Pool area was dirty when we got there.It was clear housekeeping had not been thru there. Our room initially didn’t have shampoo or body wash. This was remedied the next morning by housekeeping. Fridge door was open when we arrived. We didn’t notice it wasn’t turned on. Would have been nice to have a sign or something to indicate to turn it on before storing items.

This is a very nice, well-maintained hotel. The pool area especially is pleasant and we enjoyed a great soak in the hot tub. There’s a kiddie pool which provides some separation that elevates the adult aquatic experience. The breakfast is solid, the coffee is probably the best I’ve ever had with a free breakfast, all the public spaces are well-kept, the room itself was quite comfortable, especially the fluffy pillows.

In town for a college visit. Thought I booked a bigger room (tall family) lady behind the desk was quite rude reassuring me the room we were in was “What I booked” she said. Upon folding out the little couch it had what looked like bodily fluids on the sheets, popcorn, and a lid from a drink. Not exactly a clean feeling. No remote for the 2nd tv. Also the pool isn’t even 4 feet deep and FREEZING. If you have tall people we called it a big tub. One last thing…..SO MANY LIGHTS when you try to go to sleep!! It’s crazy. If you have a sensitive sleeper. NOT FOR YOU!! Just saying. For $250 and not even a 24 hour stay………..I’d check somewhere else.

First thing I noticed at check-in was an AC vent directly above the clerks desk was clogged with dirt and dust. Same thing in the bathroom of my room. These little things make you wonder why you pay $170 per night in the place. Also, after housekeeping did my room, no k kups were replaced. Called front desk and the guy said “nope, sorry, we are out”! A few minutes later he knocked and brought me some. Lastly at the breakfast, there was no juice. Another guest pointed it out and I heard the lady working the buffet say “yeah, sorry, we are out of juice”. Most expensive hotel in the area and I wasn’t thrilled with several things. The pool was very cold also. Grandson couldn’t stand to be in the water for more than a couple minutes.

Decent location in relation to downtown Winona. Pool was very busy at the time of stay. Would be great to have adult-only hour from 10-11pm. Also, offer breakfast later in the morning (until 10am).

Had to switch rooms- stains all over carpet in both rooms. Elevator and halls very hot and not clean. Waited a very long time before any one came out to front desk to check me in. Room smelled like old smoke. Definitely not worth the price at all whatsoever. Dirty shower curtains.

The hotel was nice, the gentleman at the front desk was helpful and friendly and they had a good breakfast. Unfortunately the bathroom wasn’t very clean and the sheets on one of the beds was obviously dirty.

The hotel was in a nice area, with gas, shopping & dining nearby. The hotel lobby and room were clean. During our 4 day stay, no one cleaned our room. I called down to the front desk and asked if rooms were cleaned daily, and they said, Yes. On day one about 11:00 a young man knocked on our door and asked if we wanted any clean towels. I assumed that he would clean the room later, but upon returning about midnight we noticed it was not cleaned. Day two, no offer of towels and the room was not cleaned. Day three, I called down again, by then we had no towels, our garbage cans were over-flowing and we had no toilet paper. A front desk person brought up the supplies we needed, and said someone would be in later (this was at noon) to clean our room. That never happened. Also, the breakfast was the same every day. When I've stayed at Holiday Inn Express before they change up the eggs and had cheese or veggie mini omelets, and ham or bacon. They did add dry french toast one day and biscuits & gravy the next day. (eggs, potatoes & meat were the same for three mornings) Not sure it was worth the $300+, I paid per night.

We stayed for a week over christmas. Our bed was never made. I noticed a fingernail clipping on the floor near the had of the bed that was NOT mine. We had to request the towels be changed, and we ran out of toilet paper and facial tissues which were never replaced or replenished. On the good side, the pool area was very clean and there were plenty of towels. The staff were very nice when we interacted with them. The breakfast was ok, but the coffee was nearly tasteless. Thankful for the Kwik Trip across the street! It was very convenient to stay there, and the grandkids really loved the pool, but it's good to know what to expect.

Clean & nice rooms, friendly staff, decent breakfast option BUT its right by a gas station although convenient it can get loud with the high traffic constantly passing through. Thankfully I brought earbuds but you can still hear the loud cars and motorcycles. Even with the minor complaint I would stay here again.

The room was clean, modern, and spacious. The TV was already personalized by the time I got up there, and it was a piece of cake to add to it: I ran a cord to the tv so I could stream onto the big tv. Pool, hot tub, and sauna were great. Breakfast was simple but good, and had a nice change of food,Ike omelets. They had black out shades in the room, too. Overall, pleasantly surprised by the lengths they went to.

The room was pretty clean and quiet. Nice selection of TV channels. It was very hard to keep the room at a moderate temp. It was either too cold or too hot. I think they got a bargain on preschool height toilets. Unbelievably low seats. Also they use scented products. The sheets smell, the room smells, when we got home we still smelled it. With so many people with sensitivities it always surprises me that hotels continue to use scented products. We were pleased overall. We have stayed at a competitor nearby and thought this was better. Whoever makes breakfast did an incredible job of making those omelets look and taste very good! The bacon was also done to perfection.

Great hotel, great staff, great and clean room. My only complaint which I hope will be resolved is that a $10 charge showed up on my credit card for each of the two rooms I paid for. I called the hotel, they told me that Hotels.com did not pay the full amount. I hope that Hotels.com will resolve this issue. I did receive an email from Hotels.com yesterday. I hope it is resolved. I don't think it is appropriate for a hotel to add an additional charge without my permission. I don't know who is responsible for the error, but I intend to find out.

The hotel was clean, staff was pleasant and our 1 night stay was great. Breakfast was ok. There was not hot items left on the buffet at 8am. The only thing that irritated me was an additional charge of $17.86 - " "in case i purchased one of thier snacks." This charge was not mentioned when i booked the room. They had my card information and could have charged me if i had purchased anything from the hotel. It has been 12 days since our stay and i have not been refunded that additional charge.

I do not often leave a bad review, I will just never visit the establishment again. I just want to warn next visitors to this hotel that they are not accommodating what so ever. I could go on with a list of complaints, just as well, that happened during our stay. Not one of the employees made a single effort to smile, make you feel welcome or like they even enjoyed being there.

Hotel was very nice! Front desk staff in the evening of our last night was not very friendly. We ask for towels for the pool room they acted like it we were inconveniencing them. We ask three times for towels in the pool and never got them until they shut the pool down at 11:00pm and we had to ask again. We ended up having to dry off in the front lobby and elevator on the way back to our rooms. Everything else was great.

Great location, Clean room, comfortable bed, family friendly. Smokers lounge was right by the exit doors. Breakfast was good but no one wiping tables and it was busy. Pool area needed towels.

What I liked was the bed was very comftorable. The room was great. That the pool was not open early. Breakfast started at 7 AM and by 7:15 AM you were out of eggs and coffee. I would also would have liked pancakes. My daugher only eats pancakes.
