Nice location, reasonably priced, main downfall is no pool at this property

This property had everything I needed for a one night stay…parking, comfortable sleeping accommodations, on-site parking and convenience to getting to the boardwalk. While parking is very tight, you are guaranteed one space per room. I was also able to check in and park before my room was ready. We just spent the day at the beach and came back and picked up keys and went right to the room.

Room was clean. Parking was a challenge. No ice machine was unacceptable.

The basics in a motel room. Double twin beds, mini fridge, microwave, tv and ac unit. The bathroom is a bit spacious and it was clean and ready when i checked in late afternoon. Parking is a bit tight but one can leave the vehicle ½ a block around the corner in a municipal lot. Check in was quick, there's a restaurant next door and the boardwalk is a block away. Dogs are welcomed with a fee. Enjoyed my stay in here.

Beds were not very comfortable. Anytime you moved, you could wake up the people across the street. Felt like we were “roughing it” for the two nights we stayed there. On site parking was very tight but they do have off-site parking. Liked that they give you beach access tags. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again for a night or two.

It worked nicely for us. Very close to the boardwalk. The rooms were cute and updated. The parking was a little tight but we had a nice spot and didn't have to move our car.

They had no ice (they were waiting for a part for the ice machine) wanted to give us $$ to go get ice. The one bed was broken.

Close to boardwalk. We have a larger van style vehicle so it was much better for us to use the large lot. Overflow parking lot was close and monitored. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Last minute getaway to OCNJ, grabbed the 'apt' and it was very large: full living room with 3 sofas, dining area, full sized kitchen, plus a separate bedroom and bath. The bed was small for the size of the room but worked well for my young son and myself and was comfortable. Bathroom very small and odd layout but again for a night, it was fine. There are 2 ac units for the apt, one in living space and one in bedroom. The bedroom one was a bit loud but was fine because it helped drown out the noise of neighboring rooms. Other reviewers noted walls were very thin, this is true, practically like sharing a room. Overall for a night or two, it worked perfect for us to walk up to the boardwalk and enjoy the beach. Parking can be tough (very small lot with some overflow parking we were told about but since we could walk everywhere we didn't have to move the car and lose our spot.)

The room Needs black out curtains as the motel signs just light up the room all night.. the space was nice but the beds were full of sand otherwise location was great

Room was dirty. Floor planks coming up in the room. Sheets dirty. Woman at the desk was very nice though.

Everything is spotless at the Coral and it is the perfect affordable place to stay near the boardwalk in OCNJ. The manager, Greta Markova, is simply outstanding and will do everything possible to make your stay perfect. The rooms were renovated and modernized a few years ago and it’s better than ever!

Clean room and bathroom. Easy parking . Beach tags were included which was a plus. Just had to leave a deposit hold for them but that was a big savings. Staff super friendly and helpful.

Clean and close to boardwalk - good value will return

Stayed here for 3 nights with a friend, conveniently close to shops, cute breakfast and lunch places as well as the beach and boardwalk! Staff were super friendly, room was very clean and very nice I should add!

I stayed here years ago and it was nice which is why I booked with my children this past week. The location is great! This time, I am not having the same experience. The check in woman was very hospitable however the room is disgusting. There was some sort of substance on two of the pillows and the beds are sandy. The door is unsecured. The dead bolt does not work and the chain lock is literally out of the wall. During the day, you can see between the doorframe and door. I had to buy pillow cases to cover our pillows. Quite frankly, I am not sure what gets clean around here. There was 1/2 a roll of toilet paper so I went to the desk to ask for more. She was very kind and gave me 3 rolls. I told her I would put any excess under the sink and she told me not to because it could leak. Who knows what else I should have been expecting during our stay This place is also missing necessary outlets and is not up to code. I felt unsafe and was just appalled. In addition the wifi was so bad we were unable to use it therefore not having complete access to our phones. I did not want to worry my children so we stayed as it was only two nights and had no where else to go.

The floors were so dirty when we arrived. That was the bad part. But the girl at the front desk went out of her way and came to our room and scrubbed the floors herself.

Staff were extremely nice and helpful. Room was extremely clean and a very short walk to the boardwalk. I have a larger suv so parking was a bit tricky but we managed!

The rooms are dated but clean. The shower wss new. Property is small. Second floor has a sitting deck on each end. It is very close to boardwalk. We had a great time whiewe were there.

We love the feel of the place. It's got the feel of the beach I remember from when I was a kid. It really feels like the beach! The big corporate motels all feel the same, and they lack the personality and charm. That said, the door adjoining our room (105) with the adjacent room (106 I think) was paper thin and offered no sound buffer. The people in the next room weren't being loud, but it was as if they were carrying on their conversation in our room well into the night, making it impossible for us to get to sleep. When we checked out early this morning, we were worried that we would wake or disturb them. But aside from that, our stay was great! Thank you for an excellent weekend!

The room they put me in had a window to a raised parking lot and the flooring was peeling off the floor.

The room was spacious! The floor was dirty and the wood flooring was sticking up all over. The only window in the room was frosted, so the only way to look out the window, was to open it. Parking was limited in the motel parking lot and the parking spaces were tight! There was additional parking off of the side street near the motel. The young man who checked me in was very polite and he warned me about the flooring sticking up. We had two queen beds, but one of them had a mattress that you could feel the springs when you either sat on it or laid on it. There were two refrigerators in the room. It was about a two and a half block walk to the boardwalk. The bathroom was about he size of a closet! (Very small)

There was a huge gap under the door, it was missing the weather seal. The beds were very uncomfortable, very springy. The furniture was very dated, especially the tiny dresser. The wall where the air conditioner was, had cracks and missing Sheetrock, like small holes.

Overall it was ok--After the holiday you save money of course-we rented the apartment-was roomy and dated but overall nice-the bathroom is very small-the worst was the beds-very uncomfortable and creeky like old frames and legs-could not get a good nights sleep at all-glad we onlt stayed one night---overall just expect to get what you pay for--if the beds were better would of been a much more enjoyable stay

Very nice, friendly, helpful staff, but room was pretty rough. Beds are old, lumpy and very squeaky. Walls are thin and had to listen to a kid (not a baby) screaming until midnight. Old school OC kitsch is funny at first, location is good but might look elsewhere next time.

Bed was definitely firm but not too bad, pillows were like cotton balls, internet wasn’t great, but that’s all the negatives everything else was great. Staff was amazing - the lady at the front desk was great!

Wonderful place! Greta does her best to make sure every guest is happy. Always clean, always comfortable, always terrific. We will go back again, definitely.

Nice little motel just a block from the boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ. Complete with parking and close to just about everything. Before we went there we read up about the wonderful hospitality of Greta and were certainly not disappointed. All in all a pleasant place to stay.

Greta does a great job managing the Coral Sands. We always feel welcome when we check in and enjoy staying there. It's centrally located and within walking distance to the places we like to go. Being a block away from the boardwalk and beach is a real plus.

Contacted the hotel prior to the stay via hotels.com messenger and they answered my questions that I had. People there were very friendly and polite. We arrived early, was able to get parking as well as get into our rooms early. My initial concern for a lack of parking based off pictures was resolved as they said they had an overflow lot. Parking is tight, but that is the case with all hotel parking in OCNJ. It is conveniently located by Augies Waffles/Omelette that we frequent for breakfast and is a great spot. Found out we get 10% off at Augies for staying here. Room was a nice size, spacious. It had 2 beds that were both of different softness that worked in my favor. Our room had 2 mini fridges, that was nice if we had more stuff, but was not needed. Bathroom was up to date. Room itself you could tell they tried bringing it up to date, but the ceiling/walls are original but painted. The downside of this room that we had was the floors. Floors are obviously newer style laminate or vinyl floors. The floors were buckling upwards as if it had flooded at 1 point and never replaced. Weather stripping around door could be added to keep the cool dry air in and the warm humid air out. I also would have preferred an additional interior door locking device instead of just the knob lock. Overall, the stay was great. It served as a home base for us while in OCNJ. It is close to the boardwalk and other spots.

We love staying at the Coral Sands and have been doing so for years. Will continue to do so! Always clean and comfy and the staff goes above and beyond to make us happy. The manager, Greta, is a true gem. It’s right behind the boardwalk and everything is walkable. We will be back!

The location of this property is Outstanding! The room was clean, and the bathroom was clean and had a good shower with very hot water. The room was not large or fancy, but nice enough for sleeping as we hardly spent any time there. So close to the beach and boardwalk, bike rentals and many restaurants. Downtown shopping is also close by.

The 40’s motel is holding up well with owners loving touches. The shower was upgraded with a stone style tile. Room had everything one would expect. Location good is great for families, a block from beach & boardwalk.

Quick and easy check in. An older hotel, just a block and a half from the boardwalk. Restaurant next door. Definitely not fancy, but they had what I needed.

This was nice hotel to stay in for a four day vacation. They are very accommodating. Quiet. We didn’t hear any noise. Only thing I would suggest is sponges in the room for cleaning and extra paper towels in the suite. It didn’t ruin our stay just would be helpful to clean after cooking in the room. The little extra room in our room was great for privacy. So close to the beach and the bbq restaurant nexts door is nice and convenient. Food was delicious. Thank you. We enjoyed our stay.
