This hotel is quaint, but could be improved. There weren't any laundry machines on site. No continental breakfast. To speak to the hotel manager/front desk, you have to talk through a window: clearly safety has been an issue in this place in the past...possibly still. The first room I was in (117) had issues: noisy a/c, broken chair, damage to the bathroom door--wouldnt close, traffic throughout the night, and a ceiling that leaked when the room above took a shower. Good: The bed was comfortable and it was clean. I reported the leak to the front desk and they moved us to room 111. It was further from the road, so less issues with road noises. This room was clean, but the bed was hard and uncomfortable. Neither room had any place to put our clothes, so we were living out of our suitcases. We went swimming in the evening at the pool. To my chagrin, there was some kind of trash in the pool (napkins), at the bottom bugs, dirt, feathers, hair. The jets on the pool weren't turned on. The following day, we did see someone cleaning it in the morning, but I doubt it had been cleaned on a while. The price of the hotel was reasonable for what it offers. (We paid about $800 for a 12 night stay.) The neighborhood: There were a few unhoused individuals in the area, but no one bothered us. The gas station was very conveniently next door with the lowest gas prices in the area. Molly Brown's Restaurant was also next door. The food was very good, but on the slightly more pricey side.
