We booked last minute for a trip to the DC area. The suite had a kitchen area (full fridge, stove top, microwave). Bed was hard. Environmental controls were set to 62 degrees when we walked in...turning on the heat gave a burning smell at first. It's a very bare bones set up. Nothing in the kitchen area (plate sets and cooking sets can be purchased at the front desk) and the bathroom had no toiletries, and just 2 thin bath towels and two face cloths. No hand towels. Building is quite secure. Pass key needed to enter hallway for rooms, for the room itself and to get in the building after hours. Coffee is provided in the early am (7-10 am). You can get coffee outside these hours if you have your own mug, as no cups are put out outside the stated hours. Best for someone staying for an extended period of time and bringing a lot of their own linens and kitchen ware. There are lots of stores and restaurants in the nearby mall, so that is convenient.

The lady was very rude Estrella she lied about availability and refused my stay because I didn’t pay at the desk and paid thru a 3 rd party the elevator was broke and we were on the 5th floor with a handicap uncle with a bad leg they are the worst hotel fire estell and Ashleigh

Staff was kind Room looks clean - BUT no one rinses the floor so it is sticky and tracks dirt. Clean towels cost $9.95 PER request - that was not on the expedia site. WiFi is not free - one device( and only 1) on low speed per day is free. Otherwise it's $9.95 a week. This is not a short term hotel. AND the exit door keypad is broken so it is propped open with cardboard or a rug - sometime you cannot get out of the door which is a fire hazard. This is our third time in several years staying at this hotel it has gone seriously downhill.

I am extremely dissapointed. Infact to me its not even an hotel. Gym was not working, even though i called and was told it was, the rooms were not cleaned at all, i virtually has to sweep and mop my room daily. its always full of peple that i will not really asssociate myself with in a normal circumstances. Men always stand outside the hotel smoking weed very late at night, which was very scary. The floor and the lift always smells of weed. I was very embarrassed taking my family to visit me by giving them excuses not to. I have to put out my own bin for god sake. I can go on and on. The only positive i can say is meeting Rick. Very good guy. The pregnant lady behind the counter is extremely rude, i will stop here for now but i will never ever set foot in a hotel like that.

I stayed there the first weekend they opened and the only issue was the elevator didn’t work and we had to carry our luggage up 5 flights of stairs but overall the stay was great. But this time the property looked very used and extremely uncomfortable. The bed was terrible, the room wasn’t real clean. The room I was in was at an exit door and was constantly opening and closing all night long. Weed smoking was going on in the building and outside the door where my room was.

Elevators did not work the entire time. I had to lift heavy items and kid to 4th floor the whole time. My pricey belonging forgotten after check out was "trashed " less than 24hrs when i called back. I believe , it was converted. I was treated better by fellow guests than hotel staff. People just need to be kind especially if clients pay for services. .

The first room that was viewed was impossible to stay due to very strong smoke smell coming from the room. I was given key to another room to look and that didn’t smell much but was sprayed down to mask the smell. I accepted it since it didn’t smell much like the one before. I brought my wife and she instantly found partially used shampoo and that was all that was in the room. No other shampoo, conditioner, or soap was given. The lady on the front desk said I should ask to get those. Next was stains and there was something that my wife found that looked like blood stain, along with also what looked like poop stains. The toilet bowl had excrement remains that was not cleaned properly. The fridge was not cleaned properly. And I was said I was maybe expecting too much. But come on, I had checked out from a hotel with similar ratings and price and it was a huge difference. I didn’t complain about any others. And for all this, I had to leave the property midway because my wife was too afraid to go there and we got a Marriot hotel and went and stayed there for the night. And I get $25 for the inconvenience. It’s insane

The staff was nice when checking in. That was the only nice thing lol. We got to our rooms, the floor was sticky everywhere. Our white socks were black on the bottom afterwards. The beds were like sleeping on a slab of rock. There were 3 of us and a total of 4 pillows only. We requested extra and didn’t get them. The pillows were paper thin, it would be different if they were fluffy. The walls were very dirty as well. Especially sad for the price, it wasn’t very cheap.

I have been a guest at the property for 3 weeks According to their website, cleaning of the room will be once a week. I have NOT had room service for cleaning the room, cleaning the bathroom or the changing the linen. The hallways and the rugs in the elevator are clean. The bathroom has a bad smell. I had to keep fan the bathroom turned on

You get what you pay for. I wasn’t expecting much and didn’t get much. Small dog in the room next door wouldn’t stop barking. Towels were dirty and had hairs on them. Cleanliness could use some improvement.

Hotel has ZERO accurate “front door” - I drove around the building and just took a chance on which door was the entry. Ridiculous!!! Checked in but printer wasn’t working so I was told to come Back tomorrow for a printed receipt. What ??? Took elevator to room. Walked to door. Tried to touch key to door and saw ‘something moving’ - bent down and saw a bug crawling - no, A ROACH CRAWLING. WENT INTO ROOM CALLED FROMT DESK INFORMED RECEPTIONIST. NOTHING HAPPENED AND I WAS TOLD… “we’re fully booked” !! Thought about going back to my car to sleep there. Inside the room killed x3 ADDITIONAL ROACHES. DISGUSTING. DISTURBING. NASTY. I WILL REQUEST A FULL REFUND.

It was a very clean place. If you are someone who likes quiet and peacefulness refrain forgetting room at the end (shocker right?) there was constant opening and closings of doors and loud banging every night. I was very unimpressed with the noises. The staff was very sweet expect for the check in lady. On these particular days I was there there was no hot water… so cold water it was. Overall it was a very clean and decent place. 7/10 I would say.

I liked that it was close to different food options. I didn’t like that the pillows were so flat it hurt my back the following morning. When asked if we can have extra pillows she responded by saying that they didn’t have any. I did not like that we had to pay for toilet paper!

The room was sufficient. The heat seemed inaccurate to the temperature setting, as it felt way too hot even when set to, for example, 64F. The shower door handles were loose. The plastic mattress protector is off-putting, if necessary. Freezer door impacts the light switch when opening and closing it.

For short stays it’s okay, but a lot of opening and closing of doors at nights into the am. Which disrupts my sleep because they would be slamming the doors. Seems like people lives there.

We arrived at this property after a long day only to be told that the property was overbooked and our three rooms were not available. Standing in a hobby that felt like it did not have air conditioning and people laying around on the couches made me somewhat happy that I could find another place. The front desk clerk was not helpful and did not suggest any alternatives. The only thing she was able to do is tell me to go to Expedia to get my refund. After a 30 minute call with Expedia, I was able to get them to begin to act on my refund and prevent me from having to pay for the rooms that I had yet to pay for. Expedia was equally unconcerned about our situation in the hassle and it led to. Fortunately, we found another place to stay nearby and I highly recommend it. It is the capital beltway best Western. The front desk clerk there was very helpful and we were able to get three rooms slightly higher of a price but of much higher quality. My recommendation is to skip this other lousy place and book with the best Western nearby. You will be happy you did.

We had a confirmed reservation. I arrived from out of town at 3 pm to be told that they could not honor my reservation because "the computer had overbooked" I was offered no accommodations nor alternatives. We had to find substitute on our own. I will never stay again at a WoodSpring Suite hotel.

I had the worst experience at this place. We got there at 2pm, no early check in was allowed. Came back at 4:30pm, two ladies on reception didn’t not acknowledge our presence, they kept talking to each other, non looked at us. We had to interrupt them. The rooms were not ready, they both had a bad attitude and couldn’t explain why they were not able to check us in. Only kept lying that the room would be ready in 10 minutes until it got to 5:30pm and nothing, no apology, no remorse so we left and got another hotel. We had planned to stay there for a week but with this treatment, we had to take our business else where. We had traveled for 8 hours. I don’t recommend this hotel at all, WORST CUSTOMER CARE and check in times.

My stay at Woodspring Suites was amazing! The entire staff were so respectful and kind, and very very helpful, especially when a woman like me has some disabilities! My room was immaculate, and I'm very picky. I will definitely be back! 😃

This place is it a good location, right next to the highway that takes you to the airport, close to the metro station and right next to a shopping plaza. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially Ashleigh, the manager. She helped me find a ride to the airport. The property itself could use a little TLC. But overall, it’s a clean, decent place to spend the night.

Hotel is close to GSFC. It has kitchenette with full refrigerator and microwave which was very handy. Bed was pretty comfortable and AC worked well. Room 402 looked over the shopping plaza and was pretty quiet. Floors were sticky and dirty. I asked to have them cleaned, but nothing was done. Room keys not working for three days. Kept getting turned off. Housekeeping needs to change the water in their buckets more often between rooms to clean the floors. Dirty buckets of water really don’t clean that well. No wonder my floor was sticky and dirty.
