A little tricky to find, as it is right by a couple other hotels and the GPS might not pick it up well. Much of the parking is on a slope, and the flatter parking areas fill up quickly. Your are obstructed by turning left onto the property if you coming on McKnight road that direction, so you either have to drive a couple miles past it and then turn nack, or your GPS will take you on to some very narrow, windy, easily missed side streets in order to bring you to a point where you can turn left onto McKnight to get right by the hotel. It is clean and very nice price. Also, if you are a church person and there on a Sunday, there is a large evangelical church within a block, basically right on connected properties you can easily walk to.

Upon arrival, I switched rooms twice due to the horrible conditions of the rooms. Missing everything from towel holders, mirrors, lampshades, blinds, and even pillowcases for the bed. I was forced to stay here only because work booked this location. I purchased my own set of bed and bathroom Lenin! The sheets had stains and cigarette holes in them, the comforter was even worse! So deplorable! The third floor has a leaking sprinkler head that had been dripping for so long that it has made an indention through the carpet. No smoke alarm and the carpet in the hallways is straight out of a horror film! The people surrounding the property in the early morning and late evenings are scary. No family should stay here with children or single ladies!!! This faculty and its ratings need a better evaluation! The only positive is the front desk gentleman is kid and seems to be forced to deal with the conditions. V

The first time we stayed at this location it was mostly okay, but when we went to bed we noticed our sheets were stained. We couldn’t tell if they were dirty or just stains. We called the front desk and they told us we could come down and get an extra set. We stayed again this past weekend and the experience was not good. The room smelled of either smoke or animals waste, the door to the bathroom was broken and didn’t have the parts to actually keep the door closed, the shower curtain and towel rack were broken out of the wall and tape was holding the towel rack. There was a used tampon on the floor under the sink, the bathroom mirror was shattered on the one corner, and the curtains had suspicious splatter staining.

The room was stained on the floor and walls.The sheets were stained with nail polish, there was holes in the thing blanket, no blackout curtain. There wasn’t even a smoke sector. When asked to change rooms was told no other rooms were available even though there were barely cars in the parking lot. Customer service was terrible when stating there wasn’t even a smoke detector got told that “we don’t smoke in rooms”. Smelt like weed and cigarettes in the room and hallway. Would not stay again

Awful stains everywhere, including the hallways. Smelled like cigarettes & pets. Dressers & cabinets were broken, missing pieces. Cigarette burns in sheets. Stains on walls. Headboard was broken. Definitely would not recommend. I would go out of my way to recommend someone stay elsewhere.

I ended up not even staying and booking a hotel elsewhere for the night. The first room they put me in had take out all over the counters and the bed was stained. The second one they tried to give me the bedding was undone when I went in with a soaking wet towel on the bed. Both had clearly not been cleaned. I left after that and booked a hotel elsewhere.

Literally woke up to use the restroom at 4 am and found a roach in the bathroom. On top of the tub not draining and the sheets being dirty I would not recommend this place at all.

Even though I booked a room 5 months in advance, I got a room facing the elevators listening to people come and go all night. In the bathroom, the ceiling fan cover was hanging loose and after I took a shower the tub didn’t drain. Also I had no cup for water in the bathroom.

The initial room had no chair in it, but the receptionist at the desk changed my room, and I had no further issues. I had a good computer chair, a comfortable bed, and quiet air conditioning. Plenty of space to store clothes too. I was particularly happy about the bathroom. The shower was well lit, had a good shower head, and the water stayed a consistent temperature. I also got a quiet room, away from any noisy washing machines, but still close to the elevator. The hotel is 6 miles from downtown Pittsburgh, so it's cheap and quiet. All told, I was very pleased by the hotel.

I was skeptical to stay due to some of the reviews, but, it was adequate for what I needed. I really only needed a place to sleep while my husband was in the hospital. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The room was clean. I had little interaction with staff. There is an ice machine but no water. No microwave in the room. No WiFi either. I would stay again.

I was specifically looking for a cheap hotel without the prices of downtown, and I had stayed at this hotel about six times or so over the year, with mixed results, so I knew what I was getting into and what risks I was taking to get this hotel. Fortunately, in 2024, all the major issues that I care about were fixed, and I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. Let me run through a few: *Wi-Fi. This time, the Wi-Fi was working perfectly. I'm a computer nerd and having good, strong, consistent Wi-Fi when I stay at a hotel is important to me. Back when I stayed there in 2022, the Wi-Fi kept dropping, and I had to rely on my much slower smartphone hotspot for any Internet connection at all. This time I had no trouble, and was getting about 10 Mbps download consistently. I had no trouble getting connected or staying connected the entire stay, and I'm quite pleased that issue was fixed. *Computer chair. In years past the chair was missing or broken, necessitating me asking the lobby for a chair, which meant making do with some kitchen chair they had around. This time, my room came with a working, clean, comfortable computer chair. There's a 1500 character limit here, so that's all I have room for.

We were unable to stay because Red Roof did not have a room ready one hour after our scheduled check in time. As a matter of fact, a room did not become available until 3 hours 15 minutes AFTER we were scheduled to check in. They called us at 6:15 p.m. to let us know the room was ready. By then we had already found another place to lodge. This situation was extremely unprofessional especially since we had driven several hours due to a death in our immediate family and we were tired and despondent. In my opinion, the desk clerk was very rude to us because we were upset that a room wasn’t ready. He acted as though we should not be disturbed and that we should wait for a room no matter how long it took. We WILL NOT BOOK THERE AGAIN. If the credit card has been charged, we want a FULL refund.

Arrived at 2:30 took all my info and then was told I couldn’t check in till 3. Which was fine. Came back at 3 took all my info again and asked if I just wanted my key card or did I wanna go to my room. Being that I had been traveling I just wanted to go to room to relax for a bit. Was then told room wasn’t clean and I needed to come back in 30 min. Sooooo just sat in car for 30 min went back in. Took all my information again. Then said I wouldn’t have a TV. Employee was apologetic but very frustrating to say the least.

Waited ringing the bell for 20 min at the front desk. The lobby was dark and no one was there looked abandoned . No one ever came to check me in so I left after a while. Area is also not good , very sketchy. This whole thing is a SCAMMMMM. Don’t book , never got my money back even tho this hotel shouldn’t be on the market .

We didn't even stay. We checked in and went to see the room and never went back. Located in an area that we didn't feel safe. 2 smoke detectors were removed from the base. Everything smelled so weird it gave me a headache. Money we just wasted.

This property has two other properties kind-of adjacent to it and those properties are an extended stay and a hotel that (seemingly) recently changed management. There is a bus stop adjacent to the property. Nothing wrong with that, but just making future guests are aware, so you're not surprised by the folks waiting (as we were). Our room room (shower & bed) was clean.

The hotel was clean and the room was clean. However there were no towels and no soaps in the room. While the front desk did provide them and all of the linens were far from being white and clean LOOKING as well as multiple sewn rips/tears in sheets.Hair dryer missing. Bathroom lighting was VERY poor as well as the exhaust fan very loud. No breakfast of any kind provided, not even coffee in the lobby area and no coffee makers in room.

Front desk was rude at check in. Room and hallway smelled. Mini fridge didn't wook and had horrible smell. Hair on bathroom floor. Minimal towels, soaps and no kleenex. No breakfast what so ever. Inconvenient acess from hotel to resturaunts. Noisy street.
