Room was not really cleaned, could not use the pool, water was freezing, asked to turn the heat on it and they did not.

Our room was nice and so was the breakfast. I expected more though, from a higher priced hotel. I booked 4 rooms for us, our children and grandchildren. We had a wedding to go to so I called to ask if we could check in a little early to get dressed before the wedding after traveling all day. The lady was super nice and said no problem - she will make a note on our account. Well, when we got there, they were glad to let us check in early as long as we paid a $25 fee per room. There was no mention of a fee when I called in advance. Upon check in I also learned that the pool doesn't open until 11am (which conveniently is also check-out time). One of the major reasons I picked this hotel was for the pool time with my grandkids. We planned to swim in the morning before we got back in the car for a long drive. No such luck. The fitness center was also closed. The door to my son's room wouldn't work correctly so he was "upgraded" to a suite. Unfortunately both the room and bathroom doors to the suite had to be lifted to close correctly - and there was a weird section of the room that was lower than the rest like the building was coming apart. I'm not normally a complainer but I splurged on this hotel to have something really nice for our family and it didn't fit the bill. When my husband complained at check-out they did refund the $25 but over-all I was disappointed.

Our stay at this hotel was superb! We greatly appreciated that the pool was open until midnight for adults since we typically arrive late from the road. The pool was clean, as was our room and all the main areas. We appreciated the fridge, microwave, TV, and air conditioning. I also appreciated the benches outside in the smoking area. Upon arrival, the person at the front desk was visibly frustrated from a previous customer, so she was accommodating, but not very friendly. We greatly appreciated the breakfast spread! Overall, we loved this hotel and will recommend it to others, as well as stop by again!

Elevator not working. Pool was empty, unusable. Had to carry luggage to second floor. Property is a former Country Inn and Suites, all furnishings were old and date. Cigarette smoke blowing into room through the bathroom fan. Ice machine on first floor broken. Breakfast - so-so.

Breakfast was hot with a good variety. Rooms and facility were clean. Pool heater was broken unfortunately. The only issue i had seen was some stains from water damage on the ceiling in the hall in one area. We wiuld stay again.

The bed was great. The shower curtain smelled. The shower didn’t drain well. The staff at the desk was very friendly. Overall decent for the price. The pool is NOT heated. Brrrrr

The location in Austintown has several eating and entertainment options in the near vicinity. The front desk staff was especially nice. The room was clean. On the negative side, there were several things that were "out of order," including the fitness center, the ice machine, and several washing machines in the laundry facility.

Hotel was dated a bit with pool located off lobby which caused some humidity. Room was larger than expected with great TV. Bathroom was clean but had broken shower curtain rod. Fridge leaked and was slippery. Breakfast buffet was poor.

The heated pool was not real warm, bathtub did not drain properly, the plug for the bathroom sink was broken. The exercise room was closed...equipment was broken. It is definitely dated, but the check in staff was very nice

Everything was good except the pool was closed. They should have to mention on the web site that the pool is not available. Many people choose a hotel based on having a nice pool to swim in.

The area and hotel felt safe. Hallway rugs are deplorable. Stained and dirty. Room was OK sheets were very scratchy bathroom toilet wiggled when you sat on it. Don’t know if I’d stay again. Staff were nice though.

One of the best hotel stays in quite a while. The breakfast buffet was stocked fully and was different every day. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. I would recommend this for your next stay.

This is the worst hotel stay I have had. The room smelled - generally bad and someone had definitely smoked there. It was hot and the a/c wasn’t fully functioning. It was dirty - hair in the sink, on the floors, etc. furniture was old, stained, the couch and chairs were unusable. The desk agent was very nice but could do nothing & the manager doesn’t work weekends and was not reachable. My brother’s room was also dirty and smelly, so this was clearly a broader issue. I left feedback for the manager but have not been contacted and have not been refunded for this horrific experience.

Filthy if we hadn’t gotten there so late after a long drive we would not of stayed. I felt like I had to wear slippers to walk on the floor. I would not use the shower so I washed in the bathroom sink.

The room was fine however there were mats and big horseflies around. The bathroom is outdated with no decent water pressure, and mold around the walls.

Staff was nice but there were crumbs on the couch when we entered. Bathroom mirror was stained and furniture scuffed and very dated. Carpet was stained and scuffed throughout the building.

Got to the room and it smelled like mold, food on the floor, bathroom door wouldn't open all the way, old pizza box on the table from previous people, stain on everything Did not stay, left went to different hotel

My room was spacious, clean. The bed was extremely comfortable along with the pillows.

The staff was helpful and friendly, the hotel itself shows its age. Room design was nice, with sleeping area separate from the rest, but the bathroom ceiling looked like it was ready to cave in, and the toilet didn't flush correctly.

Room was spacious. Water pressure in shower was horrible. The hallway carpet was very dirty and elevator floor was very dirty. Front desk clerks were very kind. The breakfast was nice and services great. The hotel needs some serious updating.

Ice property and friendly staff. Rooms were quiet. I would recommend getting a room facing the back of the property. Rooms to the front have a lot of light coming in at night from the well lit Parking lot.

Very spacious room and sitting area. Bed was so comfortable. Staff very friendly and no problems with checkin. Can't wait to see the full remodel! I hope the price stays affordable after all the updates. If so, I would definitely stay again.

Staff was great. The room felt dated and worn . Could use a refresh of the furniture and decor.

Fast, friendly check-in and I found the room spacious and clean. There's a number of dining options within an easy walk near the property. Really great for short-term stays.

Room was clean, bed & pillows comfortable. Not busy but due to flight I got there early, they wanted me to pay to get into my room 2 hours early. I waited in the lobby. At 1 hour prior to check in time they let another couple check in but didn’t have them pay. I spoke up, women wasn’t nice but then let me have my room 25 minutes later. Really? I come to the Youngstown area often but I will be looking for another hotel because of this.

Traveled most of the day, when we arrived only an hour before established check-in time, was told unless we paid an early check-in fee of $25 we needed to wait an hour. Other than an oceanfront beach resort, we were never turned away from checking in a bit early. The rooms were clean and friendly hotel staff.

I don't normally write reviews but after my stay at Wingate, I wanted to share about a wonderful experience! We arrived late (3:30am) and our reservation had been automatically canceled. The person at the desk quickly took care of it though and got us situated. The room was clean and spacious. We were in town because our daughter had a baby. I work from home and had meetings so I asked if we could work in the breakfast area after they were done serving and they said absolutely. They were very kind and accommodating! All of the staff were polite and friendly. This will be our hotel of choice when visiting our daughter!

Crystal made the check in pleasant and solved a problem. Very professional. Will stay here again.

We checked in late(8:30pm). We had been traveling 13 hours and when we pulled in an employee was outside the front door smoking on her phone. We went in and it turned out she was our check in girl. She asked my last name and never said a word to me after that except… elevator around the corner and when breakfast was…… felt bad for interrupting her smoke break

Location is excellent. Right off I-80. King room is large and comfortable. Nice bed and pet friendly. Free breakfast was nice too. Hotel was perfect midpoint for my road trip

Just over all a solid choice for the area. Pricing as a little high but not ridiculous, amenities were nice. Lots of options for dinner near by.

This hotel is convenient to I-80. It is a clean, no frills place to stay. The rooms I’ve been in are all spacious and comfortable. I will say that it’s noticeably aging and not quite like some of the other Wingate hotels where I have stayed in the past. Faucets could stand to be replaced or repaired and there are noticeable areas of paint peeling, cracked sinks, furniture and doorways in the rooms that have been banged up, etc. However, I will stress that it is clean, comfortable and adequate for my needs. I would stay here again if I am in the area. It is a good value for the price.

I have stayed at a lot of Windham Hotels but this one was not at all up to your standards. Took a shower and the shampoo and conditioner dispensers were empty. No kleenex in room. When we went for Breakfast there were no plates (they had none) and no tea to drink (I am allergic to Coffee). Belgian Waffles were advertised however no waffle maker (Its one of the reasons we stay at Windhams). not sure I will stay at one again.

They offered egg and sausage and french toast type breakfast. The rooms had decent beds and pillows that's very important. My room was a suite it had a living room and bedroom...I paid 107 dollars and it's better than what I'm used to. The sheets were high thread count. I was very pleased.

Breakfast was horrible. It started at 6am ,we were there at 6:15. Pancake maker out of batter and the gravy for biscuits was curdled and tepid, almost cold. Bananas were very over ripe. We just left taking coffee to go. Our bed was ok.but squeaky bed frame.

Nice motel with a vintage look. Room was nice and quiet. Check in girl was very nice. Breakfast was excellent.
