It's a great hotel, clean and beautiful, with friendly staff. Great pool and jacuzzi, and picnic area. Giving 4 stars because the area outside of the hotel is a disaster - the streets are lacking asphalt, all broken up, and is high on the hill, restaurants and everything is pretty far away. Difficult walk OR drive anywhere. But the hotel itself is of impeccable quality, no problems.

We used the Castillo (nice architecture theme) as a base to explore the area. Great location if you want to stay away from the tourist noise. With a small car is easy access up the Pedregal 'hills'. Stunning views, sunsets & sunrises! very peaceful and quiet evenings at the swimming pool deck & spa. Some construction noise around in the afternoons when we stayed, but we were out exploring and didn't bother us. Don't miss a dinner at the top restaurant terrace at sunset, priceless!

Great, quiet location. Happy to stay here when doing a lot of activities/excursions. We loved being close to downtown. Super handy. Great pool and jacuzzi. Very helpful front desk. Clean enough that I can’t complain. Nice to have a full kitchen.

We LOVED this property but weren't too thrilled with the very steep incline drive. There wasn't really any place to walk to nearby for food or to pick up some beer & bring back. The bartenders at La Luna next door were very helpful by selling us beer on ice along with condiments. LOTS of steps to climb but absolutely gorgeous views, especially in the evening! Bummer that the jacuzzi wasn't working. Great & helpful staff with very reasonable rates...

Nice enough place. Very nice staff. Quiet. Unable to use the hot tub or pool because of accessibility. No steps or railings which made it impossible for elderly people with accessibility issues to use. That was very disappointing. Have to use uber or taxi as it’s not a pleasant walk to anywhere again for elderly folks.

Really awesome place. They provided everything we needed: great views of the city, quiet (not in the party area but close enough to get there if you would like to) and staff was very hospitable and responsive to any needs. Room exceeded expectations, with a relatively large kitchen which included a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, and cabinets. Back patio was comfy with adequate privacy, and the pool/balcony/deck area was quite scenic and large. The hotel is in an interesting, quiet pocket of the city which is due to its sloping, elevated terrain that can be quite difficult to navigate on foot for some people (some roads are dirt, as well).

Todo muy bien!! Superó nuestras expectativas. Muy amplio y limpio, con refri, cafetera, tostadora, hornillas. En el área de alberca hay jacuzzi y el agua de ambos está caliente. Muy bonita vista y un restaurante al lado. Lo único malo es que para bajar a la Marina forzosamente necesitas transporte, caminando no se puede.

Comfortable bed and it was nice to have a full kitchen but wouldn't recommend for light sleepers. You can hear a lot of what is going on in the other rooms, even though there are only 6 rooms in the hotel. The pool and hot tub was the best part about the hotel, but the hot tub needs a lot more than the advertised 15 minutes to heat up. If you are planning on walking from the hotel to downtown Cabo, it is quite a trek up a very steep hill.

We loved the view and the amenities. Something different - the hotel is so high up and offers a beautiful city view. Amazing flowers around the hotel, hot tub, BBQ with bar, nice pool.Didn't like the room - big and bare, old not so clean sofa, poor kitchenware.

We have been to Cabo over 25 times and have stayed at all kinds of accommodations in the area, but this hotel has won our hearts. Housekeeping is fantastic (our room is spotless) front desk staff are so kind and helpful and the view we have is unreal. The area is tranquil and the pool area is clean and well cared for. This is officially our go to spot in Cabo from now on. If you are thinking about booking…do it!

We arrived on Saint Pat’s Day in the evening & we were greeted nicely by Irma and Ryan Patrick even though we don’t celebrate the holiday. Their credit card machine wasn’t working that night to charge us for our room. I asked to have the charge split between my friend and I. Ryan Patrick said yes no problem. The next day no one was there to charge our credit cards for the room. We entered the room and the floors and counters were dirty the first day, but we did not say anything because we were too tired and busy meeting friends. The bag pipes were very loud & annoying until 10:30pm. The next day my friend had three friends visiting outside using the pool and spa. It’s a great view. Jesus on staff and other helpful Mexican staff turned the pool light on and offered to turn on the fire pit. My friend etc. were not loud or disrespectful. Jesus and staff accommodated my friend & her friends while I was still at the beach. At 7:45pm when I came back this tall white man who didn’t identify himself and we have no idea how he is associated with the hotel said everyone has to leave except those staying here. I just returned from the beach. He threatened to call the police on us. This place is racist and no other guests were present and we were not bothering anyone. Unknown white man proceeded to charge my credit card without me being present & didn’t call me, leading to a fraud alert on my credit card, & other issues. Irma is not your friend. Ryan tried to help.

Irma the concierge was excellent. Very helpful and friendly. Staff was very friendly. Location is about 35 min walk from Medano beach, so be aware of that, and it is at the top of a steep hill. Good for exercise but not if you have difficulty walking. The restaurant on site is Italian, not Mexican food. The room was good, very spacious, very nice view of town and ocean. Price was affordable.

Property staff was awesome, really nice people, very helpful, check in and check out was fast. But I must say, when I booked the Deluxe room with Ocean view, I expected an ocean view. The pictures on Expedia need to be updated. There is a new building structure in front of the hotel, which has taken the ocean view away for most of the hotel. The pool is nice, the room was very clean and had everything we needed. Its a small hotel but very comfortable, and very quiet.

All staff was wonderful, the receptionist very knowledgeable and provided with a lot of good tips and recommendations. Place is beautiful, it seems like the pool area was just for us, because we were only a few steps away. I have 2 recommendations; One is to put a full mirror and the other one to put a tv in the bedroom (we love to watch TV in bed).

Muy bonitas y amplias habitaciones. Sin embargo, NO tiene casi nada de vista al mar. Aunque yo solicité y pagué por una con vista. Tuve que pararme por la puerta de vidrio para ver un “pedacito” de mar solamente. Así mismo, pedí hacer check out un poco tarde. Nada amable me respondieron que si, a las 12:30 del día, pero con un cobro de $300 pesos. Eso nunca me había pasado. Siempre hay tolerancia. Aparte de que el hotel estaba a menos del 20% de ocupación ese día.

This is an absolutely great place to stay in Cabo. We felt like we had the entire place to ourselves most of the trip. The pool was great and about 10 steps from our room. It's a short walk into downtown if you want to experience some night life or restaurants, but we took full advantage of the kitchen and really enjoyed staying at the hotel. The staff was fantastic and friendly. I could go on and on, but if you like a more quiet place to have a little more romantic type of stay this one is hard to beat. Not to mention the Italian restaurant on-site is wonderful with a view that overlooks all of San Lucas. 100% will be back. The room was a wonderful size and minimalistic in a great way.

Irma was the best. Not only did she check us in but took us to the room and showed us everything we needed to know. Very personable and at your beck and call. Ryan was also very pleasant to deal with as well. Our room was perfect. The view, the balcony, the kitchenette, cleanliness, and just what I envisioned when looking for a place. Definitely will stay again when in the area. The restaurant Luna was the frosting on the cake. Don’t miss it. Staff caters to us from beginning to end.

Muy bonitas y amplias habitaciones. Sin embargo, NO tiene casi nada de vista al mar. Aunque yo solicité y pagué por una con vista. Tuve que pararme por la puerta de vidrio para ver un “pedacito” de mar solamente. Así mismo, pedí hacer check out un poco tarde. Nada amable me respondieron que si, a las 12:30 del día, pero con un cobro de $300 pesos. Eso nunca me había pasado. Siempre hay tolerancia. Aparte de que el hotel estaba a menos del 20% de ocupación ese día.

Irma at the front desk went out of her way to not just be friendly but practically helpful. The owner should be proud to have her working with his company. All staff are exceptionally friendly. La Luna restaurant was terrific and on site.

The staff Irma and Sonja were exceptional! They were very accommodating and easy to deal with. Very nice quaint boutique hotel with lots of character. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Great location easy to walk to marina and Medano beach.

Giving 4 stars because the area outside of the hotel is a disaster - the streets are lacking asphalt, all broken up, and is high on the hill, restaurants and everything is pretty far away. Difficult walk OR drive anywhere. But the hotel itself is of impeccable quality, no problems.

Irma the concierge was excellent. Very helpful and friendly. Staff was very friendly. Location is about 35 min walk from Medano beach, so be aware of that, and it is at the top of a steep hill. Good for exercise but not if you have difficulty walking. The restaurant on site is Italian, not Mexican food. The room was good, very spacious, very nice view of town and ocean. Price was affordable.

I really liked the inn and it’s location. It was a beautiful and perfect place to stay away from the huge crowds of people by the typical resorts/hotels. It also gave us more opportunities to explore downtown shops and restaurants. If walking is difficult then one can order a ride to and from the inn. We generally walked downtown for all of our meals so lots of walking. We also ate a couple of dinners at the Italian restaurant on site.

We LOVED this property but weren't too thrilled with the very steep incline drive. There wasn't really any place to walk to nearby for food or to pick up some beer & bring back. The bartenders at La Luna next door were very helpful by selling us beer on ice along with condiments. LOTS of steps to climb but absolutely gorgeous views, especially in the evening! Bummer that the jacuzzi wasn't working. Great & helpful staff with very reasonable rates...

Property was very well maintained. The associates were wonderful, everything worked as expected no poor substandard issues. Other than the workers updating the property we totally enjoyed our stay. The worker did do there best to minimize the inconvenience. We were still very pleased with the hotel and would recommend it to anyone who has a car to come and go as the hotel is on the hilltop and it can be a steep walk up. However you are reasonably close to the marina and and there are many shops and restaurants on the way.

Really awesome place. They provided everything we needed: great views of the city, quiet (not in the party area but close enough to get there if you would like to) and staff was very hospitable and responsive to any needs. Room exceeded expectations, with a relatively large kitchen which included a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, and cabinets. Back patio was comfy with adequate privacy, and the pool/balcony/deck area was quite scenic and large. The hotel is in an interesting, quiet pocket of the city which is due to its sloping, elevated terrain that can be quite difficult to navigate on foot for some people (some roads are dirt, as well).

The road leading up this hotel, either way, is rough and because it is on a desert mountain it has that type feel. The condo’s recently built in front of it definitely impede a full view of downtown, yet allow Much of it to peak through. It is best to have a car to stay here. We have stayed here twice this year as a go between our resort stays that do not properly overlap.

Comfortable bed and it was nice to have a full kitchen but wouldn't recommend for light sleepers. You can hear a lot of what is going on in the other rooms, even though there are only 6 rooms in the hotel. The pool and hot tub was the best part about the hotel, but the hot tub needs a lot more than the advertised 15 minutes to heat up. If you are planning on walking from the hotel to downtown Cabo, it is quite a trek up a very steep hill.

This hotel is a hidden gem I was not expecting to like it so much cause i usually stay at ocean front hotels But the ocean view from this hotel is awesome The price is actually unbelievable for such a nice big room The hotel restaurant Luna italiana and the restaurant employees are great the food is excellent Also worth mentioning the amazing singer at the restaurant, he is great specially when singing opera we really enjoyed it

Beautiful spot on a hillside above town. Nice view of the coast. Quiet and comfortable. Coffee in the room, full kitchen. Friendly staff. Great restaurant above the hotel that also has a great view of the coast and it’s walkable or there’s a golf cart to take you the short distance up.

This is an absolutely great place to stay in Cabo. We felt like we had the entire place to ourselves most of the trip. The pool was great and about 10 steps from our room. It's a short walk into downtown if you want to experience some night life or restaurants, but we took full advantage of the kitchen and really enjoyed staying at the hotel. The staff was fantastic and friendly. I could go on and on, but if you like a more quiet place to have a little more romantic type of stay this one is hard to beat. Not to mention the Italian restaurant on-site is wonderful with a view that overlooks all of San Lucas. 100% will be back. The room was a wonderful size and minimalistic in a great way.

Very clean and a great place to stay at! The property is on a steep hill so we enjoyed it because it gave us a little workout every day 😅 The staff are very friendly and helpful! All the furniture is outdated but everything worked. The kitchen is well equipped, we stayed in room 3 with direct access to the pool and jacuzzi, and a pretty nice view. Unfortunately there is no soundproofing and you can hear everything! 2 out of the 6 nights we stayed here, and the very early morning (4am) of the day we checked out, we could not sleep because of the very loud squeaking noises, wall banging and other sounds that where coming from room 6 (right above us)! Mentioning that some of the other rooms on those specific nights were vacant, and it seemed an isolated case that room number 6 entertained loud activities at a property advertised as quiet and appropriate for families, with quiet hours, further away from the night life of Los Cabos. This was unfortunate since not self inflicted lack of sleep (like going out and partying and missing hours of sleep) put us off track for next days’ activities.
