I would recommend they work to install an elevator and transition to central air. The latter is especially important since the area has high heat and high humidity. The window AC worked, but seemed to fluctuate between too cold or too hot/muggy. The front desk staff was especially nice and considerate.

Nice place. Clean room, bed was firm for my taste but not terrible. Hotel has 2 floors and no elevator so if stairs are a problem might not work well. Check in was super easy. Plenty of parking.

We were given a room that had not been cleaned by the previous occupants. Then we were given another room with a jetted tub. It had not been cleaned either. We were also informed that our privilege card would not be excepted because we booked through Expedia and we would have qualified for a senior and or military discount had we booked at the hotel directly

Obviously, it was a newer building but also very well maintained...clean, organized...no clutter anywhere. The breakfast was full of food and what was running low was immediately attended to by the staff on duty. It was truly a pleasant place to stay!

We had an issue with our reservation not crossing over from Expedia. The staff member, Jameeka (I think was the spelling), was great and very helpful. We were just having one of those nights after a long drive. The place looked nice, especially for an older building. I kind of feel like the carpet had just been cleaned in our room. It was a little musty and the carpet was a bit damp but was tolerable. The shower was a bit slippery and the water pressure wasn’t great but it worked. Otherwise the beds were comfortable and the fridge was cold. Breakfast was more than we were expecting after several days of disappointing motel breakfasts. They had a juice dispenser with orange and apple, coffee, cereal, muffins, toast, waffles, sausage, eggs (little omelets then scrambled eggs and cheese, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, bananas, cuties, oatmeal packets and yogurt. I was quite impressed. Overall it was a much better experience than our last few days and both staff members we interacted with were very nice.

The staff was great. However the TV in our room did not work, they brought another one in and couldn't get that one to work either! Very inconvenient. Then there was something in the pool area or room that gave us upperrespiratory issue's! Not happy. We left at daylight, no sleep at all!

Great place to stay. Was under renovation, bathroom exhaust fan did not work. Tub was very slippery. I spoke with the person in the next room over. Had the same issues. I’m sure once renovation is complete those issues will be taken care of

The motel is in need of updating and tender loving care. The staff need to be a little more knowledgeable about the city and recommendations of eating places and when they are open. I was given several options by the desk clerk, but all of them were closed on Monday the day I was there.

We have stayed here over the past 2 years as our children are attending the local college. Each time we have stayed, the cleanliness has improved more and more! The staff has always been super nice. On this trip, we arrived in the middle of the night and were assigned a room on the second floor. My husband went to get our luggage on his own only to discover there was no elevator to bring up the cart. The wonderful staff member at the desk helped him carry it to our room. The next day, we noticed the same staff member going above and beyond her duties!

This is a great place to stay in Atchison or anywhere! From the front desk - Calista and Jen both went out of there way to answer questions - like when I couldn't figure out the lights. Jordan took care of our room like it was her own home! We'll be back when our son graduates next year - we're on a long waiting list so we're not the only ones who love to stay here. Oh and a REAL breakfast including eggs and waffles.

The hot tub works and is wonderful! So many hotels say they have a hot tub and when you get there it's broken. We asked for a late checkout and they were very accommodating. Beds were comfy and room was clean. Very nice hotel and a great stay.
