Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Grand Rapids Near Downtown

The hotel is old, outdated, dirty, and smelled like weed the whole time we were there. The tile in the shower is saturated with mildew, and the tub is worn through the glaze in areas. Lot's of screaming and shouting could be heard throughout the night. Do not stay here!!

The floor didn't look like it had been vacuumed/swept. There was a hole in the bathroom door like someone had punched it. There were some unidentifyable stains on the floor. The sheets were not really clean. We checked out as soon as we could.

Dirty and stained carpet; dirty shower (others pubic hair on tile and side of tub), door was open upon arrival (safety concern).

I booked online because I had a morning engagement. I arrived and the desk clerk checked us in o.k. Then I went up to the room and the hallways were filled with Marijuana. Whent in the room, went to get a coffee and there was only one caffeine coffee and two decaf. In other Days Inns its the other way around. The coffee pot leaked water all over the table instead of the cup. The refrigerator in the room did not work. I went down stairs to see if I could get a coffee. The coffee dispensed water. Then I sat in the dining area and I noticed a very strong odor of Marijuana. I looked outside and the desk clerk is smoking a Marijuana joint with her boyfriend. The next morning I got up at 5:00 AM and went down stairs at 6:00 AM specifically to get a cup coffee and the so call continental breakfast and the coffee pot again did not work. I then went to the front desk and let the desk clerk know about this and she took an attitude and then called "housekeeping". Housekeeping did not answer the phone. She stated to me that, ""housekeeping" would be down at 7:30 AM" and dismissed me and my concern. Last straw! Never will stay in that getto dive again!

Probably one of the worse places I've stayed. It was dirty, smelled, the bathroom shower was busted. When I asked if they could change my sheets I was brought the sheets to change my own bed. The staff and the mates lingered in the lobby and smoking section. The ladies at the desk were at least pleasant when we came to the desk.
