physical key from an unlocked lock box, and we did try, but after many attempts we couldn’t do it. On the phone they just kept saying “turn the key harder.” Finally they said they would send someone to try the door, but by then we weren’t comfortable because we couldn’t trust we would be able to ever enter, and we didn’t feel safe with the idea of struggling with this at night. We were on vacation and there was nowhere to securely leave our bags, so we left. A man arrived 50 minutes later, and they offered no refund since he was able to get the door open. Maybe the room itself was fine, but I would recommend staying somewhere else with staff on site who can be helpful — or with doors that work.

I would not book or recommend this room to anyone. The air quality was terrible and moldy, which is a serious health hazard. The bathroom has no ventilation or window, and the door has a large gap (serving as the handle). This traps moisture in the bedroom and likely causes the moldy air. The bathroom door is also completely see-through, offering no privacy for showering or using the toilet. The photos on Expedia are misleading: the room looks fresh and modern online, but in reality, it’s old and dirty. The walls and floor were very dirty as well. We stayed in two different places in Paris, and this was by far the worst (I couldn’t wait to leave). The worst part is that we paid more for this stay, expecting good quality. The only positive was the electrical setup: from the bed, you could control the lights, and each side had outlets for USB, USB-C, and standard plugs. But that small convenience isn’t worth risking your health. Other issues: no A/C (just a fan), and a large air purifier was left turned off. Even when we tried using it, it barely improved the air quality.

The room is great, but when the outside temperature is high, sleeping with the windows open is noisy, and the airco is noisy too.

The location was very convenient to Notre Dame and the Louvre. It was clean and the breakfast was good. The lady who managed the location was friendly and very responsive (but note to travelers that she speaks only French). One star deducted on the property only because the staircase was not well lit and it was not immediately apparent where the light switches were.
