Ambassador Playa II

We have stayed many times at this hotel. The on site Explorers bar is a great place to enjoy a drink and the entertainment on offer is always great. Staff are fantastic and the dining options are generally good, especially the breakfast. We would gladly encourage people to book this hotel as it is always good value.

We like the proximity to downtown. It’s on the busiest bar/club street. The downside of this was the noise from the street. Hotel was clean. Staff was friendly. The food was a huge buffet. At the buffet, you would have to pay for beer and wine which is understandable, but we also had to pay for soft drinks which I think should’ve been included. The bathrooms are very small including the shower area. Our shower drain stayed clogged entire stay and water would pour into the bath floor. We stayed in March which they consider to be winter, therefore they had no air condition allowed to be turned on. Our room stayed hot and we had to keep the balcony doors open the entire stay, which in turn made it noisy from the street level. That was our biggest complaint. My wife dislikes that she had to pay for coffee in the room. I also disliked that the parking garage in the basement was $20e a day and was extremely tight to park a very tiny SUV in. Plus each time you would leave the parking garage, you had to pull up to the gate, walk through the door and push a button and ask them to open the gate. It was very inconvenient. There is on street parking but it’s regulated for certain times only. The pool was great, the pool area and general area was very clean. The staff was always friendly. The indoor bar was great as well. The bus stop is very close and convenient if you need to bus in. The walk to the ocean is very close and if you like to hike, you can hike directly to LaCruz

Stayed a couple of times now. Modern, clean, right on the strip. Staff were all superb and friendly. Food was brilliant too! Will definitely be back again! Book the spa early into your trip!

Had to be at pool by 8.30 to get sun beds..

Nice stay first time in this hotel . Room clean tidy comfy bed. Nice powerful shower . Good Tv selection nice balcony pool view . Food ok always found something to put you on for day. Only gripe would have the spa access to use the falictys 18 euros each for 2 hours stayed in better hotels where this has been free . But that’s the only downside to the hotel .

Pool area overcrowded

We were very impressed with the hotel but we had a problem with the lifts as we dont think you have enough for the size of the hotel as the waiting could be quiet long also the wifi wasnt very good i put this down to the ammount of people using it but this hasnt put me off as the hotel really lived up to expectations

Lovely hotel. Staff polite but not over friendly. Food plentiful, always a choice, although the restaurant tables were far too close to each other, sunbeds the same. Pool area needs better ‘security’ . Sunbed scram in the morning. Great entertainment.Location and cleanliness excellent. No difference in playa 1 and 2 . Pool view preferred for people and entertainment watching! Rooms very soundproofed of outside noise . Wouldn’t let the negatives stop us booking again, now I’m aware !

Meticulously maintained inside and is a real credit to the management and staff. Ideal location in the middle of the entertainment area and one of the best venues just across the road. Good food, good prices for most drinks. Tastfully illuminated and decorated throughout. Check-in was very quick and easy. I would recommend a poolside room if possible, not much to look at on the other side! The aircon was very quiet throughout the night where others I've experienced can be quite noisy. There is nothing really negative to say other than my wife didnt really like her pillow. Highly recommended you wont be disappointed.

Majority of staff were stern and unfriendly.Clesning was not up to standard, dust under beds, floors never washed all week ,and one day room not cleaned had to chase after cleaners Xmas meal was a disaster. Split into 2 sitting which meant approx 300 people were queuing to gain entrance , resulted in large and lengthy queues waiting for vegetables and turkey . It must have taken 30 minutes for everyone to gain access, instead of being relaxing it was Avery bad experience .would not recommend this hotel over the festive period

The hotel is in a central location but it is loud inside and out all night. You can’t leave doors open for fresh air. The air conditioning was not on so rooms stuffy and unpleasant. It’s not a 4* hotel - extra charges for everything including coffee tray replenishment, pool towels etc. The toiletries in the bathroom never replaced. Floors not cleaned at all during a weeks stay. Balcony never brushed or mopped after rain made it dirty. The hotel accepted massive groups of teenagers, football team, they were loud and completely decimated the buffet that was so so slow to be replenished. The food was ok but always luke warm and lacked any variety. Overall a very average hotel where you’ll struggle to sleep.

Zimmer wurden nicht ordentlich gereinigt, es war immer Dreck auf dem Fußboden. Essen war Qualitativ in Ordnung leider völlig ungewürzt. Durch die angrenzenden Bars war es immer sehr laut. Der Pool konnte leider nicht genutzt werden, da er im Winter nicht beheizt wird.

Lovely hotel. Receptionist was i formative, helpful friendly. The room was lovely clean with regular cleaning. All round great 3 day stay.

The hotel is lovely perfect location. Only problem I would say was the room temperature it’s either freezing or far to hot.

Stayed for 5 nights as part of birthday celebrations for my wife. We were a group of 8 located across 4 rooms. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. We looked over the pool which was great when relaxing in the evening. The only minor complaint is the air conditioning can be temperamental and takes quite a while to cool the room down. Young or old this hotel is located perfectly for a quiet day or a wild night. Will definitely be returning

The room was like a sauna,, it was over 29 at night , reception told us to open the balcony door , as the aircon is tuened off in November but our room was right over the road and the noise made it impossible to sleep...

Hotel was nice. Food was good. The spa is great. My only issue was the sound from the hallway is not masked at all in the room it sounds like people from the hall are in your room with you. Soundproofed really well from outside

Beautiful hotel interior very nice,rooms are spacious plenty of storage space, large tv with plenty of channels, bathroom very spacious huge shower. Food is excellent so much choice

Food and facilities were very good at the hotel.The 2 bedroomed room we had didn't have a door on the bedroom so was very disappointed. The pool area was very clean even though very busy.There was a grumpy receptionist that wasn't helpful as i was trying to organise my husbands 70th birthday whilst there.They did leave a bottle of cava for him in our room but we had already arranged a meal for our group so wasn't used.Wouldnt book a 2 bed family room again as its just not worth the extra money.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic hotel, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff greeted me with warm smiles and made me feel right at home. Their attentiveness and friendliness truly set the tone for an exceptional stay. As someone with coeliac disease, I often face challenges when it comes to dining out, but the hotel’s kitchen went above and beyond to cater to my dietary needs. They provided a wonderful selection of gluten-free and vegetarian options that were not only safe for me to enjoy but also absolutely delicious! The rooms were also amazing. They were spotlessly clean and neat, showcasing a modern aesthetic that made for a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. I appreciated the attention to detail, from the fresh linens to the well-appointed furnishings. One of my favorite features was the shower, the water pressure was excellent. And let’s not forget the spa! It was outstanding and offered great value for money. A great ambience with soft music and LED lightning makes it stand out. Overall, my stay at this hotel was nothing short of perfect.

Food was great choice, good quality for buffet style. Pool was busy but you didn’t have to be up at 8am for sun bead wars ! Always a sunbed available late morning when we tried. Staff were friendly. Late checkout available at reasonable price.

Love stay. Food was good very clean hotel only think which was a disappointed some staff not all staff were quiet rude with no customer service training at all ,, one lady front of desk,, no hello no smile , no can I help you ,, yet a gentleman on front desk was lovely

Good hotel great location but got there at 10-30 and check in was 3 got key room at 2-55 . This is February and hotel was no full so don’t no how couldn’t get in room

Hotel moderni, hezký, přímo na nejrušnější ulici, v noci hluk z hospod, blízko na pláž, do vody vstup přes kamenné plato, voda nádherně čistá, pláž písek. Jídlo dobré. Parkování placené.

My husband and I both enjoyed our stay in the Ambassador II. We had a room overlooking the pool on the first floor. There was noise from the bars across the road but it was fine with the balcony doors closed. Good food in the buffet at night and we enjoyed the entertainment in the bars.

We’ve found the Ambassador to have the best food options out of all the hotels we’ve stayed at in Benidorm. Plenty of choice especially at breakfast.

I have been to Benidorm many time the Ambassador hotel has been the best hotel by far I have stayed in Everything was top class, but if I had to pick the best thing it would be the food. We were half board and the food was fabulous with a great variety of dishes

The hotel itself is very nice . Very modern looking and the amenities are brilliant. Beds are somewhat comfy but rhe pillows are awful. Foodwise. Quite a large variety. However....no oranges at breakfast and for tea every single dish was british apart from the occasional 3 meals that are "special', of which, ironically, none were spanish. They served indian one day, chinese and mexican on two others. Extremely disappointed in the food. There was not a single spanish dish on any of the nights and that was our biggest peeve. We were in spain . Its part of the experience to eat the cuisine. Yet none was on offer. If i wanted to eat british food, i would have stayed home. The food wasnt the best quality either. But there was plenty to choose from. On arrival we also had problems. They gave us our key card, we proceeded up to the room to be greeted by a woman in a towel. Hotel staff had no idea how the room was already occupied as they said that itd been allocated to us and there was noone elses info in their system for that room

Not one meal was warm.quality of food very good.but if it was hot it would have been palatable.
