The room I was given had a broken shutter blind and was stuck half way down the window . Which meant you could only open the window a tiny amount It was excessively hot during my visit ( 32 degrees ) - I asked for the window to be sorted but was told it was broken - I knew that . I then suggested a fan at least in the room . Was told I could have one but should go to reception myself to collect it. Very difficult to be in that room at that temperature . On a more positive note : the gentleman who served breakfast both days was really helpful and made me feel very welcome . The hotel is also in an excellent location . Such a shame the experience was marred by the window situation

During my check of the accomodation, I checked the reviews and all of the reviews mentioned that the hotel is extremely hot in the summer as there is no AC. Now the reviews were already 2 years old and the hotel always replied stating that they are working on updating their rooms to beat the heat. They have done exactly nothing. It was 30 degrees Celsius at night, and even with an open window it did not cool off. They did not even provide a ventilator or anything to help with air flow. Furthermore, the hotel is located at an extremely busy street full of beggars so having an open window meant we were up until 4-5 AM because people were screaming in the street. We ultimately checked out after 1 night (earlier than what we paid for) and the guy at the front desk did not even ask why as they definitely knew what the issue was. A big rip off as the hotel was pretty expensive for the ‘luxury’ three stars. Should be more like 1-2 stars max. Definitely spend the extra 20 EUR to be in a Best Western or similar hotel one block further to be able to sleep.

Definitely a place for those who prefer old-fashioned charm, but not tacky at all. Unfortunately the lift was broken when we were there, and we couldnt find any heating or a/c controls, but the room was very comfy. Decent breakfast, friendly staff. We did enjoy it overall.

Came here for the Olympics. There was bed bugs on the matresses. Staff was incredibly rude when coming back late ( you don’t get a key card. You leave the key with the staff) after buzzing around 130am and he threw his hands up annoyed. It’s the Olympics in Paris. the place also had a smell. Would never recommend

Traditional interior as per picture. Clean room, great daily housekeeping. As a family of 5 with young children, we required taking multiple breaks thru out the day, location cannot be any better. Staffs are outstanding, extremely helpful, we were stranded from eurostar power issue. Hotel has been kindly offer us the room we stayed for an extra night. We have made the best choice of our stay! Highly recommend. Thank you

Sadly, this hotel didn't quite live up to expectations, because of poor attention to detail. The curtains were too small for the window, so light came through. And the shower gel was completely empty. Also, a plate had been left on the desk, which was very odd and made me wonder how thoroughly it had been cleaned and prepared.

L’hôtel est bien situé, le petit déjeuner est bon et le staff est cordial. Cependant, certaines chambres (notamment la 4) sont mal desservies par le wifi, l’eau est tiède au mieux (pas froide) au printemps, et il n’est pas possible de savoir comment régler la température de l’eau de la douche (trop chaude pour moi, impossible de trouver comment faire en sorte qu’elle soit froide). Par ailleurs, les chambres n’ont pas l’air climatisé et les nuits peuvent donc y être très chaudes (ça a été mon cas). Enfin, et c’est le plus grave : le staff de l’hôtel ne se soucie pas du tout de savoir comment le séjour se passe ou s’est passé et n’offre aucun moyen de donner du feed-back à l’hôtel directement. Je ne suis au final pas sûr que cet hôtel mérite ses 3 étoiles

Ideal location for rail travellers, only an easy 15 minute walk from Lille-Europe station and less than 5 minutes from the Grande Place. Spacious and quiet room but ensuite facility extremely small and cramped. Staff were very friendly and helpful..

The hotel was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is perfectly situated for access to the Grand Place, and the Christmas Market in Place Rihour which was the main purpose of our visit. Only a 5 minute walk to Lille Flandres station and 10 minutes to Lille Europe is also very useful.

Great hotel right near the old town and easy walking distance from Eurostar station. Staff very friendly and helpful, made to feel really welcome. Arrived early with intent to store luggage, but room was ready so they let us in early. Only down side was no kettle in the room to make a cuppa when i woke up.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral im Zentrum und recht nahe an den Bahnhöfen. Unser Zimmer war sauber, ruhig und mit einer guten Doppelbettmatratze und einer großen Bettdecke ausgestattet. Frühstück haben wir nicht in Anspruch genommen. Wir haben dort zwei Nächte verbracht und werden gerne wiederkommen.

The hotel was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Het grote voordeel van dit hotel is dat het werkelijk in het centrum is gelegen, mijn reden om het te nemen voor die ene nacht dat ik voor het werk in Rijsel was. Maar het is wel een oud hotel, met een prachtige oude traphal. De kamers zijn wel ooit vernieuwd en dus OK. De krakende houten vloeren zijn charmant. De ontbijtzaal is wat verouderd, en het ontbijt is niet in buffetvorm en dus een beetje basic, maar je kan bvb wel een omelet krijgen. Het bed was OK (maar te warm deksel), de kamer erg ruim, en ik had geen straatlawaai.

L’hôtel est très bien situé, proche de la gare de Lille Flandre et du centre du Vieux Lille. Nous avons pu visiter tout à pieds. Accueil et service super, chambre très confortable et spacieuse. Seul petit défaut : je m’attendais du pain frais au petit déjeuner, ce n’était pas le cas. Dommage.

Emplacement central. Joli deco revisitée. Chambres fonctionnelles et spacieuses. Petit déjeuner un peu pauvre pour le prix (14€). Les œufs brouillés omelette etc en supplément donne un service un peu mesquin pour cette prestation.
