Hampton Inn Omaha/West Dodge Road (Old Mill)

Very happy with the location and condition of the building and our room, with the exception of a very loud heater and shower when in use. Also there is no hot tub in the pool area. Otherwise, very clean and comfortable. Lots of counter space and ample drawers in our room. The staff was excellent.

The property is being renovated, but there was little interruption due to that. The parking lot is in desperate need of repair, which I will assume is on the agenda. The room was just right. Location is convenient to all of Omaha and even the far western suburbs. We were given a note when we checked in that made it sound like Hilton expected us to be in our room when they came around to check the strength of the Wi-fi, but there was not schedule. We let the front desk know that if we happened to be there that was fine, but our plans did not include waiting in our room all weekend on the chance someone may stop in for a minute. The desk clerk was great and told us not to be concerned.

Upon check-in I specifically asked to have only my bed made every day because I realize the longer stays receiving only full housekeeping every five days. Three out of seven of my mornings my bed was not made. I mentioned it again on two different occasions. The staff was very apologetic. The pool and hot tub had been out of service for months.

Staff are greaty. Very nice and helpful. This is the 2nd visit in the last year and the remodel is slow and things are not looking good. Bathrooms and pool closed, floor ripped up, just not nice. Won't stay here next visit in 2 months

We really liked this hotel! My husband stayed there a week ago and liked how everything was so we ended up booking it again for our family stay (have never booked the same hotel twice because it was never great to come back). Great facility, nice warm pool, very good breakfast (I mean they even have fresh strawberries and whipped cream!). I definitely recommend this place!

Room was clean and well decorated. Staff was friendly and the free breakfast offerings were pretty standard but good. Hotel was undergoing renovations and many amenities were not available, which wasn’t made clear during booking. The room included a tub which was non-functional (the stopper was disabled so only shower was available). The water pressure was also pretty lackluster.

Hotel was under renovations, but still very clean. Breakfast was simple yet very hot and delicious. Friendly staff. Con: parking lot needs major repair.

Negative: the parking lot was a mess with pot holes all over making parking complicated. We stayed on the 4th floor, it looks like maybe they recently updated the rooms but our door was not put on right and you had to yank it open and slam it shut. Same with others as we could hear people struggling with their doors too making the whole floor extra loud. The shower when your turned it on sounded like it was about to burst until you pulled the lever and the faucet hits the mirror when you turn it on so you can’t adjust the temperature right or left. Lastly, the AC was so loud it was hard to get any sleep when it would turn on/off. Positive. The location of the property is convenient right off 680/Dodge; It was clean, bed was comfy, staff was friendly and the breakfast was great and kept very clean/tidy. And the gym was nice, better than other hotels I have seen as far as equipment goes. If they could fix the room doors/AC it would be 5 stars.

Checked in and pool was closed. Not communicated when we booked through Travelocity. Room had a bathtub full of dirty water.

Our stay was awesome. Staff was warm and friendly. Very helpful. Room was exceptional. The breakfast chef did a fantastic job keeping food warm and fresh. The entire staycwas second to none. Loved the fitness center.

Bathroom floor needed some extra cleaning we thought.

Staff was extremely friendly and rooms and public areas were clean and well-maintained. Only complaint is sheets and linens were pretty low quality and stiff.

I checked in at 11:00 at night, the first room I got had a really loud noise next door, they gave me another room and the a/c was making a worse noise than the one from the first room, at that time I was so tired that I just gave up. The whole time had to keep the a/c off. The outside of the toilet was really dirty, pee stains and hair on the bathroom floors. Please stay somewhere else!

I stayed here last summer and it was great. Chose it again for this weekend and not so much this year. Air conditioning was so loud, i had to wear ear plugs. New TVs are a mess....terribly hard to navigate and volumn went from mute to 30.....nothing in between. Cockroach in the bathroom sink the first morning there. Not sure I'll choose this Hampton Inn location again. Very disappointing.

Too close to interstate so road noise was a little inconvenient.

The air conditioner/fan made the most horrendous noise, so we couldn’t keep our room nice and cold. We didn’t let the front desk know, I didn’t want the hassle of moving all of our stuff! So we just didn’t use the heater or air conditioner. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. Could use a coat of paint inside, so many scrapes on doors and walls. Also, we like a dark hotel room, light comes in from above the floor air conditioner/heater. Plus so much light from the hallway door. Overall good location and clean hotel.

It’s a very nice, comfortable hotel but our tv didn’t work. We went there because our power was out so it was disappointing not being able to watch tv

It was fine. Except that the room backed up to the elevator shafts and the wall vibrates and the sound of the elevators running came right through the wall. Maybe if you moved the beds from THAT wall to the opposite it would help when trying to sleep. Also you should pist what the cost for having a pet with you is rather than Suprise!!!! That will be $75.00 for your 9lb dog to stay with you, Really!!!

We reported this issue to Hilton Corp. office. At this W. Omaha hotel, the customer-facing staff af front desk and dining area were terrific. The nature of the problem is that I reserved a specific room type, with the goal of entertaining visitors (one bed, sofa and coffee table), but at check-in, we were wrongly given a standard room (2 queen beds). The staff at the front desk (Derrick and Colleen) were helpful, assuring us that the problem would be fixed in the morning. The morning desk agent, Colleen, was friendly and professional. She assured us that we would be moved to the right room as soon as it was clean and ready (which occurred at 11 am). After this room (207) was cleaned, we packed and cleared everything from our first room, moved our luggage to the hallway, and went to retrieve the new keys. Note that our luggage was in transition in the hallway between the rooms. Then Manager Kim King got involved. She first told Colleen to inform my husband they would not move us to a new room. Next, when we said that the hotlel's error and refusal to corrrect it were unacceptable, Ms. King threatened to have guards remove us. At last, she viewed our reservation and whispered to Colleen, "this was our mistake" and said she would allow us to move. Ms King apologized once and thought it justified her behavior. Later, at check-out, she was unprofessional again. She first promised us a refund, then said we should have left the hotel when we arrived. She continued arguing with me.

The property internet was down, which took 20 minutes to fix before we good get checked in, and the staff member was rude and unresponsive

Colleen at the front desk was awesome. Came from out of town to work. Worked outside all day and when i checked in she was super fast and even gave us a bottle of water! The breakfast in the morning was delicious. Lots of options.

Nice hotel, it’s right off the Interstate which does not leave much of a view. The area around the hotel are mainly business building, so I felt safe. Nice hotel and staff, would visit again.

Hotel is great, and location is quiet. Wish they had EV (Electric Vehicle) chargers at the hotel.

Staff were fantastic! The hotel is easy access from Dodge St. and close enough to Children’s Hospital, shopping, and restaurants.

I expected a better breakfast. I’ve stayed at other Hampton Inns & they had more hot breakfast items. The pillows need to be replaced. They were too flat.

Dennis was the person in charge of breakfast on Sunday, July 7. He was low on supplies & so busy; but he was so attentive & helpful to us that morning!

We stayed here because of the great reviews. The hotel was super clean, beds comfortable, staff was nice. My only complaint is it says breakfast is from 6am-10am. We got down to the kitchen at 9:20am and most of the hot food was out. I asked one of the staff members if they were bringing more food out and she said no because there’s only 30 minutes left. I feel if breakfast is until 10am, then there should be food all the way until 10am. It was super frustrating. I guess at least they had waffles but still the reviews talked about how good the breakfast was.

Breakfast was excellent as usual. Dennis is the best…he does a great breakfast and is so personable. We returned because of him. The room was clean, staff great. Will always stay at this hotel whenever we visit Omaha.

There was a mix up with our reservation of two rooms. It was on the Hampton Inn end was able to work it out through the Hotels.com chat. Stayed 3 nights. Morning breakfast not as good as our stay last June but still a cut above most hotel comp breakfasts. Friendly staff. We’ll continue to return.
