DW STAY HONGDAE

Place was a little far from the subway exit. So be prepared to walk a bit. Blessing is that the exit from subway has escalator so you don’t have to carry the luggage up the stairs. The room is small like most comments. Though we used the space under the bed as storage to help free up some walking space. Only medium size towels and shower, hair, conditioner, toilet paper and tissue is provided. So if you need basic amenities like toothbrush and toothpaste, you would have to buy or bring them with you. There’s a mini pantry area with water dispenser outside each floor as well as coffee mix with paper cups. So no bottled water is provided. As mentioned by some comments, the soundproofing of rooms is not that great. So you can hear people walking in the corridor and opening and closing of doors as well. Overall, if you are looking for an affordable place just to sleep that is not too far from the subway, you can consider this place!

I think this hotel would be okay for short stays, but I wasn\'t thrilled with it for my 2.5 week trip. The area is magnificent and the staff were all kind and helpful, but I had some minor issues with many aspects of the property itself. The room was quite small and not adequately ventilated, so it became overwhelmingly hot and humid while you were away (and the bathroom never dries fully). The expedia listing mentioned a washer/dryer which was the main reason I booked here, but those were not available for customer use. You can ask the room to be "made up" any day you want, but I quickly discovered they did not clean the rooms or even replace the bedding. Only towels were refreshed and sheets were put back properly on the bed... but not cleaned. Due to the humidity of the room and my longer stay, this was really unfortunate. Finally, these rooms are absolutely NOT soundproof... although it was mostly quiet and not an issue, there were several times I woke up to a dog barking in another room or someone throwing up. Unfortunately, that second one happened multiple days in a row, but I guess Hongdae is an all night party area, so it is what it is. Overall, I don\'t think I\'d book here again unless it was a short stay (maybe 2 or 3 days at most). For a similar price, you can find much higher quality places around Seoul.

It is my 2nd time staying with DW Hongdae. Short walk from Hongik Univ station Exit 3. Self Check-In/Out is a breeze, luggage lift is awesome! Definitely will choose to stay here when I am in seoul next time.

10 mins walk from Hongik.Univ station. Luggage lift is a big point!! Save us from carrying our heavy luggage to our room which is at level 3.

施設自体はとても清潔で明るくて、寝具もきれいでよかったです。 お部屋に冷蔵庫はありませんが、各階に自由に使える冷蔵庫があるので取りに行く不便さは感じません。 シャワーも水圧十分でした。 わりと潔癖なとこもある私ですが、こちらは清掃に関してはまったく問題ありませんでした。 気になった点はテレビの音量がMAXにしてもほぼ聞こえないレベルにしかならなかったことと、ランドリー設備が使えると記載がありましたが実際は使えなかったことです。 洗濯機はありましたが、そこにはスタッフオンリーと書かれており、しかし日中何度もフロントに行きましたが1度も人がいなかったので、宿泊客は使えないのか、どのようにすればよいのか方法がわからなくて困りました。 洗濯出来るつもりで洗剤も持って行っていたので、洋服のやりくりが出来ず大変でした。 それ以外はよい施設だと思います。

The room was very clean! Just enough room for the bed, so a good option if you don't want to spend much time in the room. The wifi did not work for me except in the common room. The shared amenities were a nice touch.

De eigenaresse was heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Keuken had alles wat nodig was. Kamer was aan de kleine kant.

Leider keine Rezeption vorhanden,im Wirtschaftsbereich nur ein Telefon zum anrufen das wir angekommen sind waren sehr erschrocken und enttäuscht,Zimmer sehr klein und hellhörig eben nur für Übernachtung geeignet.Eigentlich nur was für 3-5Tage.Die Umgebung hat uns sehr sehr gut gefallen.

自助checkin非常方便，離地鐵站出口有段距離，但整體離商圈不遠，晚上周遭安靜。建築物本身的隔音不算好，門外跟樓上的動靜都聽得到，停留的期間噪音不嚴重，房間小，雙人房攤開行李後幾乎沒有空位

대체로 불만스럽지 않습니다만 조명들 옆 거미줄과 화장실 배수구에서 나는 냄새는 개선되어야 할 것입니다

まず、人が在中していない。 \u3000 覚悟はしていましたが 玄関を入ると目の前に2段ベッド 目の前にトイレとシャワー室 そのシャワー室からなのか 部屋がカビ臭くて辛かったです。 一度部屋を出で出かけましたが戻るのが嫌になる程… あと、部屋にあるタオルが これまたカビ臭くて、顔を洗って拭いたら 匂いが臭くて臭くて… 自分のタオルを使いました。 ドラム式で自分で洗ってるみたいで 何年も使っているか、漂白剤を入れてないか、半乾きでおいてるかどちらかです。 タオルは業者に洗濯をお願いしないなら 定期的に新品に交換したほうがいいです。 タオルは1番の苦痛でした。

The entrance door keeps open. >...< Poor sound insulation... even they said it is a soundproof room. I could clearly hearing what the next rooms talked about. And I was kept woken up by the same floor guestroom when they in or out. I couldn't slept well during the traveling. But the site is easy to reach Yeonnam-dong & Hongdae

Nice stay, well located and easy to get around. It was quite noisy, especially at night (drains, other rooms etc). Bathroom is a wet room, not a shower but this wasn’t the end of the world. For the price, worth it! Lots of coffee shops / restaurants etc nearby.

整體都非常好！只是房間真的比較小！浴室沒有乾濕分離。

Comfortable bed

This location is great if you’re visiting Hongdae and Yoenamdong. Considering the price, I can’t really complain about the place. But the bedding and towels are not what you would expect, so you might want to bring your own. The single room I stayed in was really small, with no space to put your luggage. I had to put it under the bed. There was also no shower booth.

客房整潔，Check in 服務員有禮貌和耐性，地點方便

Easy check-in; could get in the room after one call as the reception was empty. The lady sent me the room number and the password right after checking my reservation. The room was spacious and very cleanly arranged. There was some cold air from the wall side, but the heater and floor heating kept the room very warm.

日本語に対応していると記載があったけど、実際には通じなかった。だけど、それでも分かるまで丁寧に教えてくれたので助かりました！！

This place is extremely dirty and run down and lacks amenities as well. The service was basically nonexistent tbh. The only positive aspect about this place is probably that the bed is pretty comfy

Excellent location and comfortable room. Will definitely be back to stay here again when I visit Seoul.

The location is very closed to Hongik University Station Exit 4. The area is very quiet but I cut my visit short as I was looking for a more brighter room and more space. I needed something that made me feel more comfortable. It’s convenient for solo travellers that are on a budget.

This place was perfect as a base for exploring around Seoul with one of the main train stations a 5min walk away....it was clean, easy and we'll maintained with minimal fuss .... Thank you

The stay itself was nice, in fact it might be my favorite one out of ones I’ve stayed in Seoul so far. For one person, it’s really not a bad deal and the bed was nice. My only minor issues were the claims of sound proof when it was not and the (hot and humid) 10 minute walk to public transit (I’m lazy). They weren’t deal breakers or anything major but definitely things to look out for if these are things you want differently. Honestly, for the price, I enjoyed my overall stay and would definitely book here again given the chance.
