Unfortunately, you have to pay $30 extra for valet parking as there is no parking lot. Pool was closed at time of stay. Hotel was clean, staff was nice. Very close to many dinner options and the State Theater is right across the street.

Very nice hotel but the parking situation is horrible. $33 per night to valet or park in a garage that charges by the hour those are your only options here. All the streets have metered parking with time limits. If you stay here add $33 per night minimum to your stay. I stayed 3 nights and paid $100 just to park here. Other then that it was a nice place and friendly staff. This needs to be posted on hotels.com website this is not a small charge : (

The hotel looks nice on the outside but the rooms are outdated and not nice. The shower head kept falling down, the TV had a blue light effect and it was off. I had to put sheet over so we could sleep without the blue light illuminating the room. The gym equipment was minimal, inside pool had strong chlorine smell. There is no parking at hotel but valet price was $10 more expensive then garage next door. I would not stay here again.

The gym was really disappointing. Old, incomplete and in disrepair. I pointed this out to a manager who said someone would be up. They never came while I was. The rest of the hotel does not really live up to the hotels implied quality- very average at best.

The location is a bit tricky to find. The property itself is situated in the heart of a great restaurant and entertainment district and features amazing amenities like fine dining and spa. What truly makes this location special is the people. The staff here are always warm and friendly and willing to help. We have enjoyed multiple stays here and look forward to coming back.

THEY DON’T CLEAN THE ROOMS. When I got to my room I saw that the fridge had somebodies leftovers in it. Later that night I pulled down the sheets to go to bed and there was blood on the bottom sheet. It was very late and I was tired so I went to sleep. I was checking out the next day and told the front desk and showed them a picture They said the manager would call me. They never did. I called a week later and the front desk person remembered me and said the manager would call me. Never did. Disgusting.

Room was dirty. There was a dirty towel hanging in my shower and there was dust all over the walls. The television did not work and a service person had to come and exchange it that did not occur until 11 PM. The Keurig machine was broken and did not work. Staff seemed to not really care except for the handyman who repaired my TV who was very kind. The ice machine on a few of the floors was broken and all the carpeting was extremely stained and dirty

The bathroom and shower had not been cleaned. There was hair in the shower with a chair in there. One bed was broken and made noise every time I moved. The front desk staff were not friendly and were rude to my husband. I will not return to this hotel and do not recommend it.

It was ok the room was not as clean as I expected considering the price . The sheets were dirty once the room was freshened up. However the staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating. The service was excellent . The valet were extremely friendly and pleasant .

The Stay fell far away from my expectations. First, Valet was not at his station. Second, when i approached the check-in counter, I was greeted with an obscenity (the f word)). He then explained he had to reboot his computer. Third, they wanted my Debit Card to charge an additional $50 as a security deposit like i was a teenager. No clear explanation given. Fourth, i get to my room and it was clear no room service or even an alternative was given. Fifth, the shower stall floor and walls were covered in mold / mildew. It clearly wasn't cleaned in months or years. Sixth, i was notified the $50 deposit from me would take up to 5 days before my DR Card would be refunded. When I asked if i could use part of that to pay my valet charge, i was just told no! What you advertise and what you get were completely opposite. I was so turned off that i really needed to document my stay. Had it met or exceeded my expectations i would have gladly given a positive review as i normally do. So sad and greatly disappointed.

I have been here many times and this was thw 1st time i was disappointed. The building was hot. When we left a d looked to make sure we had everythi f we fiund a charger in the sheets that wasn't ours which would tell me the sheets were not changed since the last guest.

The TV was not working. I discovered the hdmi cable from the box to the TV was not connected to the tv. So there was no input. Also there t sounded like a woodpecker was in the heating vent every time the room next door seemed to turn on the water.

Walls are thin. People banging on doors at all hours. Nice view of a parking garage and roof drains. Beds are fresh and clean but hard as a board. Pillows are walmart special. Carpets are dated and well traveled. Great showers for ADA no tub. Parking is available at a premium. People parking cars are polite

Great location for dining and visiting family. Hotel is clean and comfortable but is in need of updating. Cleaning staff is courteous and does a great job. Dim lighting in hallways. Worn carpeting, worn baseboards and frame on bathroom mirror, mismatched painting touchups.

The hotel is ideally located for anyone attending anything on the Rutgers campus. It's an easy 15 minute walk. Also, there are many restaurants by the hotel ranging from humble pizzeria to upscale steakhouse. My comfortable room had neither entrance light nor overhead light. Strange.

It was a regular hotel room. Calling it a "suite" is a joke. The drawers on the dresser were a hot mess. The bottom one wouldn't close (it was partially open when I got in the room) and the others were very difficult to open and close. The air conditioning in the hotel room as well as a friend's room wasn't working well at all. No body wash, just a bar of soap. The lighting in the room was very poor, including the bathroom. It costs $30 to valet your car. They said they would send a link so you could request your car before you come down from your room. Never received it. It took 25 minutes to get my vehicle. Other guests were super annoyed about how long they had to wait. AND...I wasn't charged $30, but additional fee for...who knows. Really deceptive advertising. It was a $250 hotel room, which was super overpriced for what I got. I wouldn't stay here again.

Just so disappointed-unfriendly check in, nothing special -we were originally at a Hilton property but changed to this should have stayed where we were! People were partying all night and we did our best to cope through and I mentioned it to the front desk in the morning and was chastised for not calling in the middle of the night because “security would have come up” and I was like wait security doesn’t check the floors anyway? I wasn’t looking for anything jus informing them! But it is in a pretty sketchy area and anyone can come in and get on the elevator? Not good!

I took a red eye to New Brunswick. It just worked out that way. I arrived at the Heldrich Hotel at about 8:30am, hoping to at least check my luggage so I could walk about or do something until it was the official check-in time. Instead, the woman at the front desk said "let's see what we can do for you" and just like that, I was given a key to my room before 9am. That is true customer service: to get over 6 hours to crash after arriving so early. I'll always recommend the Heldrich for their consideration of my physical well-being.

The hotel looked so nice inside. But they assigned us to a room that was already occupied. No wonder the room key didn’t work. It already had people in it. I’ve stayed at many hotels in my life and this is the first time that this has happened! Also the breakfast in the hotel is not free.

Check in is at 3 pm and i didn't get a room till 530pm tv didn't work well and the cleaning lady was sneaking to open my room at 9am and Check out was at 12 i won't ever go there again

Nice hotel lobby entrance feels like it doesn't match the rooms , I paid for the luxury king size bed room , I didn't understand where the luxury detail was ? Paying for parking $30 seems a bit outrageous, Location and Walking distance to everything is ideal if you re going for a show or event in the heart of the city , Overall ok stay , they came into our room without knocking in the morning which was surprising though wasn't even checkout time. Managers should speak to staff and who is doing the check in as you don't feel very welcomed or greeted as you arrive.

The location is great - right across the street for the theater event we were attending and close to restaurants and stores. I had always seen the hotel but when in town we stay with family that lives in the area. Since we (10 of us) were all attending the theater event we decided to stay at the hotel and thought we'd hang out at the bar afterwards. The hotel rooms are basic, not fancy. They do have a fridge which is nice. But as far as hanging out at the bar, last call for food was 10:30 and we didn't get there until after the show around 10:00. So we walked to another restaurant. It was a Thursday night so I guess things close early.

Close to Hospital we had to be at, but lots of people asking for money right outside, no parking and was told when we booked that that thay had a ride service to and from Hospital, that was a lie..

Stayed at this location over Thanksgiving holiday. From Wed night (11/22) after 10PM until I left on Sat (11/25). Cristopher's Restaurant and Bar were shut down. Had to go off property, at anytime, during those days for food and drink. Just a little inconvenient. Otherwise fantastic location.

The hotel itself was very nice and clean. The rooms are small but wasn't planning on staying in it very long. We did not have working hot water in our shower, and when we called, they said they would fix it, but we never knew if they did or not, there wasn't any type of notification stating it was/wasn't. It was stated that they had room service and gave the menu to the hotel bar/restaurant and then it was told to us that they did not have room service. It gave us what we wanted, but the room service bit would have been nice since it was stated in the room.

The Heldrich is a beautiful hotel. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The pool was not available due to maintenance which was a great disappointment as it was one of the key amenities that drew me to the hotel. The breakfast buffet was laughable. There was no omelet station and the spread was scant for the price.

Hotel is clean. Room and staff were very nice. Comfortable beds. BUT they are still advertising there is a pool (it’s closed until further notice) so if that’s your thing, call ahead. Also, the breakfast buffet was pretty bad. It goes from 6:30-10:30. We got down there at about 10:10 and we were told (albeit very nicely) they were closing at 10:30. That’s fine. It’s enough time to eat breakfast. Everything was cold except for the coffee. Really cold. Tater tots were like cardboard. Eggs were fluffy but super cold. Then we got handed a check for $40. Skip it. I know we got there on the later side but the food should at least be hot until clean up.
