El Trovatore Motel delivers an authentic Route 66 stop with quirky themed rooms and exceptionally welcoming owners who share local history, while trade-offs include very dated infrastructure, mixed bathroom upkeep, and a basic, no-frills setup in a convenient Kingman location.

We received a very warm welcome upon arrival, and were provided with lots of information about the motel and Kingman. We chose the 'Marilyn Monroe' room. The room was quaint, and gave an historic feel. We appreciate it is an old motel from the 1930's, however, the room and decor were tired, and in need of some TLC. Compared to other classic Route 66 motels we've stayed at, this didn't live up to our expectations. Too much Route 66 kitsch on the outside. Less is more.

Room was very nostalgic but the Wi-Fi wasn’t working correctly- it’s an old hotel as expected so no surprise there- it does needs some updating as far as plumbing goes and such- Office folks very nice:))

Check-in was welcoming and informative. We stayed in a super deluxe room (106) and it tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable and we slept well with a lite white noise (hum) coming from the heater and the refrigerator. The room heater if effective in warming the bedroom space but it does not reach the bathroom or the small sitting area that is directly under a window. The window is very drafty. The bathroom is very tiny, especially for a tall person, and there is no outlet for a hair dryer nor room to lay out any toiletries. The shower is really dark but is adequately warm; there is one little cubby for your soap. We stayed here for the nostalgia of the historic property as we wanted the vibe of our route 66 trip. I would recommend it for that reason but only if you are ok with the bathroom situation.

We have stayed here quite few times and we love it. Great rooms, so much character and we really enjoy the owners.
