The hotel was an active construction site. It was undergoing major work at the façade and reception area, and possibly at some rooms. For a construction site it was relatively clean, but for an hotel the overall state was unacceptable. There is only one elevator, and it was clearly used to transport construction materials - it was full of dust and construction debris. The dust was also in the corridors leading to the room. The room itself was clean, but that was pretty much the only clean area of the hotel. Unacceptable, specially considering the 4-star ranking and the price charged per night.

Très bon accueil avec un service de consigne à bagages au top et un personnel très aimable et serviable. J'ai apprécié le café et les petites viennoiseries offertes à l'accueil. La chambre est propre et cosy. La douche parfaite! Je reviendrai.

Das Hotel habe ich für einen Städtetrip am Wochenende gebucht und dafür war es super geeignet. Preis-Leistung stimmt hier auf jeden Fall. Besonders hat mir gefallen: - die Lage, denn die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß gut zu erreichen und Montmartre ist wirklich ein tolles Viertel - Freundlichkeit des Hotel-Teams, zudem gab es morgens kostenlosen Kaffee, auch wenn kein Frühstück gebucht wurde - Gepäck wurde nach Check Out sicher aufbewahrt bis zur Abreise Natürlich ist das Hotel etwas hellhörig, die Zimmer sind nicht allzu groß und derzeit ist der Frühstücksraum im Umbau und es gibt Frühstückspakete. Aber generell gibt es in der Umgebung sehr viele schöne Bäckereien, in denen man authentisches französisches Frühstück bekommt.

Friendly staff who were always happy to help with any queries I had. Room was clean and the coffee/tea facilities in the hotel meant that I could grab a hot drink any time of the day. I would highly recommend Hotel Josephine.

Snel ingecheckt. Bij de receptie staat gratis koffie, thee en water to go. Hotel is op loopafstand van een metrostation, de Moulin Rouge en de Sacre coeur. Verder is de badkamer redelijk klein. De kamer zelf is prima qua ruimte, maar wel gehorig door zowel de straatgeluiden als geluid van deuren, stoelen of koffers van andere kamers. De faciliteiten zijn schoon, maar de details zoals bijvoorbeeld: de hoekjes van de vloer hadden nog wat beter schoongemaakt kunnen worden. Al met al een fijn verblijf gehad.

Staff were lovely, the room was fantastic (a fridge and iron would have been nice though). We weren’t told they were having a renovation, or that the lift was broke (we were on the 6th floor). The stairs were littered with tripping hazards (vacuum cleaners and cleaning equipment everywhere) and really unsafe. We would have had to find alternative accommodation if we had our kids with us. A great place to stay… once the renovations are completed!

スタッフの方のお人柄は皆さん凄く優しくて良い！！！のですが、とにかくお掃除をきちんとされないのが気になりました。廊下や階段にゴミが多く、掃除機をかけている様子はなかったです。一番驚いたのはベッドメイキングに入っているのに宿泊中(5泊)一度もシーツ交換をしてくれませんでした(涙)エレベーターも不調でなかなか使えず、ずっと階段を昇り降りしました。朝食は比較的種類が多く、美味しく頂きました。 日本の清潔さに慣れていると、かなりツラい部分があるかと思います(^_^;)

This hotel has the potential to be absolutely brilliant I don’t quite understand how it has been awarded 4 stars. There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room but no mugs so I took some paper cups from reception. The towels were very standard not very big or very thick and they never smelled freshly washed. The room itself was clean and tidy however the bathroom needed some work e.g. the shower screen did not close so wasn’t water tight and the skirting boards had some serious water damage. Everywhere needed dusting skirting boards etc had a thick layer of dust that you could visibly see (no one is clearly doing spot checks) and the sliding doors to the bathroom/toilet were covered in water marks that clearly hadn’t been wiped down in quite sometime. It was very budget hotel standards for 4 stars. The air conditioning/heating unit made an awful noise that seemed to get worse and sounded like a phone vibrating every few minutes or a ship fog horn. Please do not get me wrong it was fine for a budget hotel and the bed was very comfortable but this was not budget hotel and I would not recommend to a friend or stay again. Someone mentioned to us that the hotel had almost finished their renovation save for the stairs I find this hard to believe giving the state of the bathroom!

Séjour sur Paris très agréable dans un bel hotel 4 étoiles refait depuis peu. Quelques bémols sur la propreté et l’eau chaude pas à disposition toute la journée. En effet je me suis douché à l’eau froide et rasé dans l’après midi également à l’eau froide. En revanche le lendemain matin de l’eau chaude était ok. Une vraie problématique avec la poussière pas faite très souvent, les escaliers et surfaces horizontales mais également les rampes et le dessous de notre lit. Inadmissible pour cette gamme d’hôtel. Idem pour l’ascenseur qui mériterait une lavage avec une bonne éponge.

I stayed with my partner for two nights. Check in easy and the staff were lovely. Free coffee and tea in the lobby as well as a water fountain to fill bottles or cups. Room was mostly clean but our feet were dirty walking barefoot on the laminate flooring. The bed was comfy and room decor very nice. We did have an issue with the shower door leaking which meant we pretty much flooded the whole room before noticing, and had to mop up with towels. Unfortunately reception was not able to access fresh towels for us so moved us to another room, we were really happy with how it was dealt with. The shower doors open inwards and outwards so don't really seal properly so it's important to point the shower away from the door as much as possible. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Moulin Rouge and all transport networks. We parked in St Denis Indigo car park near the RER station and bought tickets for the tram and metro which took us to the station 5 mins from the hotel.

Clean and cozy. Super friendly staff. Free iced water in lobby. The only complains is that there is no standup shower in the bathroom (only a bathtub) so the floor gets wet when you wash your hair. But other than that we had a very happy stay. 2 minutes walk to Moulin Rogue and the metro station and plenty eateries around. Very happy about the location.

We stayed in adjoining rooms 306 and 307. The rooms are small and quaint, but are quite up to date including plumping features. Beds were comfortable. There are blackout drapes, but the installation is a little too far out from the window allowing for some street light noise and morning light to come in. We made it a bit better by leaning items against the walls and drapes on either side and clipping them together at the centre. The windows are new, so my guess is that the street noise is coming in from the surrounding frame, but not all that bad - 306 was worse as it is facing the street, and 307 was facing the back courtyard. The AC was a small issue as a vibration would occur every few minutes. This was fixed quickly, but returned again a day or two later then fixed again quickly. The TVs are equipped with Chromecasts, but the instructions weren’t clear that the input must be changed. This required the use of the original TV remote in which only one of the rooms had. The shower temperature valve in room 306 remained in the max hot temperature setting. This didn't end up being fixed during our stay - we just used the shower in the adjoining room. Overall, it was a decent stay.

This hotel has a cool vibe/decor! Would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a very Parisian & boutique experience and not a big chain hotel.

To be honest, the atmosphere is quite good, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. However, I don’t why the light of our rooms are not so bright, and the power or output of water of shower is very low, that makes a bit uncomfortable while taking a shower. Also, the quality of shampoo should be better, especially under a such low level of water power or output.

I liked the hotel itself. It is beautiful and cozy. Comfy beds. Breakfast was delicious! The only drawback is noise from neighbors. The rooms/doors have no insulation. Room was a very strange layout - very small and dark with not much room to move about. It felt as if there were two bathrooms backing onto our L shaped room which resulted in a poor night of sleep. I personally have stayed in nicer hotels in Paris at a similar price point. However, the staff were very friendly at reception.

Seleccioné este Hotel pues dentro de la oferta idiomas que habla su personal está Español, sin embargo la joven que atendía en la noche del 26 de Junio que llegamos, no hablaba nada de Español, algo que es comprensible pues a veces los domingos no cuenta con el personal completo, el problema es que la dependienta al notar que no hablábamos Francés se mostró muy disgustada y nos brindó un pésimo servicio, haciendose evidente su disgusto por la falta de comprensión del idioma frances. Esta situación complicó todo el proceso de Check In. A la mañana siguiente del 27 de Junio se repitió la misma situación con el Jóven dependiente que que poco amable y no Permitió que tomaramos el desayuno que teníamos pago y que ya estaba servido, pues nosotros viajabamos antes de las 7 para el aeropuerto y el desayuno solo puede tomarse después de esa hora. En conclusión un Hotel con PESIMO SERVICIO, no lo recomiendo.

But other than that we had a very happy stay. 2 minutes walk to Moulin Rogue and the metro station and plenty eateries around. Very happy about the location.

The hotel lived up to its name “Happy Culture” The staff were VERY HAPPY people,they make you happy(especially the Asian lady and the dinner ladies,even the male staff too) The entire team are very great people. The breakfast is deliciously made and enough to go round, the spa is everything anyone can ask for and the rooms are beautifully done. An excellent hotel overall,will definitely be visiting again,Merci beaucoup
