Multiple restaurant were temporarily closed. The regual restaurant were not olen daily which was kisted no where in the webisttez. Loved the hotel - fantastic food, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful room and view, with a well-equipped gym and relaxing spa. I highly recommend treatments from the wonderful Nestor at the spa- the seaweed wrap and hot stone message with reflexology were especially good. So relaxing! The only downside is the Dreams Dolphin Discovery - I just don’t agree with breeding cetaceans in captivity - rescue/sanctuary yes; captive breeding to live in captivity no. It’s the only thing about the place I didn’t absolutely love. We stayed for 17 nights and loved it.

Staff is amazing food is also great the hotel Itself needs some updating as well as the rooms, we had a room where they were remodeling upstairs and it was kind of noisy but overall the swim up rooms were the best

We (fam of 4 plus Mom) just got back. Minor issues phone not working ect. They are attentive. Might take a day, but they are a "make it right" property. We did not do the excusions this time around. With it being fall you were guaranteed about 3 hours of rain mid day. However, numbers were fantastic at dinner. Zero wait, plenty of space at the pools. Food was excellent! Preferred is the way to go. Gets you into the preferred pool which is a quieter environment. Lots of activities at the main pool as well. We dove into what was offered. Magic show, karaoke, and the fire show was our favorite. This resort is nestled in this neat marina town. We walked a good amount and rented a golf cart. Resort was great! This was our first with Hyatt. Would totally go back. Staff was outstanding. 10/10 Get the family room. The two beds on the one side are DOUBLES. If your kids are big kids, plan accordingly.

Overall lovely place, great entertainment, kind people, very nice beach and room. We found the restaurants underwhelming, with Portofino being the best. We loved the chef in El Patio, but it was buffet style and like the others, not veg friendly. The chef kindly did something special for us, but clearly was not set up for this. I’d love to see them upgrade El Patio for more variety and sit down dinner, since we are in Mexico after all. There was a Mexican cook out night on the beach, which was festive. Drinks at the beach were decadent and very relaxing. My only major complaint is that we were ambushed upon arrival with “a welcome package” asking us to see another hotel and give them feedback for comparison. We thought this was a strange request from a big resort. They enticed us with free rides, a couple hundred bucks, very pushy and aggressive before we unpacked. Finally when we had them promise it would not take more than 90 minutes, we agreed. The rub was they were actually trying to sell us membership dues into their resort system where we’d pay them for years. We gave a firm no, which was not accepted. Then comes sale person number 2. Thinks he is sweetening the deal. 90 minutes pass, I am starting to see red. More offers, pressure, calculations. No. Then comes the old timer. Really angry and aggressive. Berates is for wasting his sales team time. Ha, it is funny now. Don’t take greeting packages or strange offers from Dreams unless you really love overpaying franchises

The staff was nice. Food is terrible. The Italian restaurant is the equivalent of pasta out of a can. Pool was green with bugs. And don’t try to leave, they won’t refund you. Worst hotel ever. Also, many people smoking illegal substances on balconies, so you can’t even enjoy a smoke free environment. Save yourself the hassle and go stay at a motel.

Food was sub-par and my room smelled like mildew. Rooms are nice and big just smelly. The stocked bar is not really true. You only refill the soda/waters and not the liquor. The staff is amazing and so nice!!

Dreams Aventuras is a very nice resort. Pros: 1. The entire staff (and I mean every single person who works there) are extremely helpful and friendly. 2. Staff very responsive if called for assistance (they respond within minutes) 3. Our room was always ready and taken care of (Thank you Maria - you are tops) 3. Very clean and well maintained 4. Explorer Club for kids (we had our 9 yo -she loved that) 5. Enclosed bay for swimming and snorkeling 6. plenty of lounges available by pools and beach Cons: 1. Food was ok but not what expected as compared to other resorts (we have stayed at several) 2. Excursions from resort were very expensive considering what you got. (i.e. $505 for 4 1/2 hour snorkel with turtles (lasted about 25 minutes) and swim in a cenote (about 25minutes) small meal and relax on beach for about hour (which is what we were doing at resort anyway) - the rest of that 4 1/2 hours was drive time in a very packed small van. 3. The free Playa del Carmen shopping tour provided by host was ok except we were dropped a few blocks from the shopping district, which made for a very hot start to the shopping, and once again the van for this was packed, had poor suspension and limited AC which made for a horrid ride with and aching backs by the time you returned.

Food at the restaurants was not good only place that had good foor and drinks was on preferred side. Its great resort for families with small kids but not for couples or families with older kids, not much to do. Beach was nice but water too shallow for swimming. Natural pool was great. Pools were not clean. Staff was great. Room was nice but it smell like mill due.

The resort was wonderful! I booked the Deluxe Pool View King and didn’t even realize it had a spiral staircase that lead up to a separate sitting area. A very cool surprise! If you are looking to stay somewhere that has a relaxing/chill vibe, this is the place to go. The only downside for me was the small pool. The resort has 2 swimming pools, but one is for preferred members only. I love lounging by the pool and soaking up the sun, but I could never find a spot. Also, if you’re someone who smokes, it is prohibited on the property. There is a designated smoking area outside by the entrance/parking…But I would definitely stay here again! :)

We took advantage of the Spa 3 times while we were there. Julieta is AMAZING! I highly recommend you book your services with her! The hallways tend to echo into room.

Our family of four had a wonderful 8-day stay this month at Dreams Puerto Aventuras. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, friendly, and helpful. Our rooms were spacious and clean, there were several restaurant options (no reservations required), and a beautiful beach area. The pools were also clean and well maintained. Outside the property is a marina with multiple restaurants and shops, all within walking distance, and we felt safe walking through the entire area with our children. The only caveat I would give to prospective guests is this (and this is no fault of the Dreams staff, just something to be aware of): we were offered an option to tour another Hyatt resort in the area - in exchange, we were told we would get breakfast at the other resort, a tour of Tulum afterwards, and two tickets to Xel-Ha to use another day. Dreams staff did tell us "they'll try to sell you something," so we thought we had an idea of what we were walking into. We figured we could handle sitting through a high-pressure sales pitch in order to get a couple of tickets and save $300. This was the first time we'd ever done something like this so maybe this is the norm, but it was wild and so, so uncomfortable. I'm limited in characters here, so I'll summarize by saying it wasn't the 90min tour we were told we were taking - it took us 3 1/2 HOURS to get away from the Hyatt Vacation Club sales staff and get them to agree to let us leave. Not worth the $300 in tickets we were given.

I stayed for four nights, and while the room was clean, that’s about the only positive part of my experience. The food was downright terrible, and the drinks were so weak they might as well have been alcohol-free. On top of that, there seemed to be absolutely no noise control. I was kept awake night after night by loud music and people shouting until 2–3 AM. It was extremely frustrating and made it nearly impossible to rest. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing stay.

I didn’t like after traveling for 9 hours I had to be checked in at the 7th floor just to wait another 35 minutes to be checked in. We had a vip room that smelt like mold with clear water damage to it. The shower has the lowest rain head. I’m 5’6 and still had to bend down to get into it, and the pressure was very weak. I wouldn’t stay again at this property again. It’s not worth the price for what is included. I will say the staff is fantastic.

We (fam of 4 plus Mom) just got back. Minor issues phone not working ect. They are attentive. Might take a day, but they are a "make it right" property. We did not do the excusions this time around. With it being fall you were guaranteed about 3 hours of rain mid day. However, numbers were fantastic at dinner. Zero wait, plenty of space at the pools. Food was excellent! Preferred is the way to go. Gets you into the preferred pool which is a quieter environment. Lots of activities at the main pool as well. We dove into what was offered. Magic show, karaoke, and the fire show was our favorite. This resort is nestled in this neat marina town. We walked a good amount and rented a golf cart. Resort was great! This was our first with Hyatt. Would totally go back. Staff was outstanding. 10/10 Get the family room. The two beds on the one side are DOUBLES. If your kids are big kids, plan accordingly.

We have stayed in larger resorts, which may offer more amenities, but none surpass the customer service offered by Dreams. The quality of customer service we received from the very beginning, which was before we even arrived, was simply outstanding. We have never once in all of our travels been asked what our needs might be in advance of our arrival, those needs were met as well! Yanin Rodrguez, Christiane, and Paulina were simply outstanding in their customer service through our entire stay. We were given a full explanation of the facility upon arrival, another remarkable feature.One negative was closures of 3 restaurants for private functions while we were there. Another is not enough lounge chairs on the beach, which is characteristic of every resort we’ve stayed in regardless of the Island or resort. Overall, we loved our ocean view room, housekeeping was superb; the warmth and charm of a smaller hotel was very much appreciated. We look forward to a return in the future, and would highly recommend this resort.

We have visited Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya twice now, over the last few years. It's a great resort, not too big. Not fighting over pool chairs like a lot of places. Kids loved the water slide. We enjoyed having the Preferred Club pool option. The service was amazing, everyone so nice and helpful. Paulina was great, always around to help and give me advice on activites and the resort, whenever we needed it. We had the resort help us with family photos also, and they turned out great. I am confident we will be back to Dreams Aventuras!

I am writing to express my frustration with several aspects of the service and amenities during my recent stay, which was far from the level I expected as a preferred guest. Firstly, when I attempted to rent a car, my experience was disappointing. My friend had rented a car the day before with ease, as the front desk handled everything and had the keys ready within a few hours. However, when I went to the front desk, I was told to download the car rental app and handle everything myself. After being brushed off, it wasn’t until my friend showed up and intervened that the staff finally cooperated. This lack of support was frustrating, especially given the smooth process my friend experienced. In addition, I had a troubling experience with room service. I called the designated number five times to place an order, but my calls went unanswered each time. Only after calling the front desk to request they transfer me was I finally able to place my order. To be ignored repeatedly was incredibly frustrating, particularly as a preferred guest who expects better service. When scheduling hydrotherapy, I was told there was only one available time, and the front desk staff was rude and dismissive, essentially telling me to "take it or leave it." They were super accommodating about letting us access the amenities 3 hours before check in while they got our room ready for no extra charge and late check out - they offered us a hospitality room to use so we could store our luggage, shower, and change before leaving for the airport. What a gift to be able to enjoy some bonus time on the beach before heading home to the snow.

The property was very clean, staff was great. The food and drinks where okay. I liked that the property was smaller and easy to get around. I liked the fact of being able to walk or take a golf cart around the town. Felt very safe in puerto adventures. The marina and the dolphin area where a very nice place for a morning walk. The only suggestion for improvement is to air condition the sushi bar area. There was not good air flow and it got a little warm in there. My favorite restaurant was the Italian restaurant. Overall had a good experience and would consider going back.

From the moment we got to the resort we were met with wonderful hospitality. We booked though Expedia and they upgraded us to Priority for free which meant we had access to a private pool, restaurant, and spa which guest without priority do not. Albuerto was our concierge and he was fantastic! This resort was very theraputic, relaxing, and intimate. It was also in its own gated community which had many amenities. The biggest con of this resort was the food, and beach. If you are looking for high quality of either of the prior mentioned this may not be the place for you however we were able to look past that due to the amazing staff and the vibe the resort had. Extremely clean and wonderful entertainment at night, this is a small resort compared to other options, so you will not get the big party experience but rather meet some people you might run into once a day. I would recommend this resort for individuals with young children who may want to try out an all inclusive resort but not worry about getting lost or having to walk a mile to get to your room/bathroom, or couples who are looking for a more low-key vacation experience.

I know never go by the pictures, but honestly nothing like it. Half of the restaurants were closed. Food not great. Was probably one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed. Only good thing was the staff, they were very friendly and attentive always.

Nice resort. Rooms were clean AC worked well. Staff was very friendly. Food was not good, we went to every al la carte restaurant and they were almost all bad food wise. We expected cruise type food and it did not even meet that expectation. We would pay extra for a resort with edible food options.

Room was clean, comfortable and the stocked mini bar and snacks, as well as the nightly chocolates and turn down service were very appreciated. The restaurants were wonderful, selection was good and food was decent at the buffet. A little disappointed in the seaweed on the beach, but that’s not the fault of the resort, in fact they were working hard every day to clear what they could. The Barracuda Bar was the best spot in the evenings! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this resort!

Great staff, great service. Lobby bar and preferred pool bar are excellent. Easy and friendly check in, rooms were cleaned and stocked every day. Food choices and night entertainment need improvement. Out of 5. If hrs only 2 nights had decent shows. Wish they had dinner buffet . Also, we were not able to see a doctor in sure when we needed.

LOVED this resort. Traveled with my husband and two young kids and this was the most amazing resort and perfect for our family vacation. The staff were extremely friendly, kind and so helpful. They literally wait on you hand and foot here which made our trip even more relaxing for mom and dad. There’s so much to do, shows, dance parties, activities, things for the kids to do. The property is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. Our room was stylish, modern and very clean. Highly recommend getting the preferred suite with the swim up pool, That was a game changer for nap time with our little one. We could hang outside at the pool and waitresses came right over with food and drinks for us. The restaurants were average, which is expected at an all-inclusive.
