Restauranten: søde og imødekommende tjenere men der er plads til forbedring. Maden: smukke anretninger men synes det ville være fint at krydre maden lidt mere. Stedet vinder på den service alle yder!

Äußerst liebenswertes Personal ist wirklich aufrichtig bemüht, dem Gast eine besondere Erfahrung zu bieten. Wir hatten die günstigste Zimmerkategorie gebucht, das Zimmer war offenbar nach der Winterpause zum ersten Mal wieder belegt, es roch etwas muffig, das Ziimmer war dem Preis entsprechend nicht besonders schön mit niedrigen Decken und recht dunkel. Wir baten um eine Alternative und wurden sehr freundlich in eine Junior Suite umquartiert. Dafür nochmals danke! Das Restaurant ist hervorragend gelegen und eingerichtet, das Essen entspricht der Beschreibung im Guide Michelin, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist im Vergleich zu Hamburger Preisen sensationell. Die Anreise mit dem Auto ist etwas diffizil, es gibt keinen Parkplatz am Hotel, man muss auf einem der umliegenden Parkplätze parken, teilweise gebührenpflichtig, an einigen Tagen komplett belegt. Es existiert ein Shuttle-Service zum und vom Hotel, der auf telefonische Anfrage in fünf Minuten zum jeweiligen Parkplatz kommt. Der Fußweg zu den Parkplätzen ist mit teils beachtlichen Anstiegen verbunden und nichts für Personen mit körperlichen Einschränkungen. Als Alternative zum hauseigenen Restaurant bietet auch das benachbarte Restaurant ‚Fleur du Sel’ eine gute Küche mit ebenfalls sehr gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. I Absolutely loved this hotel! Came here with a friend and we had the sweetest time. parking was convenient down in the village with Jean-Paul, and Samuel picked us up safely when checking in and out. they gave us a free upgrade when the hot water didn't come on quickly in our room and we were very taken care of. The chateau is beautiful! request the cossettini room ** :)

The views are stunning. My room was magnificent. There were good restaurants nearby. My complaint is that there are accessibility issues. I did know this I advance but I was expecting a walk across a plaza not a difficult, steep and poorly signed maze of stairs and allies. It gets worse. The reception AND restaurant are down a steep and winding staircase. There were also steps into my room. I'm not going to change my recommendation or rating because the hotel is wonderful and a unique experience but feel compelled to warn other travelers that this might not be the hotel for them. The staff could have been more helpful. Breakfast and room service were modest but good. Dinner was exceptional.

Property is so charming and lovely. Only build is they must must must tell you that not only is there no parking at the hotel but don’t attempt to pull up to drop your bags….esp in a larger car. Road is very narrow. Property should send specific details upon booking to let guests know but after that blip was fantastic

Adorable hotel tucked inside a medieval village. The rooms are well-appointed and thoughtfully updated (AC and an elevator), while still keeping that fairytale charm of the town. The restaurant was outstanding with fantastic Scandinavian French dishes. Service, however, could be more attentive to match the high level of the food. Overall, a magical spot worth the stay.

We had a wonderful stay and the views were just awesome and the splurge for dinner at the restaurant was worth it. Dinner was perfect as well as the views. The staff were great & very helpful. Do be mindful of parking disclosure from the hotel. You do need to be in shape for doing a lot of walking which is to be expected with staying in a 13th century medieval village.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Empfang sehr freundlich. Beim Einchecken erhielten wir viele Informationen über das Schloss und seine Geschichte. Zimmer sehr schön und groß. Was noch wichtig wäre zu erwähnen, was leider vom Hotel verabsäumt wurde. Es gibt KEINE Parkmöglichkeiten da das Hotel direkt in der Stadt liegt und es hier sehr viele kleine verwinkelte Gassen gibt. Parken kann man am Parkplatz unten im Dorf. Ein Anruf genügt und man wird vom Hotel Shuttle abgeholt und direkt bis vor die Türe gebracht.

The property is not accessible by car. It is an old castle on top of a hill with a very narrow street that literally only a smart car/smallest Fiat can navigate. Any other car will get stuck (and have to get towed) or back up 200 meters with virtually no clearance on either side. Instead, you have to park in a cemetery parking lot and walk 15-20min up a very steep path (with luggage!) or ask the hotel to send a smart car to pick you up (very time consuming). This is not highlighted in the hotel summary, there are no warning signs at the beginning of the narrow “street” leading to the hotel and there is no established valet service. We booked the hotel because it is less than 15 minutes from the Nice airport. We indicated in the booking that we would be arriving at 11pm and spoke with hotel reception twice that day to keep them updated and make sure someone would be there for check-in. Incredibly, no one told us about the accessibility issue. Therefore, we arrived late and tired only to drive our car down the long, narrow “street” to the point where we could drive no more and almost got stuck. We had to call the hotel and fortunately the night manager was able to help direct us while backing up 200 meters with virtually no clearance on either side. We then parked our car in the cemetery lot and he drove us to the hotel. We were astonished to hear from him and morning reception that this happens regularly. There were also no towels in our bathroom and room smelled of smoke

So this place is like a fairytale. Beautiful and ancient. The beds are dreamy and we slept so well. Just feels like you are immersed in the history and culture with absolutely stunning views. Keep in mind when booking that it’s a lot of stairs and walking and you can’t drive to it. You must park a little ways away… if that doesn’t bother you, you’ll love this place. Also what did it for us…. The staff were incredible. Absolutely lovely and friendly do anything to make your stay enjoyable, every single one of them.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Empfang sehr freundlich. Beim Einchecken erhielten wir viele Informationen über das Schloss und seine Geschichte. Zimmer sehr schön und groß. Was noch wichtig wäre zu erwähnen, was leider vom Hotel verabsäumt wurde. Es gibt KEINE Parkmöglichkeiten da das Hotel direkt in der Stadt liegt und es hier sehr viele kleine verwinkelte Gassen gibt. Parken kann man am Parkplatz unten im Dorf. Ein Anruf genügt und man wird vom Hotel Shuttle abgeholt und direkt bis vor die Türe gebracht.

This is a walled city... The address for cab drop off took us to construction blocking the way... The walk in with suitcases on cobblestone straight downhill was tough. They said they upgraded us, but we paid the top dollar, and the room was on the top, but not to much of the view. They called a cab to pick us up to go to airport, which cost 38e to get there was 70e to leave... It just felt like we were being taken advantage of... The town is cool, but it is hard to get around with strollers or any walking issues...

I Absolutely loved this hotel! Came here with a friend and we had the sweetest time. parking was convenient down in the village with Jean-Paul, and Samuel picked us up safely when checking in and out. they gave us a free upgrade when the hot water didn't come on quickly in our room and we were very taken care of. The chateau is beautiful! request the cossettini room ** :)

The views are stunning. My room was magnificent. There were good restaurants nearby. My complaint is that there are accessibility issues. I did know this I advance but I was expecting a walk across a plaza not a difficult, steep and poorly signed maze of stairs and allies. It gets worse. The reception AND restaurant are down a steep and winding staircase. There were also steps into my room. I'm not going to change my recommendation or rating because the hotel is wonderful and a unique experience but feel compelled to warn other travelers that this might not be the hotel for them. The staff could have been more helpful. Breakfast and room service were modest but good. Dinner was exceptional.

So this place is like a fairytale. Beautiful and ancient. The beds are dreamy and we slept so well. Just feels like you are immersed in the history and culture with absolutely stunning views. Keep in mind when booking that it’s a lot of stairs and walking and you can’t drive to it. You must park a little ways away… if that doesn’t bother you, you’ll love this place. Also what did it for us…. The staff were incredible. Absolutely lovely and friendly do anything to make your stay enjoyable, every single one of them.

Other reviews referenced the location as not being easily accessible. In fact, not all cars can make it easily to the property (especially vans), but the staff will come help with bags. All this requires is communication. Would stay here again and will recommend to friends and family.

Just wonderful. Tucked away, quaint, and magical. We were lucky enough to be there on a Sunday dedicated to artisans, whose shops were all open. We bought so many stunning pieces. The hotel was just perfect. Service was amazing. Views incredible. Beds were so comfortable and spaces were well equipped. Would happily return!

I must say, normally I don’t write reviews, but I had such a lovely time that I think it’s worth writing a review. I had a long train ride from Paris to Nice, arrived late and the staff was very nice. Picked me up from the parking structure and welcomed me into the amazing hotel. The biggest surprise was the quality of the food, unexpected treat. The service at the restaurant is literally 5 star quality. The best food I had in France (I went to the Eiffel Tower restaurant, and it doesn’t compare). The restaurant in this hotel is beyond what you’d expect. Seriously, try it out. Thanks, I had a lovely stay.

The property is not accessible by car. It is an old castle on top of a hill with a very narrow street that literally only a smart car/smallest Fiat can navigate. Any other car will get stuck (and have to get towed) or back up 200 meters with virtually no clearance on either side. Instead, you have to park in a cemetery parking lot and walk 15-20min up a very steep path (with luggage!) or ask the hotel to send a smart car to pick you up (very time consuming). This is not highlighted in the hotel summary, there are no warning signs at the beginning of the narrow “street” leading to the hotel and there is no established valet service. We booked the hotel because it is less than 15 minutes from the Nice airport. We indicated in the booking that we would be arriving at 11pm and spoke with hotel reception twice that day to keep them updated and make sure someone would be there for check-in. Incredibly, no one told us about the accessibility issue. Therefore, we arrived late and tired only to drive our car down the long, narrow “street” to the point where we could drive no more and almost got stuck. We had to call the hotel and fortunately the night manager was able to help direct us while backing up 200 meters with virtually no clearance on either side. We then parked our car in the cemetery lot and he drove us to the hotel. We were astonished to hear from him and morning reception that this happens regularly. There were also no towels in our bathroom and room smelled of smoke

Property is so charming and lovely. Only build is they must must must tell you that not only is there no parking at the hotel but don’t attempt to pull up to drop your bags….esp in a larger car. Road is very narrow. Property should send specific details upon booking to let guests know but after that blip was fantastic

This is a charming hotel in a beautiful medieval village. The junior suite was very spacious with a large modern bathroom and a balcony with a great view. The restaurant has lovely views of the hills and the sea.

The views are stunning. My room was magnificent. There were good restaurants nearby. My complaint is that there are accessibility issues. I did know this I advance but I was expecting a walk across a plaza not a difficult, steep and poorly signed maze of stairs and allies. It gets worse. The reception AND restaurant are down a steep and winding staircase. There were also steps into my room. I'm not going to change my recommendation or rating because the hotel is wonderful and a unique experience but feel compelled to warn other travelers that this might not be the hotel for them. The staff could have been more helpful. Breakfast and room service were modest but good. Dinner was exceptional.

I must say, normally I don’t write reviews, but I had such a lovely time that I think it’s worth writing a review. I had a long train ride from Paris to Nice, arrived late and the staff was very nice. Picked me up from the parking structure and welcomed me into the amazing hotel. The biggest surprise was the quality of the food, unexpected treat. The service at the restaurant is literally 5 star quality. The best food I had in France (I went to the Eiffel Tower restaurant, and it doesn’t compare). The restaurant in this hotel is beyond what you’d expect. Seriously, try it out. Thanks, I had a lovely stay.

We had a wonderful stay and the views were just awesome and the splurge for dinner at the restaurant was worth it. Dinner was perfect as well as the views. The staff were great & very helpful. Do be mindful of parking disclosure from the hotel. You do need to be in shape for doing a lot of walking which is to be expected with staying in a 13th century medieval village.
