Hotel L'Orologio Roma - WTB Hotels

Clean, well appointed hotel with pleasant & helpful staff. We arrived early & they provided both a changing area & sitting area to rest. One elevator (we never waited more than a minute or so). 5th floor bar/lounge with a view of the pantheon roof and other iconic locations + charming rooflines . We did not have drinks there but did avail of the daily breakfast, which had a very decent selection . My fiancé has celiac and was full after breakfast (it’s not a chintzy continental breakfast full of fluff and puff pastries). Breakfast servers were exceptionally friendly and quick footed with the coffee! I thought The rooms were great, perhaps a little small if you’re expecting an American hotel room but FULL of storage space (two large built ins) . bright lighting in room and bathroom (very much appreciated by those of us dealing with makeup!) with controls for dimming and shutting off next to the bed. Bed, however, is very hard. I woke up stiff. AMAZING water pressure in the shower. Turn down service every evening where they put your slippers next to the bed (charming). Centrally located, short walk to piazza navona /pantheon/trevi fountain. Bus stop right next to front door which made our trips very convenient (and also made it easy to pop in for siesta or dinner changes). FYI if you have a car it’s in ZTL and they didn’t seem to be able to register plates with police so you can drop off/pickup luggage.

The room was excellent: spotless, quiet and peaceful with a very beautiful terrace with great views. Staff and amenities were extraordinary! The location of the hotel is unbeatable, walking distance to all major attractions!! The rooftop bar lounge has 360 degrees views of all Rome and the breakfast was delicious. We will come back for sure !

Given bottom floor room on the ground floor which faces directly on to a busy road with significant road noise. Good location and great rooftop view and breakfast. Gym a bit disappointing with one treadmill and one seated bike.

Its an average hotel with a excellent location and a Rome city centre price tag. The standard rooms are very very small, almost too small to be comfortable. Our room had a window which opened in to an elevator shaft which meant we could not open the window for fresh air and we had to keep the curtains closed. The main hotel lift was also an issue. We used the stairs most of the time because it was slow to arrive or filled with staff, trolleys or maintenance workers. I am afraid this hotel's reputation is mainly due to the roof top bar. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had limited choice and was of average quality.

Excellent location close to Trevi. Cab to Vatican and Coliseum walk home with lots of gas in the tank for evening adventures. Super helpful, welcoming staff. Hey, Lilly. A wonderful hotel in the heart of Rome. We walked everywhere. Delicious morning breakfast served on the roof in the morning and wonderful cocktail bar up there at night. I would stay here again.

We had a very large beautiful room. The decorative ceiling molding was amazing. The rooftop restaurant for breakfast and dinner was excellent. The views from the roof rooftop were spectacular

Staff friendly room well maintained. House keeping as if by magic your towels were changed even put slippers out in evening for you, all without you ever seeing them. You wouldn't of known you were in the centre and everything as hotel had very good sound proofing make night time relaxing enough to recharge for the next day. Only downside for me was lack of restaurant space as for breakfast the bar was used which was too small for breakfast as everyone seemed to arrive around the same time.

This hotel is perfectly located. We walked everywhere. The hotel was very clean. They cleaned our room twice per day. We stayed on the first floor and found it very quiet. The staff were all nice and friendly. Breakfast was good with a beautiful rooftop view of the city. We had apertivo on the rooftop and enjoyed it as well.

Unfortunately, this hotel is not entirely as advertised. Our room, bed and bathroom were fine, but there was a nasty big black mold stain on our bathroom ceiling. When we addressed the issue, they did move us to another room, but it’s confusing how they could miss such a massive black mold. The roof bar/patio is really lovely, but you can only use it until 10:30am, and after 5:30. They also rent it out for private events which are loud and annoying. The location is close enough to almost every attraction, but the street is quite ugly and garbage trucks early in the morning are super loud. The front desk staff are pretentious and not all speak very good English. Breakfast buffet is decent. None of it worth $800/night.

The hotel offers an excellent location, outstanding cleanliness, and a very helpful staff. It fully met our expectations for our three-day visit to Rome.

I would say my stay at this hotel was the worst part of my trip. Luxurious hotel on a busy road. The manager said their rooms are sound proof: NOT. You hear even the laughter of people passing by from second floor. The hotel is located on a very busy road, four lanes, main transportation area. Internet is nonexistent. No service. Our bathroom got flooded after using the shower once, they said it is the drain, they came and cleaned it and the shower was still leaking water into the bathroom. We had to put towels everywhere. Rooftop bar was nice, breakfast passable, weird: they have salt and pepper in paper bags like you would see in a fast food chain. I would not stay in this hotel ever again.

The hotel is clean and the staff is outstanding. I would stay there again if in the area, and definitely recommend.

I am a stickler for cleanliness. I should say i was very impressed with our rooms and bathrooms. Their cleaning crew do a great job. They have turn down service as well. I love that they give slippers during your stay too. One thing we really appreciate is the hotel's walking distance to all important sites like the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Trajan's Column etc. We also appreciate that the front desk communicates very well. We hired a car through the hotel to pick us up from the airport to the hotel. This is a must do. Gave us peace of mind with our many luggages. The only downside is the airconditioning in our room which is bigger is not cold enough. I will definitely stay here again and tell friends and family about this wondeful hotel.

Hotel was great! Very clean, great room, good English-speaking staff. Walked to the Colosseum, Pantheon and many other sites. Great restaurants within a block or two. Safe location day and night. Definitely Recommend!

Beautiful hotel, staff were amazing and helpful with whatever you needed! Room service was fantastic, twice a day they would check if you needed anything and always provided fresh towels and toiletries

The location was ideal for walking to alot of the sights. The room was definitely not as described and photos seemed a bit misleading with the size of the bed and room. The room was a bit dusty but bathroom was clean, as Expedia VIP we did receive a bottle of sparkling wine. We would have stayed at a few other VIP locations with lesser ratings but much much better service and upgrades. The bell staff and restaurant staff were very nice and helpful. All in all for the price point was not up to par.

Läget var toppen. Nära till allt i centrala Rom. Fräsch och god frukost som intogs på mysig takterass. Rummet var dock väldigt litet och det var inte mycket golvyta runt sängen. Rummet såg betydligt större ut på bilderna än i verkligheten. Även väldigt små sängbord. Badrummet däremot var stort, fräscht och rymligt. Belysningen i rummet var jobbig då stark taklampa över sängen var kopplad till de mindre sidolamporna. Ingen dimmer fanns. Den automatiska belysningen i garderoben var också jobbig då den tändes starkt vid passage en kort stund, men sen slocknade direkt. Hyfsat ljudisolerat ut mot gatan, men väldigt lyhört ut mot korridoren och mellan våningarna. Hissen i hotellet var långsam och det tog tid att komma upp till frukosten på takterassen eller till våningsplanet där vi bodde. Mysigt hotell överlag med hög servicenivå, men jag hade nog önskat något mer med tanke på priset.

The hotel is modern, and the staff tried to accommodate requests. They were for the most part polite and even helpful when it came to my companion's mobility issues. The breakfast crew in particular was lovely. The view of Rome from the rooftop cafe was wonderful. The rooms, however, were a mixed bag. They were overly warm (with no air conditioning in May), and they also are a bit dark, although the shower was excellent.

We loved our stay here. The triple room was clean, comfortable and roomy and perfect for my family of 3. I can’t imagine having a better location, we were within a short walk to everything we wanted to do. The breakfast at the rooftop restaurant was a highlight.

Room was a good size with a clean, recently modernised bathroom. Staff were always helpful and courteous. Good location in central Rome.

Great hotel, great location and rooms are very nice, clean and updated. Only issue is that rooms are small. Not a big deal but noticeable.

Excellent service, excellent breakfast! Very clean but extremely small rooms, “Japanese” size. No soundproofing whatsoever, you can hear next door neighbour sneezing, breathing heavy, or snoring.

Perfect location, walkable to all the spots. Room was small, don’t think they hide that. Bed and pillows not top notch. Rooftop restaurant/bar was very nice. Hotel was very cute. You stay here for the location, rooftop, and it’s nicely appointed.

Hotel cancelled on us less than 24 hours prior to our arrival via email, no follow up was made! I checked my junk email and saw the email 6 hours before we were due to fly! They put us in a new hotel which we also had to be moved from due to a sewage leak in our room!

The location of the property is excellent. The friendliness of the staff was much appreciated. It was a comfortable stay and I would certainly recommend the property to others.

The staff are not helpful at all. I was begging them just to change 1 day of my booking they didnt even bother to listen to me! More than 5 times and nothing happened! My reservation is non changeable, biggest joke ever!

The worst customer service I ever had not even trying. They have a manager in duty but they tell you no manager today. All attitude!

We needed a cab to the airport at 4:00. We made arrangements with the staff the night before and were assured that it was taken care of. When we arrived at the lobby at 4:00, it was news to the morning staff. Apparently our request had been completely ignored.

We could not be more satisfied with our stay at Hotel L'orologio. All of the staff there - especially Marco, Roberto, and David - were incredibly helpful during our stay. They helped with many things during our stay to help relieve anxiety, including making arrangements for transportation. Everyone was so accomodating. Breakfast was wonderful, room was clean, attention to detail amazing. Great location near the Pantheon. Would stay there again when visiting Rome without a second thought.

Perfect central location to see all that Rome offers. Front desk staff were uniformly helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. The wait staff for the included morning breakfast were also excellent. Rooms were comfortable with great shower pressure. Overall great.

Hotel staff was fantastic! They booked me dinner reservations before we got there making the everything so easy. Rooms/bathrooms were great and could easily walk to the sights.

Great location for getting to sought-after sites. Basically, midway between the Vatican and Colosseum (20 mins to each). As the hotel is a block away from a taxi stand, the staff can get you in a cab in 5 mins. Speaking of staff, they were extremely friendly, helpful, and responsive, be it the front desk, rooftop bar restaurant, or room. The room architecture was fantastic; brought elements of the Roman days into the experience. The bathroom stone work was fantastic, leaving me wanting to upgrade my own house bathroom! Breakfast was very good and offered a wide variety of food, sure to please everyone. Just had to figure out the daily 15 euro charge I found on my bill; seem to think that it was the morning coffee/tea that we ordered at breakfast each day? Would stay there again in the future. Note, just a few blocks away is the Pantheon with a ton of restaurants and shops, which we discovered while there

Truly beautiful hotel. Room was excellent, bed was super comfortable. Hotel was spotless. Breakfast was good and ample. Staff was attentive to all requests. The hotels location was also great being located only a 20 minute walk to to most historic sights. My only suggestion to everyone is to visit in. Spring time or Fall. Because the summer is brutal temperatures ranged between 98 and 105 durning our stay.

The hotel was such a good choice! Very convenient location and walking to the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, Vatican, and the Colosseum was very doable. Also super close to Campo del Fiori and Piazza Navona which had a variety of stores and dining options especially for night owls. Our stay came with breakfast at the hotel rooftop. Great breakfast options! And the staff were so friendly. Special shoutout to Oliver at Hotel L’Orologio! Made our stay such a memorable one.

The property is in the center of everything. The Pantheon is a brief 5 minute walk away. The Trevie Fountain is 20 to 25 minutes away. Spanish steps is the same distance away.

First of all, the location of the hotel is perfect to walk to most landmarks. The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hotel L’Orologio and hope to be back again.

Excellent hotel. Great location with easy walk to most attractions. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Very close to Piazza Navona and Campo Fiori. Family room had clean large rooms and bathrooms with high ceilings. Tasty breakfast on a beautiful rooftop patio with good variety of foods and some gluten free options. Excellent cappuccino. 10 minute walk to excellent gluten free bakery. Staff were friendly. Rooftop patio great for drinks and relaxing at end of day. Highly recommend this hotel. Amazing breakfasts and gorgeous views from the rooftop breakfast area/bar. Large walk-in shower. Room was spacious. The staff was helpful. Easy to find, but a very busy street. Walking distance (1 mile) to both the Colosseum and the Vatican. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Great hotel! Service/staff was excellent, rooms were impeccably cleaned, recent refurb done all over this hotel was done with the highest quality appliances, beds, bathroom, etc, etc. Wifi was fast and reliable. Rooftop bar/restaurant with great views of Pantheon. Limited but good dinner menu, Breakfast however was simply fantastic.

Wonderful two night stay to wrap up our trip. It is located brief walks to major attractions. Hotel is a work of art. Beautiful, immaculately kept with courteous and helpful staff. The rooftop restaurant and bar was perfect with good food and wonderful staff

This hotel was great - a really nice property. However, the one disappointment was the breakfast. At first, it looks like it's an amazing buffet - but the food was not fresh. The fruit was mush - they cut it up and it's mushy and old - but they just keep reserving it all week! I'd expect more for the price of the hotel.

Great location and spectacular roof top bar for breakfast. Breakfast choice is limited but will do for the whole day of walking in Rome. My room is very good, it is in very busy neighborhoods, so noise is expected

The hotel was absolutely amazing !! Beautiful and the AC was amazing my favorite part being the roof top restaurant with amping views even better drinks delicious food and wonderful service! The breakfast was so good as well!! Would definitely stay again if ever is Rome!!
