There is no real entrance to the Hotel. Had to wonder around for awhile until the manager saw me and took me to an elevator. The room is big and the balcony view is fantastic. Problem is the place is a total dump that should have been shut down or remodeled a decade or more ago. It’s a run-down, dirty, unmaintained mess. The showers are disgusting with moldy curtains, shower heads from the 80s with limescale so bad they barely work. Shower doesn’t drain and the floor is…yuck!!! No fan in the bathroom so the ceiling of course is all moldy. Bed is big and as hard as the dirty tile floor. The big bright street light shinning directly at the room makes sitting on the balcony after dark painful to the eyes. Don’t bring your children or drunk friends here—the balcony railings are a huge safety hazard, falling apart and missing big sections, just waiting for someone to lean on them before and fall to their death. I’ve stayed at older hotels on the island and at least they were clean and maintained. This one is far from that. They have two pools, both are disgusting, old, dirty, missing half the tiles, cold, etc.. Loud buzzing of electrical equipment by the pools make it impossible to sit and relax for a moment. Total bates motel vibe here. I feel like a need a shower just writing this. Gross!

We absolutely loved this little hotel, nothing fancy but very clean, comfortable beds. Great AC. Hot water takes a few minutes to kick in but this does not deter me in any way. The morning coffee service is adorable. The view from the balcony is priceless. Nice clean little pool a d sundeck. Location is excellent you can walk everywhere in town. Wonderful change from big AI resort vacationing. Highly recommend this little place.

This traditional Mexican hotel is located in a great downtown location. The Malecon and ocean are right across the street. The view from the balcony is excellent. It’s also within walking distance to the ferry terminal, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, etc. The front desk staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They deliver complimentary coffee and pasties to your room every morning, so that’s an added bonus. The negative aspect of this location, is the all day street and traffic noise. Also, the swimming pool and pool areas aren’t very inviting.

This is a fine place for divers because it's close to the pier where you're picked up to go diving. There isn't an elevator though so you have to lug your gear up and down the steps. And if you're looking for a hot shower after a day of diving, forget about it. The rooms are spacious and the staff do a fone job of keeping everything clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Check in easy. Natalia is very nice It’s a small boutique hotel. No crazy party Great for a relaxing stay. Watch people from the balcony. Walking and cruise boats coming and going. Place has everything you need. Hot water. 2 pools both are clean. A restaurant down below seperate from the hotel. Great location. On Main Street no taxi needed.

Elevator was out of service. Husband has mobility issues. If I had known the elevator was out of service I would have booked another place. They did carry or luggage up to our room but our room was actually moved to the second floor so he would not have to take more stairs than nessary. I truly wish they would have formed us before we came that the elevator was out of service.

Hotel felt neglected, though apparently they are doing construction on the pool area. Furniture was stained, dirty and broken (I had them remove a chair from my room during check in so I wasn’t blamed for it). Very dated and well worn though I could tell they were trying to keep it clean. The rooms have no soundproofing and just the dropping of objects on the floor from upstairs guest was loud. I only stayed 1 of the 3 nights I booked. All that said, the staff was very friendly and the location is great (the sliding door was pretty sound proof enough to deal with the street noise) and they were generous is offering compensation as I checked out early.

Our room could have used a makeover, it had seen better days. The site said there was a laundry, no laundry. Some of the towel we were given should have been rags. Very noisy till 1 am or later. I have no idea how they were given "very good" rating.

The establishment desperately needs to be updated. Only one staff member (Coral) was able to communicate in English, so everything was complicated when she was not there. As far as that goes, it's as much our fault for not speaking Spanish. The cleanliness also needs improvement. And of course, as it is expected if you choose to be on the main Melgar Street, it is noisy, so nothing to complain here. Close to everything.

My favorite hotel on Cozumel. Right in the middle of the action, but quiet after hours. Nice clean spacious rooms and the balconies with sea view are comfortable and pleasant. Staff are the absolute best people.

Aaron and the team at Vista Del Mar ate terrific! The place is located perfectly — near everything you want to do—not in the middle of everything yet within very quick walking distance. The view of the Port/ocean is incredible. The pool is super clean. Aaron gave helpful recommendations for nearby grocery stores. And the housekeeping staff members were happy, always smiling, and always gracious. When I come back to Cozumel in December, I will be staying here for two weeks! Truly wonderful!

Amazing hotel with the nicest staff ever. I emailed them prior to coming if they can hook me up with champagne, flowers and candles to propose to my girlfriend and they made it happen big time. Elevator was out of service. Husband has mobility issues. If I had known the elevator was out of service I would have booked another place. They did carry or luggage up to our room but our room was actually moved to the second floor so he would not have to take more stairs than nessary. I truly wish they would have formed us before we came that the elevator was out of service.

This traditional Mexican hotel is located in a great downtown location. The Malecon and ocean are right across the street. The view from the balcony is excellent. It’s also within walking distance to the ferry terminal, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, etc. The front desk staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They deliver complimentary coffee and pasties to your room every morning, so that’s an added bonus. The negative aspect of this location, is the all day street and traffic noise. Also, the swimming pool and pool areas aren’t very inviting.

Vista del Mar has become one of our favorite places to stay on the island. The ocean views, busy street with plenty of people to watch makes it a place one is never bored. Close to food and entertainment. Rooms are always clean, and front desk clerks are always super friendly and willing to assist with anything. Beds are harder but comfortable for us. We plan to stay there when we return next year for Carnival.

Have stayed here before. Staff is excellent! However, there is always issues with the air-conditioning. My AC barely worked. My buddy's didnt work and got switched to a room that also had a bad AC. Building is in town so be prepared for some noise. But also the convenience of being able to walk to great food and drink.

Aaron and the team at Vista Del Mar ate terrific! The place is located perfectly — near everything you want to do—not in the middle of everything yet within very quick walking distance. The view of the Port/ocean is incredible. The pool is super clean. Aaron gave helpful recommendations for nearby grocery stores. And the housekeeping staff members were happy, always smiling, and always gracious. When I come back to Cozumel in December, I will be staying here for two weeks! Truly wonderful!

The location is ideal if you want to be close to downtown and lots of access to activities that many depart from the downtown area. There is room to park a scooter if you rent one, but you will have to street park a car. If you want that ideal view, make sure to book the ocean view room, They have other rooms without view's. The staff is super friendly and helpful, I hear they will bring breakfast and coffee if you ask, we did not. These are not pristine "resort" rooms, but everything works, the a/c was cold, the hot water was hot (might take a minute to get there, but it's there) and they keep the rooms really clean. For the location and convenience, I would definitely stay there again!!

Check in easy. Natalia is very nice It’s a small boutique hotel. No crazy party Great for a relaxing stay. Watch people from the balcony. Walking and cruise boats coming and going. Great little place right on the main road. Although we didnt have an ocean view room, we liked the place. Our balcony was in the back so less street noise and the balcony was huge. It was a nice touch to get coffee and croissant delivered to our door the next morning.

The Hotel was located in a awesome area for everything you want to do and all that you may need. The cruise ships ans sunsets were epic and so many options for food.
