Royal Blue Hotel

Absolutely beautiful location, we had a room with panoramic windows overlooking the ocean and surrounding islands. Wide selection of pools including some welcome adults only options - although none heated at this time of year so chilly to say the least! Short walk to nearby Copacobana beach with crystal clear water. Well connected to local bus services into the old town. We only ate at the hotel a couple of times but food was overall good. Breakfast had a good selection even if a lot wasn’t to my personal taste. Plenty of space in seating areas and sunbeds.

King Bed room with ocean view. Very spacious room. wonderful facilities in the hotel and plenty of dining options in and around the hotel. Great place to relax and unwind.

Whilst being a hotel that is part of a large hotel complex, it is quiet, relaxing and easy to move around with lots of places to enjoy whether you want to be super active or just relax. Has a nice boardwalk from the hotel to Lapad. Here there are plenty of restaurants to enjoy and the walk is spectacular!!

Royal Blue is part of a group of other Royal hotels in a row so therefore more like a complex and includes a nice bar/pizzeria. One of the restaurants was average and overpriced but nice views. The la Castille restaurant was very good! We had breakfast included which was nice and the food was ok but i would not say 5*. Obviously buffet food is hard to make it good. The gym was decent and had everything you need really. The spa was nice and we had a couples massage which was nice, bit too much oil but perfect pressure. 5 swimming pools in total! Sadly all were too cold to enjoy apart from the roof top heated pool. The rooms were nice but in need of some redecorating. Multiple times a day our key cards wouldnt work for the rooms.The reception staff were very attentive at getting things in the room fixed quickly eg the air con and door handles. One day our room was cleaned and no new bedsheet was put on the bed and we had to find a sheet and put it on ourselves. Overall a lot of services and parts of it were 5* but a lot wasn't...

Great facility only complaint is they need to upgrade their 20 year old room key system as cards continually demagnatize and you have to go to front desk and get a new key and it happens so much they didn't ask for id so thats not great either.

Le personnel est respectueux de nos affaires personnels. Personnel disponible et réactif, ma carte s’est désactivée car je l’ai collée à mon téléphone donc attention. Petit déjeuner complet il y a de tout même pour les plus difficiles (sans gluten etc..) si vous trouvez rien à manger c’est que vous faite exprès. Bar à œufs incroyable. Hôtel très propre avec une belle vue surtout le rooftop avec la piscine le soir ! Des bars partout on risque pas de mourir de soif. Salle de sport petite mais complète j’ai pu faire les entraînements que je voulais. Arrêt de bus à 5 min à pied pour aller en vieille ville ou au port en moins de 15 min (aussi bien que Paris). Seul bémol c’est la privatisation d’une piscine pour notre dernier jour par une entreprise. Une employée a été très hautaine pour nous faire comprendre qu’on devait pas être là. Mais dans la globalité très bon séjour. Je pense revenir si ça change pas d’ici là.

Me encanto la ubicación del hotel, accesible, tiene una estación de autobús cerca, ademas caminando tienes restaurantes cerca. Las instalaciones del hotel muy bien, el SPA completo, tiene varias piscinas. El hotel elegante, me encantó, volvería.

Despite Expedia showing this as a VIP Access hotel with a free room upgrade and despite the hotel being only at around half capacity at best, we received no VIP upgrade on this trip. The hotel was clean and the PARTS THAT WERE OPEN were in good order. However, this is a strange hotel - it is really called Royal Resort Dubrovnik and consists of 4 blocks with one reception rather than being 4 separate hotels, despite being listed under 4 names. The main reception was manned, however when we visted (late April) the reception and concierge areas in the other buildings (including the one we were in) were not staffed. In addition, of the 7 restaurants and bars listed on all the signage, 4 were closed for our entire trip with (very strangely) cushions strewn all over the floor for the length of our trip in the restaurant at the bottom of the Royal Blue. Buffet breakfast was the usual thing you get with big hotels - OK some days and then missing have the food the next. Two pools were drained. The indoor one was also inexplicably closed one day. Parking somewhat of a mess but easy. Evening buffet was DIRE and expensive unless in your package - you get far better for less at the buffet at the hotel complex next door. Housekeeping very poor - twice had to ring down as on returning to our room early evening on one occasion found they'd taken all the towels and not replenished and on another not bothered to enter the room at all. Room when worked on was however very clean.

For a 5 star hotel, I didn’t feel as though this property lives up to the hype. You have to pay for everything, right down to coffee pods in the rooms. There is no hot tubs on any of the 5 facilities, we stayed in a “deluxe room” which is on the top floor of the royal blue. There is a bar on top of this hotel, and every morning you are awoken by the hotel employees dragging furniture across the floor of the bar. The on site restaurants are also expensive ( cheapest lunch you can do is 70 euro if you and your wife have a beer) and sub par, although Dubrovnik has great restaurants so not the end of the world. On the plus side, hard to beat the view!

Very relaxing stay. All staff very pleasant and facilities very good. Beach and ladders to sea was great. Housekeeping could maybe have been a little bit better, had to request additional toilet roll and do not disturb signs. But couldn’t fault cleanliness so that is quite picky!

La struttura era moderna con piscine e accesso diretto al mare. Le piscine non venivano mai pulite, scale e vialetti veramente sporchi e macchiati, come i cuscini delle sedie del bar, nota dolente il mangiare veramente veramente pessimo, per non parlare delle mosche e moscerini che volavano sul buffet in continuazione la struttura ha un’ottima location ma la gestione fa veramente a desiderare !

Great location, 2 minutes walk to the bus stop to get into the Old Town, good dining options on site with very good buffet breakfast. Location is right on the coast so fantastic sunsets. Room was very spacious and immaculately cleaned everyday. All in all a great hotel

Lits de 140 pour un hôtel 5 étoiles. C’est juste inadmissible !!!!! Sous prétexte que nous sommes 4 (2 adultes + 2 enfants) Nous avons pris une suite de luxe avec un grand lit mais un 140 n’est pas un grand lit. Nous sommes restés 1h à l’accueil mais ils n’ont rien voulus entendre. Nous avons demandé à changer de chambre ou annuler mais nous sommes tombés sur un mur. Même

We stayed for 12 nights in a delux king room with sea view, the room was well appointed and very spacious with amazing views from the balcony. The bed was very large and comfortable. The air-con was effective and quiet. The downside for us was the breakfast experience, typically overcrowded, with long queues for the coffee machines that gave poor quality coffee. Fruit juice was not fresh and the hot food options were rather disappointing. Certainly not a 5-star experience. Location is good, 20-minute bus ride to Pile Gate for the old town, and a pleasant 'boardwalk' into Lapad for an evening out in the bars and restaurants. There is no actual beach at the hotel, and sea access from the rocks was a bit daunting if you are not a confident swimmer.

Check in was easy but got to our room and had booked a king size bed and instead we had a twin room called down to ask what was happening and we were told they didn’t have any left.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. However, the price in their bars and restaurants is extortionate - literally more expensive than the main square in Dubrovnik old town. No water refill points and charging 6 euro for 750ml of water. No ice machines either so need to ask at bar for ice if you have a drink for your room. There is no shop on site either. There is however a small stripmall with a few mini markets and cafes 5 mins walk across the park. Our room was lovely but was in need of a little TLC. The carpet has 3 brown/rust circular stains and the curtain were threadbare in places allowing light to come streaming in. The room was lovely but it is these small details where it shows it just needs a tiny bit of money spent to make it top class. We went on shoulder season and there were limited sunbeds. Would not stay here during peak season.

Buyer Beware!!! We booked a deluxe quadruple occupancy room based on the Travelocity pictures posted online. $2900 for 6 nights. Our room faced a wall with a service entrance which was used by guests and staff literally a few steps from our balcony. We had to keep curtains closed to have privacy. They would not move us and told us that is what we booked. Limited dining options that have very poor ratings. It is advertised as a beachfront, it is not a beach it is definitely waterfront but it is rocks and deep water - not ideal or safe for young children.

Gigantic, clean rooms. It's a bit out of the hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik, but can be a positive in the busy tourist season. Loved being able to jump into the Adriatic.

Das Frühstück war okay, aber nicht überragend. Die Preise der Restaurants der Hotelkette zu hoch. In der Umgebung gab es günstige Alternativen. Die Bushaltestelle in der Nähe mit dem Zubringer zur Altstadt war ein Highlight. Tipp: Wer auf die Mauern der Altstadt will, sollte den Dubrovnik Pass kaufen. Der kostet soviel wie der Eintritt auf die Mauer hat aber das Busticket und vieles mehr mit drin.

Reception staff incredibly rude and unfriendly. By contrast, Karolina, who managed pool area was friendly, welcoming and efficient. Reception staff would certainly benefit from being trained in customer service by her.

Hotel and staff have no accountability. We booked a high end room and paid premium for a King Deluxe with Balcony and Sea View room in Royal Blue only to be placed into their sister hotel the Royal Ariston. Reception didn’t know why the switch happened and they wouldn’t move us claiming it wasn’t available. Receptions advised they would get with the manager to investigate but no one ever reached out to us. Upon check out the manager was again unavailable and another receptionist didn’t care about our complaint saying it’s the same class room. This was the second time this happened. In August 2023 we booked the Royal Naptun but were at that time also placed into the Royal Ariston. For anyone considering the booking and paying extra you might want to reconsider and just book the cheapest one since it’s very likely that’s where they will place you.

We didn’t realise the Royal Blue is basically part of a complex of other Royal hotels…which isn’t normally a problem but when we’ve paid for Half Board we expected to at least dine in our hotel and not a main hub for all the hotels. We realise it was the start of the season and so probably made sense to put everyone together but had this been known prior I would just have paid to stay in one of the cheaper hotels as there really wasn’t any benefit to paying more. Also the wait staff in the hotel main restaurant need to get their act together before the main season arrives, painfully slow at clearing plates away and trying to get their attention to order drinks was also very frustrating. The hotel itself though is lovely and clean and in a great spot.

スーパーはちょっと遠いですが、バス停が近くにあって便利でした！ 20代の脚だと、ホテルから旧市街まで歩いてそのままスルジ山登山まで難なくこなせました。 お忙しいせいか文化の違いなのか、スタッフの皆さんはあまりフレンドリーな感じはしません。しかし、聞いたことにはちゃんと答えてくれるし、朝方お湯が出なくなって困った時も24時間のフロントで対応してくれました。 アメニティは基本的なものは揃えてあります。シャンプー、コンディショナー、ボディーソープ(シャワージェル)、ハンドソープ、保湿クリームは全てロクシタンのブランドで揃えてあります。とてもいい香りです！ 歯ブラシだけはありませんでした。

The royal blue was soup to nuts, inclusive, wonderful customer service and anything you needed was provided promptly. The hotel guests were also very friendly and understanding of language barriers.

Staff very helpful, rooms clean and food was delicious

This hotel is amazing!! The view from our room was incredible. I don’t know how you can beat a sunset view like we had! The staff were amazing and helpful. The spa offered lovely packages for couples as well as solo treatments. The gym had a cable machine, smith machine, dumbbells, a multi use machine and cardio equipment. Everything we ate was absolute fire. This hotel is not the closest to old town but a 20 minute cab ride will get you there! The front desk can call you a cab. The viral cave bar is only a 5 min walk away and there are many other dining options along the sea wall if you fancy eating off the resort. Highly recommend this property!!

Wonderful staff and the sea view is amazing. Our flight was cancelled due to storms and staff helped us out.

Top tier hotel! The room was great, bed was very comfy. We had a late flight on the day of checkout and the hotel kindly allowed us to store our luggage and still let us use the resort facilities. Would highly recommend!

Had a lovely stay here for 5 nights. The hotel and surrounding areas are immaculate. We stayed in a balcony sea front and the view was just beautiful! Sunsets are worth a watch too. Breakfast had plenty variety and although became busy at weekend we didn’t need to wait for a table any morning. Indoor or outdoor seating available. On a sunny morning outdoor seating is fantastic. We used indoor pool on a windy day and I had a lovely massage as an extra from the spa. Drinks were lovely but like the whole of Dubrovnik everything is pricey. We ate in the Zoe restaurant and loved the seafood platter, again expensive but if you like seafood it was delicious. There was live singers there the night we dined there and that was nice too. We didn’t eat in any other of the restaurants in the hotel as we wanted to go out and about. It’s a short walk along the prom to different places to eat and bars. I used the gym facilities which was fine. Staff friendly. We didn’t use the outdoor pools as they seemed too cold but my husband did go for a quick dip in the ocean. Again very cold but staff were attentive watching and waiting until he swam back. All in all we would definitely return and would recommend this hotel to couples. Not much for children to do and not much children going around.

Beautiful locations and views. Room size great Breakfast however far below standard. No fresh fruit. No fresh juice. Machine coffee. Eggs from powder. No chef making omelettes. For the prices paid this is not acceptable.

Excellent resort with high-end services especially the 7 star! champagne breakfast is a fantastic inclusive feature. Excellent restaurant choices within the property and alongside the seaside promenade that connects various hotels and provides other dining options. Cave bar is just 5 mins walk from the property!!! You can't go wrong. We initially spent three days at the property and then finished our Croatian tour and came back for additional two days before flying back to USA. Highly recommend, try it and you will be thankful. Dr Rajani

Location for a sunset and if you can afford a high floor sea view then great. Negative 1) At no point in the booking process did it state you eat breakfast in a food hall with 3 other sister hotels. It felt like you had to fight for a table to eat and protect it. If I wanted a package holiday, we would have booked one. Honestly this was the awful part of the 5 night high end price. 2) Brown stains in the middle of the carpet and cigarette burns by the wardrobe doors. 3) 4 picture on the wall, 3 needed attention. 4) Black out blind full of holes. 5) No complimentary bottled water daily in the room, and chargeable coffee pods 6) Roof top pool bar has no food facilities "kitchen was broken" 7) No wine on arrival, Gold Status "bottle of wine", I had to ask for it. Avoid room 5302 Royal Blue
