Hotel Eastin Atchison

The stay was disappointing. I went to the front desk at multiple hours of the day in the night and morning in which the door was locked. the shower was broken in my room. I managed to tell a man and room service worker and they said it would be fixed in an hour. it did not get fixed for the whole stay. there was no water fountains or vending machines for beverages.

You get exactly what you pay for. This property was chosen as a last resort ... it is nowhere near the "Riverwalk" in Atchison KS. The rooms are minimally furnished (no desk), the laminate floors are dirty, the sink stopper did not work, only one face cloth, no clock/alarm, light shining in from around the door which did not seal, no dark out curtains, ...

The room had a smell, the floors were not nicely done the bathroom looked like it was in the middle of a renovation, the washer and dryer looked like they got it from someones yard after sitting out in the rain for a week

No iron no ironing board couldn't hang up- my clothes no phone in room noisy tenant

The room was immaculate! I loved that ya'll had brown towels instead of white ones and check in was fast and easy.. will definitely come again!

The room was minimal, no art on the walls, but lots of dirt. The bathroom was particularly bad. I did not feel comfortable bathing or showering I left my shoes and some socks on the floor. When I put them on in the morning, I killed 2 or 3 bugs crawling on my socks. In rating them on the 5 pt scale I would give them a minus 2. Because of the schedule I had, it was the only option open to me. Fortunately I only stayed one night instead of 2.

Booked last minute - but as said by others, you get what you pay for. Sheets had cigarette burns. Smelled of smoke even though our room was non smoking. Cleanliness, I’d give a 3/10 Shower had hot water :) 👍 Place needs repairs and a house cleaner, but overall did the job for us. We stayed last year and one guy tried to come in to our room to “clean” before we checked out. Luckily the bar was on the door lock, or he would have seen my gf naked. Felt a little creepy. Check in was easy this year, difficult last year. They keep the front area locked at night and you simply ring a doorbell for service. If you need a bed and a hot shower, this will work.

Horrible, dirty, run down “hotel”. This is not even a hotel, it’s a motel. Brown blob stuck on the bathroom wall, black scuff marks all over, sticky substance on the bedside stand, hole in the bedspread with food stuck to it. You would be better off throwing a tent in a ditch and sleeping there. It’s probably cleaner!

This place is nasty. Cigarette burns on the blankets, dirty bed sheets, floor not clean, broken toilet, holes in the walls, lamp shade busted the whole place was a filthy mess do not stay here.

This property is in disrepair and poorly taken care of. There is mold in the room and sheets had burn holes in them and stains.

Ive stayed at a lot of hotels due to travel for work. This one is by far the worst - Bed bugs, brown recluse spiders, stained sheets and pillowcases, missing flooring, dirty microwave and fridge, dirt on walls/window/door trim, and a mold smell that is due to black mold in the A/C unit. Would not even reccomend to someone i didnt like due to the health risk alone. Not to mention after finding the room like i did, i had to argue with the manager/owner to get a refund after i refused the room. If i could leave a 0/10 i would

NO WI-FI There were multiple networks with the name of the hotel, including two that were designated guests, yet they wouldn’t give the password. Kept telling me to use some unsecured Wi-Fi network called cloudtraz that didn’t show up most of the time. The bathtub was clogged and the shower didn’t get hot. Disgusting bed sheets curtains, one of the most disgusting places I’ve ever seen made all the worse with nothing to do considering there was NO WI-FI.

Would not recommend at all! Advertised clean rooms not clean at all.

For one, my husband and i could hardly understand what the staff were saying, when i called they didnt answer the phone the first time then the second time they just answered with “Hello” The room was absolutely horrible. 1) the tv and tv box did not work(this part isnt even that important compared to the other things) 2) when you sat on the toilet it would tilt forward and clack on the ground 3) you couldnt close the bathroom door unless you literally stepped into the tub. 4)the “bedside table” was a square piece of plywood connected to the wall by a 2x4 5) the outlets that we could use were extension cord zip tied and screwed into to the wall. 6) the doors wouldnt work very easily i almost fell through the door because after it was unlocked i had to shove myself into it to get the door to open 7) the chair that they had in the room was a cheap folding chair and when i sat in it, it quite literally felt like i was going to fall through it. But hey, atleast the bed was kind of comfortable apart from what looked like a decently sized blood stain on the comforter that they tried to hide by folding the comforter in a specific way WE WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN AND WILL ALWAYS ADVISE AGAINST SOMEONE TO STAY HERE!!

Room was very clean. However, the toilet could use some maintenance done. The toilet is leakin on the side by the tub and when you sit down on the toilet, it 'falls' forward. Otherwise, everything was a pleasant experience.

The rooms are nothing special poor wifi TV bed shower the basics rooms aren't perfect by any means but it's a cheap room that works I have not problem staying here by any means

I arrived at 10:30 PM and the door was locked stood outside for 10 minutes before I was able to check in. TV didn't work at all, holes in the wall

The website said it was a queen and it was infact a full size pillows was flat. Couldnt understand the person at the counter at check in. THIS BY FAR THE WORST MOTEL IVE EVER SYAED AT.

Very noisy with road traffic. The room door would stick when trying to open & close. The bathroom door would not close & latch at all. The room had a smell of mold/mildew. The floor in the bathroom & sink area was uneven & sloped to the corner. The room A/C did not work at all and room temp was well over 80 degrees. Hotel staff refused to cancel the reservation even with the A/C not working.

It's a basic hotel that gets the job done. Bed was clean, bathroom was clean, no complaints there. Slept well and wasn't bothered by any noise. The room was definitely worn, though -- especially the bathroom. Nothing that made it unusable, but people who are particular about that sort of thing would be bothered by it. My biggest critique (and, admittedly, it's very much a first world problem) was that there's only one plug near the bed. Used that for my CPAP and had to plug in phone across the room. Again, may be a deal breaker for travelers who are accustomed to lavish rooms. Despite the issues I mentioned, I would stay there again.

The owner over charged me when I checked in. It was only by $2 but still...he knew what he was doing. They never mop the floors. If you walk from the door to the bathroom it's a guarantee your socks will be black! Hotel is not badly priced through a third party sight but as a walk in you pay $20 more for a room that's never mopped!

Worst place I have ever seen. Staff is rude, swears and tries to bully customers

Was not treated very kindly when I arrived early morning. I get its not ideal to show up at 3am, but if you say you have a 24 hour front desk, don't complain when you have to get up early. Get what you pay for. Nothing more than a quick place to lay your head.

Absolutely dreadful, the owner is one of the rudest men I’ve ever met, and the area place is rundown, stay in your car before you stay here

bad property with bad customer service. all of these hotels will be a relic in about 4 more years because your customer service is soooo bad. paying $80 to sleep in one of your nasty rooms with your horrible mattresses will all be in the past when room sharing becomes a bit more popular. bad hotel.

First off, I do not stay in MOTELS but this was listed as a HOTEL. That's just false advertising. Since my daughter and I arrived at 8pm after spending the day visiting Benedictine college campus all day, I really had little chance to find another options so we checked in. The place had a SMELL to it. The water came out brown I am assuming due to rust and the parking lot was loud. POSITIVE - I will say there were no bugs, the noise did stop about midnight, the A/C worked well. I was hoping to have found a place I can stay every time I visit my daughter at college but THIS IS NOT IT!

I had a disgraceful stay at The Eastin Hotel of Atchison Kansas. They have very poor customer service , no maid, Parking lot and dishes pair no handicap rooms Very disrespectful customer service And rudeness to the guest. The rooms were in disrepair. And location is very unsafe. Not a great environment at thisthough I'd say avoid it at all costs.

Property does not look like the photos; this is a weekly or monthly rental property also; I also heard from other areas businesses that it is an hourly hotel; single females stay away

Nice and quiet

It was close to where we were going and the beds were extremely comfortable.

Looks are deceiving about this place. The room itself was clean. I will give them that. The entrance to your room is from the outside. They don’t disclose that from the pictures. There was obvious abandoned cars there and “other activities” going on. Not a safe place to stay. We left right away and went to another hotel.
