near water across from Morro Rock. Many restaurants. nice breakfast next door to hotel. Small hotel, room was fine, not fancy. Had coffee maker and refrigerator, comfortable bed. Easy to get on highway one and 101. Hotel had a nice sitting area with tables.

I loves the ease of parking and the location. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure was good. Everything, as expected for the area, was older and not kept up as well as it should be. You could hear everything from outside and the rooms nearby, but luckily it's at the end, closer to the water, so there is less noise than other areas may have. The owner was sweet and takes great care of the plants and courtyard area. I love how easy he made late check-in. It is walking distance from food, shopping, and charters for fishing. Unfortunately late at night there were very loud people drinking in the parking lot, and because it's a dog friendly place there was some additional noise from dogs. Overall, I would stay there again if I needed to be in the area, I just wish the amenities were a little better.

Cons: Room was very small and if checking in past 5pm, the room left unlocked with key inside. Also the ceiling fan had dust bunnies falling on us. Pros: Awesome view of Morro Rock, dog friendly and very comfortable bed. Plenty of parking and easily can walk to pier.

This place is pretty bare bones. No Kleenex, no ice bucket, no drawers, no closet. 132 sq ft. No light in the shower.Had to go down to the office to ask for more coffee etc not filthy but not super clean. It did have a pretty nice bed if you like firm temperpedic. it IS conveniently located and walking distance to many fine restaurants and the free cinnamon rolls are pretty damn good but if I were to go back to Morro Bay I would try someplace different

I’ve stayed at the Bayview before, nice place, close to restaurants on the Embarcadero. My dog likes it too. The only problem I had was that I couldn’t get ice after 1700, it was locked up. I made sure that I got two buckets the next day.

We enjoyed our stay overnight. It was very convenient with plenty of parking. Very walkable to restaurants and the pier. They have a cute little patio and lounge area right in front where you can relax and observe all the comings and goings. Our room was on the ground floor next to the amenities/stock room and there were a lot of flies that seemed to have disappeared the next morning. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

I opened the door of the Hotel room the Stench hit me like a freight train. The Window was wide open, clearly, they were trying to mask the smell of the Moldy, Tainted room. As I looked up, the Ceiling fan was on high. I could see a Ring of filth & literal dirt caked on the ceiling around the fan(see pics). There were cobwebs hanging down from the walls like they were stuck in time. As I walked, I could feel crusty dried up dirt crunch under my shoes. I looked down to see caked dirt on the floor. And there were these red spots on the floor, pillow & curtains. I immediately knew these were blood spots. I have watched my fair share of Murder Mysteries & know what blood spots look like - Was there a murder in this room? I glanced at the outdated, ugly bedspread I was horrified to see stains of only god know what on it. This hotel was something out of a horror movie from the 80's. As I walked into the bathroom trying not to touch anything for fear I might contract the Plague or something worse. The bathroom was even more foul and nasty then the bedroom. There was BLACK MOLD all over the shower it had been there living in plain sight. There were long black hairs on the walls(not mine im blonde). Not to mention the TV was broken as were the lights on the bedside. We immediately ran back to the office that was open till 6:00pm. It was 5:45 CLOSED - there was a sign to call the after hours phone. We did 30+ times no answer. DO NOT STAY HERE-SEE PIC'S! *update refund refused by owner>

The ceiling fan was extremely dusty and filthy. What a shame and nasty. The bathroom sink was dirty, and the knobs where not cleaned in a while. And oh my gosh the mattress was horrible not comfortable at all and the bed sheets had a lot hair on them. I was extremely disappointed and I very surprised! I absolutely didn't expect such poor service from this place!

This was a charming property in a great location—just a short walk to the harbor and shopping area. The room was on the smaller side, which was expected, and appeared clean overall. However, I did notice some small bugs in the shower, which was a bit off-putting. Check-in was smooth, but keep in mind the office closes at 5 PM, so be sure to arrange an alternate plan if arriving later. For the price, it met my expectations. I would consider staying here again if I return to Morro Bay.

Location, location! Conveniently located in the middle of water / beach activities, restaurants and shops at the bay. Cute courtyard with ample seating options makes the motel exterior warm and inviting. The rooms are extremely small and very outdated. Beds are uncomfortable and our room was not very clean. The floors were filthy and since all rooms are pet room, there was ample pet hair along the floor and baseboards. It was obvious that the floors are not regularly mopped. For the location it worked well for our group of four adventuring adults. For the price I had higher expectations for our room.

The Bayfront Inn is definitely a dated motel yet it is exceptionally clean, has a lovely courtyard area to relax in directly across from Morro Bay, Don (the owner?) was extremely friendly and helpful, and you get a coupon for free, delicious cinnamon rolls from next door.

When we pulled back our sheets to get in bed, we discovered grated American cheese pieces stuck to the top sheet. It was obvious these sheets were never replaced from the previous guests. VERY small place! Unit #7. Great location, though!

There was no AC. This should have been made clear in the amenities and I’m not sure that it was. While the weather tends to be cool the humidity is noticeable. No AC means open windows which means outside noise — people loud talking laughing interrupts sleep. Had to politely ask people to lower voices. TV remote didn’t work and limited cable channels. Otherwise, clean, quaint convenient to Morro Rock and bay.

Rooms are very small, Deluxe King was not deluxe. Heavy traffic outside the room. Walls very thin, you can here everything going on next to you. Great location, quick walk to the Rock, or stroll down the Embarcadero, but the price was not work the location. Definantly felt like I way over spent for what I got.

The bed was nice and that’s about it. Very, very small, outdated shower with a shower head that was so calcified and rusted water barely came out. Cracked moldy tile in the shower.

This is a great location right on thw Embarcadero, and our room had a nice view of Morro Rock. The proximity to Fankie & Lola's is a plus, too, because their breakfasts are great. The room was a little cramped, and the bed a little too firm for my liking. It is a dog friendly hotel, and the biggest turn-off was our neighbor leaving their dogs mess (barf/poop??) outside our door. Not the hotel's fault, but...ick.

Great stay. Room 15 had the perfect view of “The Rock”. This is literally steps from the Great American Fish Company. You can walk to the rock without breaking a sweat & close to the downtown area. We enjoyed it & we loved the bed. Hands down the most comfy bed & pillows ever! Definitely staying here again when we go back.

Great location to walk to shopping, restaurants and beach. Friendly staff. The room does have a refrigerator and a ceiling fan and an extra fan in the room, but no air conditioner. There was a little room where you can get ice and there was a microwave available.

There was no ice machine, no microwave. The owner was rude and disrespectful. Overall, the only good thing about the place was that moral Bay Rock was right across the street. And the surrounding businesses were wonderful.

Did not get to stay here, as there was no staff present at their demanded check-in time (between 3-5 pm). When we got there, the office was locked with a sign saying "be back in 30 minutes" with no time the note was left. We tried calling the phone number and could not leave a message, as their mailbox was full. I could not see the rooms, but from the outside and looking into the office/gallery, the place looked terrible and run down. We ended up finding a much nicer hotel for less money. Hotels.com was able to contact the hotel manager/owner "John" later that evening and patched us through. He claimed he was only gone for five minutes (a lie) and would not refund our cancellation. This hotel is on our list to not every stay at again and I caution you if you book here you won't get very good service and will probably regret it.

Hotel is horrible, the staff is only there from 3-6pm for in person check-in. I had an issue with my room. The toilet around the base was leaking sewage. Under the flooring was drenched and squishy. There was no number to contact the hotel to let them know there was a problem. How can a business especially a hotel have no one on site to help with issues.

Do not stay here! The only physical experience I had was a dog barking I could hear from outside the front desk. It says open 24 hrs yet nobody available or answering to check me in at 9 pm. Of course the voice mailbox was full. They just took my money, wouldn’t refund me and I didn’t even stay there because I couldn’t. Highway robbery! Then to top it off the owner specifically tells me the money was nothing when I tried getting my refund. What a joke of an establishment and Expedia is just as bad. They did absolutely nothing to help me.

My reservation was lost. My name was not on the list in the window when I went to the hotel to check what room I was in all the other customers who had a room that night their name was on the window. We ended up going to another hotel and getting a room otherwise we’d be sleeping in the car. I had called Hotels.com, but they were absolutely no help. They told me to start checking the doors and the other rooms and seeing if one was empty, my husband walked in on it was terrible so yes, we had to get a room at another hotel for the night. The next day we went back, went to the hotel and asked them what happened to our reservation? They said we weren’t in the system and they had no room for us. They were full so we went back and called Hotels.com again Ended up talking to three different sets of people. The first two sets of people hung up on us, the third person actually helped us. They called the hotel and they found our reservation which I could put in, but I don’t know who has another name. They have the wrong persons name on the window and that’s why we didn’t get our room. It was a nightmare. The whole trip was ruined, even though it was supposed to be my Mother’s Day gift from my husband. The whole trip was ruined. We got our room from them for that night, but we never did get compensated on having to rent another place previous night. I will never stay at that hotel again and I’ll never get a room from Hotels.com again closing my account. Goodbye.

The man that runs this property is a very sweet and friendly gentleman, eager to make sure each guest is happy, comfortable, and treated with respect. He seems to truly care about each and every guest through his door, a rarity in this day and age. Guests aren't just a number here and that proved he has great customer service here. I love the location! just across street from the Otter Nursery & walking distance to Morro Rock & Embarcadero restaurants. The inn itself is old but still has some charm, a little garden inside.

We really enjoy our 4 days stay plus our view was great. The manager who drive a BMW was very helpful and knowledgeable to the area for great tips. The surrounding was unique and don’t forget about the Cinnabon that we get each morning “ on the house “😋. We are surely coming back definitely 👍. Highly recommended and we were very happy with our mini get away vacations from the city. Thank you Bayfront inn 😊 💗

Had a lovely stay. Staff was super friendly! Room was small but cozy and comfortable. Bed was very squeaky whenever you sat on the edge.but not to the extent that I couldn't handle the noise. Loved the room decorations ! Shampoo, conditioner, and soap were very nice. Towels were soft. Even gave us free cinnamon rolls every morning from the restaurant next door! So yummy ! Definitely will stay there again!

Easy to access the hotel outside check in hours. There is a lovely seating area out front and there really are bay views. You can see the Morro Rock when you step out of the property! Breakfast was a cinnamon roll each from the cafe next door. Would stay there again!

We arrived a little before the check-in time, but our room was ready. We like to stay at the Bayfront Inn because it is walking distance to the Embarcadero and the rock so we can let our dog run on the beach. The various patio areas are a nice perc. We also like the free cinnamon buns.

A great little motel. Excellent location. Can walk to nearly everything you’ll want to see. They welcomed my pup with a sweet little gift bag and a cinnamon roll from Frankie and Lola’s for me.

Love staying at the Bayfront inn. Across the street from the water front and walkable to embarcadero. Small rooms but fine for a short stay. . Dog friendly wit a 30 fee but you get a pet goodies bag with treats a toy ,a blanket. Grays break eats adjacent to the inn.

The room too small for the bed. Not much room to walk around. Air conditioner didn't work. Bathroom floor sagged and creaked when stepped on. Thought I would fall through. Wouldn't even touch the shower. No direct view of the ocean as promised. Very noisy. I regret renting there because it ruined our vacation.
