Best Western Plus Amarillo East Hotel

This hotel was probably one of the best that we have stayed in. The staff was extremely friendly and always willing to help you with whatever you needed. The rooms were nice and clean including the carpet, which is always a plus :-) the pool and hot tub was nice and clean… We will definitely be staying here again.

Do not stay here if you are passing through. The parking is not secure, and our U-Haul trailer was stolen off of our car between 12-6am. Per the police, this is a regular occurrence. Trailer was found within 3 hours of police report being filed.

The night receptionist Katie was great. The shower was in terrible condition. The corners need to be cleaned with bleach, they had build-up of pinkish crud. Maybe it was puke or anything else. It was disgusting. The floor of the shower was very concerning how dirty it was. One of the towels I used was a little crunchy. I hope it wasn’t used already. The pillows absolutely sucked. They were tiny squares and too firm. The covering on the window didn’t provide privacy, it was see-thru.

Very new and clean. Staff is super friendly. Very accommodating to dogs. We didn't use the pool or hot tub but noticed they had a lift so that is helpful for those with a disability. Nice, clean property. We wpuld return.

New hotel, everything still looks new. Breakfast was nice, simple items. Happy hour in the evening for a quick beverage.

Rooms are big and spacious.. Good hot tub and swimming pool.. check in was not very friendly.. But check out was amazing. Low voice and sweet girl.

Convenient, clean, bed was comfy, guest laundry a welcome amenity for long trips, gym, pool, free breakfast, cappaccino machine in lobby 24/7, lots of amenities and friendly and accommodating staff.

The hot tub was the best. Most hotels offer hot tub and pool. And most the time the darn hot tub is out of order. But not here. And the breakfast was really good. Had a good variety of breakfast. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Hotel is very well kept up. We got here during a snow storm, and we enjoyed watching the snow while swimming in the heated pool and hot tub. We enjoyed the pool area very much. The rooms are spacious and nice. Excited to check out the breakfast in the morning. So far, I would definitely return to this property for an overnight stay.

No off street parking for trailers. Had to park on the street and walk a half block to property.

Really clean room (small stain on bedsheet) and everything was new. Front desk was efficient and helpful. I'll stay here whenever in town.

Staff was friendly. Floors in room were sticky. Used couch bed and when opened it there were toe nail clippings in the bed. So gross. Was ok for a one night stay.

Awful smell on 2nd floor and last but not lease had cockroaches in restroom!😡

When we first arrived to the room there was dog poop on the floor and it was hard so had been there for some time. I picked it up and flushed it down the toilet. The grout in front of the shower was filthy

Upon arrival - Shower floor dirty, hair on hardwood floor, UNUSABLY slow WiFi, bag labeled “spare pillow” had a set of sheets/no pillow, cup rings from previous guests on coffee table, room had an unpleasant/not fresh/mildewy smell, both TV’s respond to one remote causing cross-device confusion, complete inability to cast despite claims of offering such. A lot of disappointment in every direction.

Very clean and new!

Property is a little confusing to turn into, as you have to turn into another hotel’s parking lot first. Very clean and modern, friendly staff greeting us every time we came in or stepped off the elevator. Room was clean and nicely updated with lvp flooring, but it has a sliding door for the bathroom that doesn’t lock, and leaves a big gap in the opening, so depending on who you’re sharing a room with it can be awkward. Great value overall, would definitely recommend.

Room was great. But noisy; lots of noise from the lobby all night long in room 106. Also, the shower design is stupid; dumps a ton of water into the floor of the bathroom.

The bed is stiff and the pillows are really small

Hotel appeared to be almost brand new, however; there were cuts in the upholstery of lobby furniture. My room ceiling had visible water damage, the bathroom sliding door was off track, and there was a cup taped to the smoke detector.

Didn't get a chance to try the breakfast, but would definitely stay here again. I like the size of the room and bathroom as well as the lightening.

Updated and very nice! I’d prefer a tub, but I forgot to make sure our room had one; however, the shower was very nice. My only complaint was the pillows were terrible-very lumpy.

The staff was absolutely amazing, both Wednesday and Thursday during my conversations with them. Specifically, Katy and Estella(?) were unbelievable. Can't say enough good things about them. My rooms were excellent. Very clean and comfortable. Appreciate everyone's efforts in making my stay GREAT!

fire alarm went off at :15 am. Hotel evacuated, then went bact end after fire department left. Never heard a word from staff. Will not return to that location.

Booked a king room. When we arrived after a very long road trip we were given a double queen and told that we could not change it because we booked thru Expedia. First time that has happened to us in years of travel. Very disappointing.

So we arrived around 9pm after 12 hours of driving. No one was at the counter. After waiting about 10 minutes, I called their number online and asked if someone could please check us in bc we have been waiting! She says she will be right there. After about 3-4 more minutes, she finally arrives. She has this look of irritation like we were an inconvenience to her!!! She also had somewhat of an attitude. Well we get to our room for 5 people, like I paid for, and had only 3 towels. I had to go back down to get towels. There were also cleaning supplies left on the counter in the bathroom. The bathroom door not only doesn’t lock, but it doesn’t shut all the way, so you have a 2 inch gap allowing anyone walking by the bathroom door to see inside. For the price for this hotel, you can find something much better.

Hello, I am writing to formally file a complaint and request the immediate processing of a refund regarding a serious safety incident during our stay at Best Western Plus Amarillo East. During our stay in Room 305, the front desk mistakenly issued our room key to another guest. As a result, a strange man suddenly opened our room door and entered our room while we were inside. This was extremely frightening and completely unacceptable from a guest safety standpoint. After this incident, our room key stopped working and we had to return to the front desk to have it reset. Because of this situation, we felt unsafe and were unable to sleep properly for the remainder of the night. In addition, the Wi-Fi was not working and the neighboring room was very noisy, further affecting our stay. We were told by the hotel manager that we would receive a refund and that we would be contacted by phone. However, we never received a call and no refund has been processed to date. This was a serious security failure, and we are extremely disappointed that the promised resolution has not been honored. Please process the promised refund immediately and confirm it in writing. If this matter is not resolved immediately, we will have no choice but to escalate this issue through corporate guest relations and other appropriate channels. The staff are amazing.. very friendly and really helped me during an unplanned stay. This hotel is pet friendly and mango made friends with everyone.. thank you so much.. you make a wonderful team

John at the front desk did an outstanding job at check-in. He also went above and beyond when my wife's computer mouse needed a battery. Great property that gives full-service hotels a run for their money!

Clean and great location off of the main hwy that wasn't too expensive. Highly recommend for driving through Amarillo.

Good, near lots of resteraunts, very convenient.

Hotel and rooms were excellent. However, we were pulling a small UHaul trailer and we’re not allowed to park in the parking lot, under threat of being towed. Had to park on a side street 100 yds away.

This is a great location--on the outskirts of town, and literally a stone's throw from I40. Despite that proximity, the room was very quiet.

Good customer service, clean rooms. not the best area. Had unwanted man come into the building while we were checking in. Would definitely recommend not to leave any thing in vehicles to many people walking around the parking lots.

New hotel with easy access. Well lit parking lot made me feel that my vehicle was secure. Rooms were large and clean. Easy check in and out. Staff was friendly at check in. There were plenty of food options close by. Free breakfast was a nice touch. Overall a great stay.

Hotel is very nice, clean and staff was super nice. Area hotel is in is very dangerous. If staying go inside and don’t come out until your leaving lol

I recommend this hotel if you need a convenient place to stay near Highway 40 on a cross-country trip. Clean, convenient, and professional.

A few fast food restaurants near the hotel. All within walking distance. Very close to the freeway so access is easy. Road noise is minimal.

GREAT ROOM! GREAT BREAKFAST! EASY CHECK IN!!

They had no breakfast items left 30 minutes before breakfast end and there was no one around to ask for coffee at a minimum

Everything was clean. The breakfast was good. But the pillows were horrible. They were small, flat and lumpy.

The breakfast was underwhelming with prefab egg things. The coffee was very good. The tv was very confusing. We were never able to find the major networks. There should be a guide that identifies the networks. Also, the remote had a button for Netflix, but it was inactive. We enjoyed activating our account at another hotel. It’s a good amenity to offer.

The only thing that disappointed me was the limited breakfast options. They used to serve a hot breakfast. Now it is only heat and eat Jimmy Dean sandwiches.

I went to breakfast 8:30am on Sunday morning. Pretty much everything was out and even coffee pot was empty. The attendant was trying to supply as quick as possible. I wish if there were one more helper at the pantry to ensure keeping food and coffee are available for everyone.
