Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Hollister by IHG

Check in took a very long time for just 2 people in line in front of me. Room was fine. Broken elevator when our room was on the 3rd floor was ridiculous. Breakfast was so-so.

We usually love Holiday Inn Express but this one was terribly lacking. The worst part was NO hot water in the shower. Now, you don’t know this until you are taking a shower. At which point, we just stayed in the room and went to bed. We did call and tell the front desk, also the shower head was leaking but all we got was a “ I don’t know why you don’t have hot water, I’ll have to ask my manager”. Never heard back-then there was the whole hotel waking up at 230 to a fire alarm. Never heard why. Breakfast was just disappointing-not much there. At the price point-you’d best find another hotel

I booked this hotel because they have a pool, but the heater was not working and the water was so cold that nobody could comfortably use it. The shower in our room broke twice during our stay so we ended up taking 'sponge baths'. Breakfast was OK. Room could be more clean. Staff were helpful, but this hotel had too many problems to overlook.

This hotel cannot handle too high of an occupancy there was no hot water to shower. When I called the front desk they said too many people were using the water and to wait maybe an hour and try again. Pretty crazy to me to expect guest to wait an hour for hot water.

I’ve stayed here several times for work and have always been happy with the room. The breakfast buffet isn’t great but free breakfast is always appreciated. I am most disappointed that they’ve started charging for parking. This is a rural town with plenty of parking lot space so I can’t help feeling nickel and dimed to pay for parking. The fee isn’t high but it feels like a blatant money grab. The Fairfield hotel across the street has better breakfast and free parking… just saying.

Pool was freezing cold. Bedding was filthy. Staff was not friendly. Breakfast was very good.

We arrived back at the hotel at 2pm after a 5 hour hike. There was no hot water for our showers. We said something at the desk. When we returned from dinner later that evening, still no hot water. We were told that’s just the way it is when they have a full house.

Nice property with helpful staff. $5.00 per night parking fee wasn’t much but seems ridiculous for a small town.

Updated, clean, very comfy beds and different pillow options, hot breakfast is a plus. Indoor pool was too cold to swim in.

Clean , pretty new hotel, but outside very smelly , wasn't bad sheets ready , so i went to reception and bring it by myself, also pool was out of order, but we booked this place because they have pool . So our kids got disappointed. Beds were comfortable .

Room was quiet. Hair on bathroom floor and sink. Breakfast was adequate. Nice gal on evening shift. Could not get a receipt at checkout.

They didn’t clean the room daily. Second day they said they’d have someone clean the next day. The next day they skipped our room again. Cleaning service lacks.

Our room smells like pee and we didn’t know where it was coming from than my husband had turned off the AC but we got hot so he turned it back and and the whole room smelled like pee, we believe someone pee in the AC unit and that’s why it smells so badly, the breakfast was excellent exactly for a hotel, the inside was very nice and clean overall a nice hotel oh and our girls went swimming which was nice to do the pool was a good size, we got to our room and the blow dryer didn’t work so we had to air dry our hair, no one was at the front desk we called a few times to complain about the blow dryer not working, and to tell them our room smelled like pee no one picked so we had to sleep in a smelling peeing room.

Very clean, quiet, and modern hotel. It’s adjacent to downtown Hollister where there are bars and restaurants. Would stay here again.

I did not have my room cleaned while I was here, the breakfast was favorable and fresh.

!!! Very noise, I could barely sleep. I can hear every step from people above me. I am not sure whether it's only my room but good luck with you if you decide to stay here and remember to bring a sleep ear buds.....

The room was super clean, so kudos to the cleaning crew and the breakfast was a nice touch. I found some of the front desk staff as not very friendly. Also, on night two, our above neighbors sounded like mating hyenas so our sleep was constantly interrupted so their very squeaky bed.

This place is surprising for a Holiday Inn. Clean. Stylish. Good beds. Good pillows. Free wifi and free breakfast.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will stay here again, especially since our grandkids moved to Hollister. We have two complaints. There’s not much to watch on the TV. We don’t expect to have all the streaming channels offered, but we were hoping to cast from our own devices to the TV in the room. Also, there isn’t enough counter space in the bathroom to keep shower necessities.

Our bathroom door was very squeaky. Room 414. Got up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and woke my family up. Please put some WD40 on that door Thank you.

Good expirience. I would reccommend them to replace the mini fridge to a less noisy one. I had to unplug it in order to sleep.

Overall, I had a very good experience. Alex, the person who checked us in, it was very polite. The only two slight negatives for us were about noise—I could hear the people walking around on the floor above me and muffled talking. The other issue we had was the TV — it only showed older movies and all WITH commercials. We could not watch regular TV ( ex news or sports) or movies uninterrupted

It was a simple and tasty breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very spacious.

Front desk staff didn't welcome me, just said how can I help you? didn't provide any information for breakfast times or pool times, I asked about breakfast times and he said "7-10" well I almost missed breakfast on Monday because he didn't said 7-9 on weekdays. I had to ask about pool times, he was in a rush to help others during my check in. My room was not cleaned and the housekeeping lady said "we're busy on Sundays sorry" she was nice to at least change the trash cans and provide new cups and towels. The kitchen lady was very nice and felt bad they didn't told me the right times. The only friendly front desk staff was during check out on Monday 4/7 around 9:30 am

We had a great start to our stay but then my mom slipped and fell in the tub. There were so mats or safety grips on the tub floor. I was already concerned due to the shower curtain not containing the water (it was all over the floor, and I had to mop it up). I had to call 911 to help get my 90yo mom up. When I told the front desk I may need a later checkout (I explained what was happening) she informed me we would be charged. Mom was taken out by ambulance. Thankfully we didn’t need to have a late check out. Very disappointed in their professionalism. She didn’t even inquire as to my mom’s conduction when we left. Had the tub been non slip we would have had a chance to enjoy our trip to visit friends. Now, we are leaving the ER and headed home. Do better Holiday Inn!

Excellent stay! The property looks new and everything was clean. Alex who checked us in was friendly and gave us an excellent t restaurant recommendation for dinner too!

Amazing staff. We got in late with 3 kids but staff made checking in fast and easy. Breakfast was pretty good. Will definitely be staying here again.

I booked option book now pay later at property. I was about 2 hours out of town heading to my destination and I get an alert that I was charged. I checked my account and see that I was charged half the cost of my stay. Which was only 2 nights. I called the concierge and she didn’t know what happened and called it a “glitch” so I asked what time is check in and she said 4 PM. This is Hollister CA and they are not allowing checking in until 4? That’s ridiculous. But whatever. I get there and check in at around 4 and the rest of the bill was charged. So my full 2 nights and deposit were charged. Next morning I wake up and I get charged again for another nights which was 178. So by this time I’m already charged a total 534 and that’s not including the holding deposit. I call the front desk and front desk said they will have the manager call me when they go in which was in 10 min. This is at 8 in the morning. I finally get ready and go to the front desk to talk to front desk and the girl says she’s the manager. I was annoyed and said I’ve been waiting for you to contact me about the issue with my bill. She said “oh yeah, we were just looking at that “ which was 3 hours later. So I’m annoyed and asked what are they going to do about this because they charged me twice without my permission. She said the refund will take 7-14 business days. I just stared at her with an obvious look that showed I was not satisfied. Her customer service was horrible. I won’t be staying here anymore.

Our check in time was at 4 PM. We checked in around 4:15 and our room was still not ready. We waited until about 5:20 and asked again and were told it would take a while. After asking, they gave us another room that was ready with the same layout that I had booked. Other than check in everything else was great!

The facility is new and clean. Great breakfast in the morning. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. Staff is friendly and helpful. My only complaint is there isn’t anything to do within walking distance.

Brand new hotel! Exceeded all my expectations. Kids loved the indoor heated pool. Excellent location 35 mins away from Pinnacles national park and 15 mins away from casa de fruta.

Beautiful newer very clean hotel in convenient location about 45 minutes from East Pinnacles National Park. Comfy beds and linens. Nice pool and fitness room. No jacuzzi tho!! Allowed us to check into our room early. Nice full breakfast included but we checked out early a.m. so they offered us yogurt and cereal to go! Friendly staff! Highly recommend!!

New hotel with great amenities. Spacious room with comfortable bed and pillows. Location is within close proximity to local dining and shopping. Easy access to highway.

This place was not easy to find. We arrived at night and it took us awhile to get there from Hwy 101 to 152. The staff was welcoming, room was modern and clean and great breakfast from 6 am-9:00 am.

Nice place in Hollister. Would stay here again if I were to go to Pinnacles National Park

Perfect spot to stay for visiting the national park.

Out of 5 days stayed in a row, the coffee was only hot on 1. That was Saturday. Then it was thin and taste-less. Very much like tea. Asked the morning desk and t g e response was, "...that's what we've got." So my overall is do not ever expect hot voffe at this hotel.

We arrived for breakfast 30 minutes before closing time and all the hot foods were empty, bread choices were almost depleted, pancake maker was not working, coffee creamer was empty. Extremely disappointed and would not stay there again. Only saw 1 employee working the breakfast room.

Beautiful new looking Hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I highly sugfest starting the weekend breakfast at 6am not 7am. This hotel has a lot of hikers for Pinnacles NP. We statt early. The entire reason we stayed there was for the breakfast we did not get to take advantage of.

The hotel is new and very clean but seemed majorly understaffed. The complimentary breakfast that everyone seems to be raving about, and why we chose this location, was such a disappointment. They ran out of food completely by 9am and wasn't restocked until 9:30 right when they closed the doors and wouldn't let anyone eat the food they just put out. Coffee was out too! This hotel was priced higher than others in the area and so I expect the breakfast as part of one of the amenities. Very disappointing.
