Overall all was good and the hotel location was in the nice neighbourhood and close to the metro. The room was quite small for us with two people. No laundry in the hotel but the ith 5 min walk laundry service is available 24 hours a day. The breakfast was not as we expected. They have already chosen the sandwich for you. One coffee per breakfast. If you want more than one, then you have to pay.

Hotel and rooms worn down and dirty compared to APA in Osaka. Staff also not as friendly. towels were grey and looked 10 years old, cleaning staff very sloppy. Floors NEVER vacuumed for 9 days and saw they only have a lint roller for carpets!! Means carpets are filthy!!. Noisy old AC. Never changed sheets for 9 days and gave one excuse after another. Rude front desk. Osaka APA was superb…won’t be back to this one!

Room was not cleaned daily though it was advised on the day of arrival, so the guest had to wait until the third day of the 7-day stay, to have clean towels and fresh toiletries. Certain hotel staff at counter may need training as when guest asked for location directions, he showed lack of keenness to explains. With a not so conveniently location (over 1.2km) to main train station, this hotel should provide a local map with a clear hotel position highlighted in the map, and it only required one piece of paper from the hotel. The guest got one copy from the counter later on only when asked for the map from the counter. The map itself though, did not clearly highlight about hotel’s location such as the route to Tokyo Station as an example. On the day when the room was serviced (finally after having stayed for two nights), the guest returned from a log exhausting trip and found a long black hair sitting next to the pillow, yuck. Since the guest is a male and had no visitors, just wonder what happened? Overall floor cleanliness is not so good as the guest got dust in hand when trying to pick up a personal belonging dropped near the bed. Improvement is required, please.

Easy check in and check out but not worth what we paid ($140 USD). Nice area but a 10 minute walk to a subway station. AC didn’t work. The bathroom was cleaned well but the room wasn’t. Various splatters on the walls which clearly hadn’t been cleaned. There was some kind of sauce on the carpet by the trash which also had not been touched. The back of the TV and surface behind it were very dusty. We did appreciate 2 kinds of pillows per person (one firm, one soft). Bed comfortable. The rooms were sooo small: UNREAL! The first room that they gave us was on the second floor, with no view of the city but a view of a next door building, a few feet from that window!!! My husband and I told the administration that we will NOT TAKE a room like that and asked for a room at least with a window to the city view… Because of that, APA gave us the 11th floor room, with a nice view but the room was extremely small.

Pretty grim hotel but in nice, quiet area on fringes of Ginza. Staff unusually miserable for Japan and unpleasantly aggressive when they thought (wrongly) I had stayed over my check-out time. I had been forced into a late, very expensive, booking so got fleeced too. If APA are going to charge four star prices for their hotels, they might invest some of it in staff training.
