Basecamp Suites Canmore

Great location, walking distance to downtown Canmore, great amenities in room, comfortable beds. Hot tub was broken unfortunately - which we planned to be a big part of our stay so that was disappointing.

Very spacious suite, clean and comfortable. Parking was VERY small!!

We loved our stay. Except for the stairs, too many and no elevator.

Hot tub was out of order due to maintenance.

The one bedroom apartment was exactly what we wanted for our mid-week getaway. We enjoyed a few hikes in the area and it was nice to come back to a comfortable home base. The only really disappointing thing about our stay was that the hot tub was broken and although we were told they were working on fixing it- it didn’t look like anyone was working on it. We booked this place based on looking forward to the hot tub after our hikes but it didn’t open during our stay. Other than that we loved the location and the room was perfect for us.

Nice place with stylish decor and walkable to lots of shops and great restaurants. The one bedroom plus pull out was WAY too small for our family of 4 though. Nowhere to put round coffee table when pullout was opened, so it completely blocked kitchen area. Also minimal room to even put or open luggage . The one bedroom would be best for 2 people , max. Also parking was crazy - $60 for one day(!) and we didn’t realize hot tub was closed both Sunday and Monday . Canmore is a great little getaway for us but will look for a bigger place next time.

It was very clean, loved the hot tub and having a full kitchen. Our suite didn't have a parking stall so basically our stay was $24.00 extra per day as we had to pay for parking. Would be nice if something could be done about that. Better blinds would be nice as there was an outside light that was on all night and the blinds weren't dark enough. Other than those 2 things, we were happy with it.

The property is new, clean and nicely finished. We arrived after hours and it was difficult to reach anyone to sort out an access code as it was not emailed in advance and there is no front desk that is staffed. We booked the property to take advantage of the hot tub, and it was not open during the posted hours on Saturday morning of a long weekend. Even after 2 calls to the virtual front desk promising a follow up, no follow up was received. Disappointing.

Very centrally located in Canmore town and a seamless experience for checking in and out. The property was very well maintained and clean.

We were very satisfied with our apartment. It was clean. The air conditioning was working perfectly. All amenities were included.

Unit was super clean! Easy to check in! Parking was not the best but found a lot only one block away to park overnight at. Hot tub area was clean. Would definitely stay again.

The property itself is in a great location if youre looking to walk everywhere, the floors could have been cleaned prior to arrival, within minutes our socks were black

Great location and layout. Great kitchen set up - fantastic to make some meals there. Very comfy bed. Great cost for a day or two stay. It is not well built (wood frame, no insulation) so very loud. We went during quiet season so not terrible but prepare to hear all your neighbours very clearly as they move about including showering and all. Bring earplugs for nighttime if you need that. It’s really what it says - a basecamp. It’s not a place you would want to hang out much due to noise and pure view of a parking lot (had to keep blinds closed the entire time). As it is newer it was generally in good shape. But you can see how it will be very dirty and not maintained in the near future. I found it already showing signs like dirty floors (comers full of hair) broken bathroom fixtures, lots of scuffs. They also did not have the hot tub open as said in the morning. They were nice and apologized but it meant we waited around an hour and then had to change our plans anyways because they couldn’t say when the hot tub would open. You really don’t see people on site to get help in the mornings. Overall great layout and location but not great service and not as clean as I would want and could get very loud when busy. I maybe would stay here for convenience and good off season price.

We’ve stayed at other Basecamp properties and enjoyed them. We booked the micro suite which is modern and tastefully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. The micro suite didn’t include parking which wasn’t clearly communicated during booking, but paying for street parking wasn’t a big deal. The bathroom was new but not super clean. There was some kind of liquid splash marks on the wall beside the toilet and a smear of something on the wall beside the sink. I messaged the front desk and they promised to take care of it. We left for dinner and came back several hours later and the bathroom looked the same. They did tell me that they had taken care of it, so I ended up cleaning it myself. Bed and bedding was clean and very comfortable.

First of all found the location very difficult to find. The main office had no signs and is shared in a small coffee shop, took a good amount of time to actually find it so we could check in because for some reason it wasn’t working online. Parking was also not easy to get to. Walked into the room and it absolutely reeked. Had to open the windows and air it out while we went for food. Came back to chill for the night and our blankets had disgusting stains on them, walls had smears of god knows what, finger prints all over the microwave/oven (which we did not use), TV remote was even greasy. I could go on for hours with a list of the uncleanly concerns. Brought this up with the staff in which they said the manager will reach out - took almost a week and that was due to me constantly texting and calling to follow up and finally reached the manager directly. Got a very small discount on the room to compensate which in my opinion is not satisfactory considering the state of the room. I am not one to complain or make poor reviews but this was just disgusting.

Lovely place in the heart of downtown. Walkable to restaurants and shops. Quiet, convenient, and spacious. Has a kitchen and everything you could need. We will be returning.

Liked that it's clean and new, but for 4 adults, the 1 bedroom is too small. You need to turn the coffee table on its side in order to open up the sofa bed. There's also no place for luggages in bedroom or living room. Liked the promptness in communication. Liked that it's conveniently located and has an assigned parking spot.

We had a family of 5 including 3 teenagers. We stayed in the 3 bedroom suite and had plenty of room. The dining area was well set-up for all of us. Location is within easy walking distance to downtown, many restaurants and other amenities. we really enjoyed our stay.

Amazing property! We stayed in a spacious suite with three bedrooms and a comfortable queen sofa bed. It truly felt like home, with every amenity we could possibly need — especially the large dining table that brought everyone together for memorable family meals. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to cook, and the living area was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The whole group loved the stay. Street parking was simple and conveniently located right outside the building, which made coming and going stress-free. The location was the best part — just a short walk to downtown Canmore, great restaurants, cozy cafés, and the charming main street. Everything was within easy reach, yet the area was peaceful and quiet at night. The mountain views from the property were breathtaking, and stepping outside each morning felt like being in a postcard. The staff were friendly and responsive, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. This place was the perfect base for exploring both Canmore and Banff. We would absolutely stay here again.

The bed was next to the kitchen, the lovely digital clocks from the stove and microwave shined their eternal light over me as I was trying to sleep. Extremely loud ventilation system that would turn on and off, in intervals, during the whole stay. Very thin walls, might have had elephants as neighbours. Possibly hippos. At least it was very fresh and clean.

Great place for a short stay in Canmore. The rooms are on a smaller side and there is not much space for storage in a one bedroom apartment. The kitchen is fully equipped with all you need. Easy access to the Main Street and all that it offers. My room was on the second floor - it is definitely not sound proofed I could hear my upstairs and next door neighbours quite a bit. Gratefully guests honoured quiet hours after 10 pm. I have stayed at the Basecamp Resort last year but prefer this location for its proximity to the Main Street and much less street noise.

I would highly recommend this property! It was right in the heart of canmore with so many restaurants, shops and transportation within a walking distance. This property was in THE perfect location to explore. The suite itself was so spacious, clean and verg comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay!

I’ve stayed at a few different base camp locations in Canmore and I’ve been happy with my experience every time. This location is great and very easily walkable to nearby cafés and even to elevation place if the weather is nice! Check in and checkout is always seamless. Parking is only accessible through the back alley however but great to have a safe spot to park during our stay.

Great place and location to stay. Quick walk to coffee shops, cute local shops and galleries. Definitely check out Kain Tayo restaurant, the food truck Marupork Kitchen, both delicious and right next to the Suites. Would stay again!
