Wyndham Omaha Hotel - West Dodge

VERY disappointed that Pool was "closed for renovations," Bar in lobby was not open, and no decent restaurant in walking distance, DID apprecuate daily updates on road construction in area, made it easier to find, Room was large, comfortable, clean and quiet, ditto for bed, Slept well, Breakjfast was disappointing, Price was OK, but amenatiles were lacking. Close to 680,

The entire property is old and in some places it shows. The room and bathroom were clean and the beds spotless. So who can complain. The pool is big for a hotel.

The WiFi doesn’t work.

Clean and all was good except the pool was closed. Ended up switching to get a pool for the kids

The pool was closed for renovations. We specifically booked this hotel for the pool. We talked two days beforehand to be sure the pool was open. They told us it was, so we booked our room and then the next day it’s closed. The employee wasn’t apologetic. Just simply stated it’s closed for two weeks, here’s your paper to sign. Our room key also stopped working during our stay. We were on the sixth floor and had to come back to the front desk where the employee didn’t even talk to us during that interaction. The room was clean, hotel was clean, breakfast staff was great. The front desk was awful.

The listing shows a bar included but the bar is permanently closed.

Everything was fine, only the wifi has no sign throughout the building.

I didn't like that there wasn't a gym or it wasn't as visible as it could've been. I had looked and looked for it and couldn't find it at all.

Carpet in the room had stains all over it. There was mold, dirt and other debris in the shower. We didn't even attempt to use it. The toilet set was barely attached to the seat. The beds were so worn and you constantly rolled towards the middle. The walls were thin and we could hear everything the people in the room next door were saying. The pool had good potential and was large however the water was so cold my kids lasted 15 minutes before their lips were blue and they were shivering. Only one person at the front desk and took 20 minutes to check in as there were several people in front of me. Breakfast had very few food options or variety. Bagels and toast but only butter or peanut butter. No jelly or cream cheese. The only hot food option was waffles. There were only apples, yogurt, danish or muffins, and a couple cereal options. The milk for the cereal looked water down and not appealing.

Wyndham was nice... Room was spacious and comfortable temperature (big stain on carpeting, but okay!). Only disappointment was that pool was not available. Our stay was Friday and Saturday nights, and we called on Wednesday to check on the pool (many reviews said pool was not available). Was told that pool had been renovated - and was done... just waiting on inspectors who were due in that day. It was not available when we were there. If pool is not available - just let the guests know. Breakfast was good and room was a very good value.

Place was dirty, lightbulbs were all burnt out… booked a suite with a sofa there was only a chair… tv has no channels, front desk would always say they were out of all laundry when asking for towels…main floor had a huge leak and carpet in middle of hall was soaking wet and no one seem to care to clean it… sealing plaster was falling in the room…I would never go back

I cannot believe anyone could possibly leave anything positive about their stay here! From the entrance that had overflowing garbages to a dirty room, it was tge worst stay we've experienced. Yes, you get what you pay for but the positive reviews, caught our attention. Our room was so dirty and dusty, asked to be moved without success. We were on the 6th, 20 cars in the lit, and we couldn't change rooms? The furniture was soiled, the footstool looked lije it had been attacked bt a cat...just remove it. The bed had such a large dip in tge middle, slept clinging to the sides. Bathroom was dirty and to top it off...no hit water on a Saturday morning. Do not stay here, its just filthy!

The toilet was moldy, urine in the seat when we got there. Sheets and comforter were both dirty. Would not recommend this hotel.

The outside had folks hanging around that were drunk and/or high. The bathrooms had hair in the sink and tub. Hotel needs cleaning throughout.

My recent stay at this hotel was disappointing overall. The continental breakfast was very limited, offering only waffles, bagels, bread, cereal, apples, and yogurt. There were no eggs or protein options, and the tables in the breakfast area were sticky, as if they had been wiped down with syrup. On top of that, the smell of marijuana from other guests in the breakfast area made the experience even less enjoyable. The room itself left a lot to be desired as well. While we were upgraded to a room with two queen beds, one of the beds had noticeable stains, so we were glad to have a second option. The pillows were either rock-hard or so flimsy they could be folded in half, and we were only provided two towels despite having a two-bed room. The tray in the room still had sticky food residue on it, the AC rattled constantly when turned on, and there were hairs in the bathroom upon arrival. Overall, the lack of cleanliness and attention to detail really stood out and made the stay less comfortable than expected.

My mom, kids and myself checked in Wednesday night. Once we got to our room we noticed an unpleasent smell. The carpet was dirty and frayed and there was a wad of hair in the bathtub that looked like a rat. I went down to the front desk and requested a new room. Once we got to the new room we already could smell a difference. It wasn't perfect, but it appeared to be cleaner than the first. That morning we went down to breakfast and much to our surprise their hot breakfast consisted of waffles, bagels, toast and cereal. All of the tables were so sticky that once you put your plate down, it actually got stuck to the table. We also requested more towels as we only had 2 in the room. The front desk staff said they didn't have any and to check back. We did and still no extra towels. There was an ice machine on each floor however, only the machine on 6 was working. And even that one was falling apart. There must've been a leak in the bathroom above us because the tile ceiling was all stained and there was mold on the caulking in the tub. The hall between the front desk and elevator had a huge water problem and the carpets were soaked. We ended up leaving a day early because we couldn't get any towels. For 3 days we had to use the same 2 towels for the 4 of us. I requested a refund and was told I would be receiving one however, I have yet to see it. I would not recommend staying in this hotel.

Awful lysol/cleaner smell, broken/cracked sink, broken curtains, no toilet paper, broken grate on heating/cooling unit - did not use, fluttering lamp, took forever to get checked in, continental breakfast was almost non-existent, etc. Would not recommend to anyone....

Right when we parked in the parking lot we were met by a drunk guy and his girl asking me to breath into his car ( like WHAT) and not only that he was gushing blood from his face (yes he was right in front of the hotel in their parking lot). We went inside to check in and got our room only to be met by an insane amount of cigarette smell. Got to our room and it had clearly not been cleaned all they did was make the beds. The toilet literally had pee on it… the shower had no hot water, we turned on the heater to warm ourselves up just to think the hotel was on fire due to the immense smell coming from the vent due to the heater. The bathroom had someone’s hair all over it, the shower head was rusty/moldy. There was a bloody booger on the wall by the toilet. The carpet was filthy. And the charging plugs didn’t work.

I was completely suprised about the quality of Wyndham. Check in was good. Staff at desk very friendly. However, the codition of the roomtook me by suprise. I could not hang anything in the closet because the clothes rack was hanging by one side. The otherside was not connected to the wall. Sa,e with the toilet paper spindle, barely hanging on the wall. Found gum paper on the floor ans a hole in the wall by the bed. The driveway is in bad shape with potholes everywhere. Lampshade were all hanging at an angle instead of neatly placed back on nice and straight. I dont think i will stay there again.

Really this hotel isn’t bad. I’ve stayed here a few times. My biggest complaint I guess is the shower isn’t hot- the most I’ve ever gotten is like warm.

AC didn't work. Had to ask 3 times and they still didn't send anyone to look at it. The manager came out to the patio as we were at the pool and he is the one that finally had them move us to a new room. The heater was on when we got to that room. Took a while to get it cooled down. The morning desk attendant was nice. The one during the afternoon/evening was rude. She didn't try to hide the fact that she was completely annoyed with having to be there. Openly rolled her eyes at myself and other customers. I had to scrub the shower before use. There were false eyelashes on the night stand that were not mine. The refrigerator did not cool and the coffee pot did not work. Breakfast consisted of yogurt, stale muffins, toast, bagels and gritty waffle mix. The smell of the rooms was awful. I will definitely not be staying here again.

Super impressed in size of room, large bed, 2 end tables, desk w chair, additional portable desk, 3 lamps, nice view 6th fl, microwave, frig, couch chair w ottoman…more. Comfy bed good sleep. Great stay.

The pool was closed because of “ph” levels but we know that was not the case because there was a huge party by the pool area and my kids were very upset and crying because that’s the whole reason we stayed there was because of the pool. The manager didn’t care one bit not comp me for the stay. I talked to a bunch of other guests and their kids were very upset too. The other guests also knew the reason it was closed was because of the party. The rooms were gross. Springs in the bed kept popping through out the night. Street lights were shining in because the curtains wouldn’t close all the way. Bathtub was very dirty. Customer service was terrible! Will NEVER stay here again!!

It was mostly ok. But my biggest complaint would be that the walls are paper thin. We could hear conversations from the next room so clear and they were speaking at a normal volume. It actually so clear that it woke us up the next morning. The “breakfast” was a horrible. Only hot option was waffles. There were no plates left for what little food they did offer. This hotel has the potential to be really nice, but definitely needs a full renovation

The staff was excellent, friendly and willing to help. The facility looked good, but the area around it was just ugly industrial, and the view from my window was not good. There were a couple of problems with the room I've never seen in a Wynham property before. The shower in my room had only cold water, and apparently that was the case with many of the rooms. My refrigerator didn't work right, and there was no container for ice in the room.

The woman at the front desk was not very friendly, pretty impatient demeanor From the outside it doesn’t seem very appealing, inside appearance is way better. the smell walking into the hallway from the lobby smells like mildew so that was kind of off putting Wifi didn’t work and for some reason our carpet always felt damp. Location isn’t too bad. I’m back and forth with this review because it wasn’t terrible but it also wasn’t very good.

I didn't even get to check in due to a $275 guest and animal deposit and when I tried to contact Expedia for a refund due to the issue I couldn't talk to a real person!!! I prepaid for my room and ended up sleeping in my car and losing the money I paid because there was no mention of a deposit on guests and non-refundable deposit on pets per night.

Therebwas an issue with booking through Expedia and they needed the manager to respond. Several times he responded through the front desk but never worked with Expedia, making himself inaccessible. Poor customer service and their check in was slow and antiquated.

Waited an hour to be checked in.

Where shall I start? Ants, not enough outlets to power the fridge and lamps. They somehow ran out of towels, and our key cards kept failing, resulting in us having to go to the front desk and reactivating them 10-15 times. Not to mention our phone also didn't work. Food is also very scarce so aim to wake up around 5:30am to make the 6 am opening but lower your expectations because the waffle machine will mostly likely be broken.

Mixed review. Our room was clean and we felt comfortable being here for multiple days. One thing that was disappointing was we NEVER had enough towels. It was 100+ degrees out so we were showering frequently. We asked at the desk, over the phone, staff in the hallway for more towels and kept getting “we will send some in 15 minutes” and they never showed up. Cleaning staff told us that we had to go to the front desk to get them. They couldn’t give us some from their carts. Finally my husband went to the front again and stood there and waited for towels. Breakfast was not horrible but limited options. It did the trick. Our key also stopped working 3 different times. So that was frustrating. But it was a clean hotel for the price we paid. We would stay there again because of how clean and cheap it was. Just know it’s not the greatest service. The staff was very nice, but communication from the front to carry out services was not good.

The worst check in process that I have ever endured. Then if you go outside of the hotel a tiny way your room key card gets voided and you get to stand behind other people checking in.Each person takes about 10 minutes. Then, there was no Internet. I rely on it. The breakfast was fine, the room was fine And yes with all of this being said, I would still stay here again.

Appropriate rooms were not available & it took 3 trips to front desk to get settled. No carts were available to bring bags inside. Long line at desk because everyone had unsolved issues

Reported room phone disconnected & they didn’t fix. Had to ask for clean towels as they didn’t replace. Breakfast sucked, didn’t keep filled up nor cleaned the tables. Very disappointed for the cost & wouldn’t stay again.

We never got passed check in. We arrived at 12:15 am, as soon as we got into town, and the staff refused to let us check in because we had “missed the check in window,” and because they were doing the night audit, they had “cancelled our reservation.” Refused to show us the cancellation or help us further, but assured us they had not filled our room, that they just wouldn’t let us into it. Ended up calling Expedia, who called the hotel and got nowhere with them, so Expedia went ahead and refunded our money. I’ve come in late at other locations before and have never had this problem. I’m just happy Expedia saw what we were dealing with and were more helpful than the staff. Ended up booking a different hotel for our second night.

Upon arrival of the property, there was a long line at the desk to check in. Since there was a line, my husband and I decided to go get some supper and then return to check in. When we came back 2.5 hours later, the line was even longer than that. Had we stayed in line the first time, we would not have gotten a room any earlier since upon our return, there was another gentleman that was in line for over 4 hours. What we ended up finding out at 10:0pm that the property had NO CLEAN ROOMS available for any of us that were in line waiting. Highly discouraged!

Becoming run down from wear and tear. Goofy roads and way to get to the property.

Location was convenient to where I was going however getting around in that location was confusing. Facility was safe but decor was dated. Facility has low level of lighting throughout. Breakfast option were quite limited. Price was the attracting feature

It was just OK. Someone said it was in the hood. It wasn't really, but it wasn't really a clean property or lobby and the staff was sloppy but nice.

I have stayed several times. The location is convenient for me. I noticed that the parking lot lights mostly were not working. This time they were. Better for secuity. Way to go. The properties landscaping could use a little updating. Several dead bushes mixed between some very nice ones. Overall a good stay.

The service was horrible i think they were low on towels and other amenities. Overall the staff was nice but the hotel was outdated and dirty. Smelled in the halways and outside from smokers and sketchy people around property as well.

Parking lot chopped up, no local dining.

Front desk was very helpful! The room smelled like cigarettes but it went away after the first night (we stayed 4) area was very nice and save, would definitely go back :)

This place was very nice. Clean, comfy beds, great service. The only thing that was lacking was the breakfast, only cereal, toast, muffins, and waffles.

Lack of quality breakfast items

My room was clean for the most part, but tables in the lobby were sticky, and breakfast left much to be desired.

Room was clean (clean sheets and towels, no visible dirt/grime) but the hotel is quite run down and the smell in the lobby/hallways/common areas was not pleasant. Trash cans outside overflowing with garbage. We check in late (9:45pm) as we got delayed by accidents. I called (and was on hold for 10 minutes) to ensure our room would not be given away and informed the front desk that we were still coming. When we arrived I was informed that the room I booked and pre-paid for was no longer available. After 11+ hours on the road and a call to ensure this wouldn’t happen the woman at the front desk was less than helpful. Not rude, but not helpful. We were “upgraded” to a double queen room and we had booked the king suite. The included breakfast was sub par, and every surface in the breakfast area was sticky… sticky enough that the paper plates had to be ripped off the table and left paper plate behind. I would not stay here again and I would not recommend staying here either.

Stayed two nights with two people. We had towels for one night. They didn't come on the room after first night to empty trash and restock coffee. Dining tables were not kept wiped, as table was sticky. Very nice hotel.

Convenient location. Not fancy, but clean and comfortable. Lots of seating at breakfast. Food choices were simple, but adequate.

Breakfast options could improve with scrambled eggs or omelets instead of hard boiled and fresh fruit. Staff very professional.

Ice bucket had broken handle. Reported it upon check in and requested replacement. Never received it. Was not informed prior to checkin that id eas required as well as $50 deposit for incidentals. That is why reported ice bucket. Don’t want to be charged for “incidental”. Breakfast items were stale.

The room was quiet and clean. The lady attending the breakfast bar took the coffee pot 10 minutes before closing time. By breakfast closing time, the bar was comletely cleaned off. The selection for this nice of hotel seemed a bit weak.
